I never thought i would ever see Night Ranger live and i know many others felt the same, so this was a real dream come true for some and they didn't disapoint. It was a truly special show, they even threw in some Damn Yankees stuff which was awesome, out of this world show from one of the greatest AOR bands ever! They were absolutley outstanding and how i kept my shit together i do not know ... c

You've hit the nail on the head there BMG....for me personally music is about the ears not the eyes.... and besides Erik 'popping' his groin at me didn't make me go WOW what a front man... I shall be popping my groin at all the ladies today Erik styleee as they loves it.... sadly i think unlike Erik i'll be carted off by the Heddlu (google it - i'm in Wales!) Woody

One man's band of the day is not reflective of everyones opinion. Personally I think H.E.A.T are all fur coat and no knickers.... They are visually exciting but i just don't connect with their music, Erik's vocals were a little bit off at times too actually screeching on occasion - but thats all part of the fun of a live gig. Yes plenty of people enjoyed H.E.A.T band of the day for every

As you know Mark i've no problem with the use of backing tapes within reason - and i've been given lots of grief on here for stating that, so thanks for stating a similar opinion. Many bands regardless of genre use backing to enhance their sound live. Yeah DCJ - H.E.A.T used backing tracks for the entire set. Sour Grapes? no, real raw emotion - passion and belief in music. No one should

Considering any discussions on this board tend to outright condemn any use of backing tapes, no matter how subtle i would expect a lot of people to openly attack H.E.A.T here.....but thats not gonna happen... I've made my point on backing tracks before and i stand by that...although others seem to have one rule for one and another for others #Shame #StandByYourBeliefs It was pretty sloppy t

Everything to come out of the Black Country is awesome #Fact I'm the biggest Feminist you're ever likley to meet James, Personally i'd rather have women in charge of must stuff as certain personality traits come more naturally to women (i.e Compassion and Empathy). Woody

Not knocking your opinion James! I fully respect and understand your viewpoint, but it's just my opinion is a little different to yours. Out of genuine curiousity how do you feel about a lot of 80's rock vids? i know you're older now but in reflection how do you feel about them? A lot of those vids showed women been submissive, objectified and exploited. Thankfully times have changed since the

yeah i agree Matt. I have nieces 12 and 14 and i understand James desire to protect his daughter, I've brought them some highly fashionable Bhurkas which they refuse to wear for some bizarre reason and i make sure every 'Boy who is a friend' knows that i will fook them up and show them the spot in my back yard where i burn the bodies, but we can't censor the world to cater for 12 year old girls w

I wasn't expecting the video to get this much stick! haha! C'mon be fair guys their is nothing pornographic and you don't actually see anything you shouldn't (boooooo!!!). Ya see more flesh in the newspapers / lads mags I can understand women/young Ladies not appreciating the video but i wouldn't call it exploitative either.... but if appreciating the beauty of the fairer sex is a crime, ya

Cracking album! I've always had a soft spot for Eclipse, but they genuinely seem to get better with each album. 'Tearing Down The Walls' wasn't universally loved by me! but i know what you mean, i think the vast majority of Melodic Rock fans will splooge all over 'Armagedonize'... Woody

Just been listening to the new Tony Mills album – ‘Over My Dead Body’ and really enjoying it. It’s not what fans may expect this is a very diverse album with lots of influences and flavours from prog, to straight ahead hard rock, old school metal and some instant smooth melodic rock. It is a tad heavier than a lot of Mills well known output even the tracks he has written with Robert Sall

Of course! I'm a massive supporter of Melodic Rock and the scene in general. Sadly your description.... cold hearted, corporate, lets make lots of 'f*ch you money'evil boardroom director IS exactly how the owners of Rock City make me feel....and the posters and all the news say Rock City presents and DHP family are the organisers...so you stating we don't know who is organising it is a

It was the Firefest people NOT the venue that made it a great event and whenever i've spoke to people about it that sense of fun and Camaraderie always comes across in spades full, it's easy to see why people became so passionate and loyal to Firefest. Sadly due to my disability Rock City made it VERY difficult for me to become part of that 'Family' - but i'm sure many Firefesters who have met me

Yes, Jack it makes perfect business sense, I predicted that someone would come in and do this as they have a ready made crowd ready for them who travel there year in year out and love Nottingham. I wasn't expecting it to be the venue themselves truth be told, but i thought someone would have a crack at it.... doesn't stop Rock Shitty been cack though ;-) Woody
