standing_hampton. Each to their own fella. I will admit, I saw Quo last on their two Frantic Four reunion gigs in 2013/2014. Even if the playing may have been sloppier (as Francis would say), they fucking rocked. Loudest gig I think I've ever been to and great to hear songs that were all pre-1976

standing_hampton, go listen to Dog Of Two Head, Quo (their best imo), On The Level, Blue For You, Hello and Piledriver and tell me they are a cardigan and slippers cabaret act. edit: Oh sorry, I think I understand your post. Quo in the 70s were untouchable. Yes they've done some shit, especially in the 80s, but their more recent albums (Heavy Traffic, Quid Pro Quo, In Search Of The Fourth C

When Rick Parfitt died on 24th December 2016, I didn't think I'd ever want to see a Status Quo without him there. Afterall, he literally was the backbone of Quo, his rhythm sound was the signature. However, I've given their new album Backbone a few spins and I am pretty impressed. It's quite bluesy-esque and Francis Vocals sound good - he's 70!! Bassist Rhino gets to sing a little and Richi

Tom, it's nuts how quick those 11 years have passed. 2008 was a great year for rock: AC/DC: Black Ice GNR: Chinese Democracy (althought I was disappointed with it) Whitesnake: Good To Be Bad Nickelback: Dark Horse Def Leppard: Sparkle Lounge Extreme: Saudades De Rock

MSL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Apart from Mutt's records. And Neil Kernon's, > Terry Thomas, Martin Birch and more. Production wise, Mutt's albums piss all over a lot of other producers (tmo). Sure he somestimes goes a bit too far, but Highway to Hell, Back In Black, Pyromania, Hysteria and Dark Horse are just superb to my ears.

I don't get them personally. Listened to a few albums and whilst as musicians they're good, the music doesn't grab me.

Agree with ....And Justice For All. Crap production and no bass I'll add: Status Quo: Perfect Remedy - rubbish production, sounds flat. Some boring songs on it and some decent tracks too, so would've been an average album even with better production. They fixed that leaps and bounds on their next album...Rock til You Drop. Rush: Vapor Trails - this one was fixed with a remix release a

I like Adrenalize mostly, however it's a bit too polished. I'd have removed Make Love Like A Man and I Wanna Touch You and replaced with I Wanna Be Your Hero and Ring Of Fire

I'm with you Aussie Dave. Slipknot and Tool headlined Download 2019 in the UK with Def Leppard headlining the Friday. Watched 10 minutes of Slipknot before heading off for a cup of tea instead ;) didn't even bother with Tool.....listened to their CD's and just found them boring. Def Leppard on the other hand were on fire and the best I think I've ever seen them.
