I'd say - if you want to see a good show, with a great band & frontman - go (that's what I do) - if you only want to see a singer like David was many years ago - don't go.

The cult planned the same, just releasing digital eps, and came up with a strong full length album. I think deflep concentrate way too much on their 'hits' ignoring new songs live and that way haven't in any way promoted those songs and albums while touring every year....other bands like maiden and even whitesnake play new songs regularly and sell albums that way as well... I think it's all th

He came into Dokken just after John Norum quit mid-tour 2002 and stayed all through the USA Tour 2003 with Scorpions and WS and the Summer 2003 Tour again with Whitesnake (Rock never stops or something).....

totally disagree about the manic eden album - love it to bits! but then again I didn't really expect anything close to melodic/aor from it - the vocals are definitely matter of taste all the other albums mentioned I tend to agree - some more - some less

oh, and I agree about all those different editions and rereleases - they suck - although some are really worth the money (like the Thin Lizzy, Rainbow, Black Sabbath or the WS + bonus tracks rereleases) - still it's up to everybody not to buy them over and over again. I was lucky to sell some of the "old" on ebay as well

SPV is still there but was restructured and is now functioning on a smaller level - and they lost quite a few acts to their rooster incl. Motörhead, WS and I believe Saxon, too - and those bands still sell in Germany at least!

it's a nice package indeed - with the 4 studio tracks from Live in the shadow of the blues remixed with drums by Chris Frazier plus the DVD is just awesome with a nice acoustic show and cool interview! Japan only it is, cos it was scheduled to be released in 2009 through SPV who went bust - so that got shelved - in Japan it's a different Label!

It's not disappointing since they released the classic rock mag edition 3 weeks earlier and that sold pretty well and is not counted for the UK charts - so getting into the charts at #33 is pretty solid considering they sold about 10.000+ in the first week (March) units of the classic rock mag - edition.....
