Bluesman, indeed. So that is how many rock artists in the last few months to have top 10 albums in the UK? Black Sabbath Slash (my album of the year for 2014) Status Quo Foo Fighters AC/DC Thunder I'm sure there are more! Edit: Damn! I didn't realize it was 2 years ago that Black Sabbath released 13 - where does the time go??

Indeed. Also, Status Quo re-entered at 39 with Acquostic - their acoustic album of some of their back catalog. That too was their first album of their own material (oustide of standard greatest hits albums) to go top 10 for 23 years.

I have Eclipses last album Bleed & Scream and there are a few good tracks on it, but they all seem to blend into one for me. I have not played it for over a year.

Steve, great post. Some seem to forget that Brian & Roger (and John too) wrote a lot of the songs. Why can't they play them any more just because the singer has died (23+ years ago!!!)

He might be a dickhead, but he is right, imo. Badger Culling? How about human culling as we do more damange to the planet than badgers. Or how about a population limit, no more than 2 children per family worldwide (or a 1 to 1 child / parent ratio).

I've got to admit, that was a pretty impressive performance. Slade was on fire. I like Rudd, but I like Slade too.

If they've got anything like "Only The Good Die Young" I will be very happy. That track is superb (just listening to it now)

Hope they trim the album to 10-12 songs. I don't want a bloated album of filler. Also keep the ballads down to 2.

Underrated: Status Quo - always dissed, but most people have only ever heard the singles Thunder - Superb band and should've been bigger Extreme - Again should've been bigger - like Thunder, arrived on the scene as Melodic Rock took a major back seat to grunge. Work Of Art - rated on Melodicrock.com but a great band who deserve more exposure Overrated: Nirvana - boring Led Zeppelin -

I've been buying digital recently as I just don't have the space any more. Recently purchased The Script & Ed Sheerans new albums for 99p each - bargain! Yes I don't get the super-high quality as it's mp3, but I usually only listen to music in the car on the USB stick any way.

Matt, indeed. Horses for courses. But for us rockers, Wembley Stadium is too big for someone like Ed Sheerans type of music - generally. Songs like "Sing" will probably come off well in such a venue - an interactive song Songs like "The A Team" won't.

Anyone listen to Noels High Flying Birds album - bloody brilliant. I can see where he's coming from. Ed Sheeran is not the type of music that will light up Wembley, but neither were Oasis (I saw them in 2009 before they imploded). Get AC/DC in Wembley Stadium and compare and you will see the difference
