Status Quo from the mid 80's to late 90's. Didn't make me take a break from them, but I know several people who did. They released mostly dog shit albums, especially late 80s and early to mid 90's (though there are gems on almost all of them), but the cover albums were shit. Rock Til You Drop (1991) was a gem of an album in the middle of all of that. Fortunately they found themselves aga

I think it depends on how "BIG" the band is. Bands like AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones can get away with long periods away, be it live or album releases

Now from X by Leppard. So un-radio friendly and a bit boring.

I liked the odd song but not really a fan. However, interesting the comparison to Kay Perry, who's first 3 albums I have liked (with the odd crap song on) and have seen her live (which was entertaining).

Watched this last night with the Mrs. We were laughing our heads off. Really fun movie, with some sad scenes too. The actress who played Heather Locklear - WOW She really looked like her. I'd have liked to have seen this film as a 6 part mini-series instead too, really flesh out the band and their lives. A solid 7.5/10 from me.

I feel the same. I didn't mind going to gigs mid-week when I was in my 20's as it didn#t feel like such a chore getting up, but I have to be up for work at 5:30am, and as I am in my 40's its a struggle getting up with 8 hours sleep. Last gig I saw mid-week (where I didn't have the next day off work) was Foo Fighters....I didn't get home until 2:30am. Screw that.

Francis Rossi from Quo is a prime example of a singer (& guitarist) who has (eventually) looked after himself. He swims 40 pool lengths a day and doesn't do drugs or binge drinking and has kept his weight in check and the result is he has a great voice at 70

Walked out of Oasis in 2009 (just prior to their split) - it was dull - and I like Oasis on record. Went to the pub instead

RIP Jan. Loved Airwolf as a kid. Ramsay, you're not wrong about the theme tune. I practiced for weeks as a young 20-something learning to play that on my keyboard.

Finding the Marvel films are a bit samey. Iron Man & Winter Soldier were superb. I've also really liked Wonder Woman & Aquaman from DC and Shazam looks a hell of a lot of fun.

In fact it was Japan they toured just 2 months prior to Live Aid. Sure the film is inaccurate, but as a "movie" it was entertaining.

it's all about the atmosphere as well. Seeing a live band is better than just listening to it at home (if you are feeling sociable that is). Seen a few - AC/DC, GNR, Pink Floyd, Yes, The Prodigy tribute bands - all really good.

I really like Avril Lavigne, her first two albums are great and number 4 (Goodbye Lullabye) was also good (just listen to Wish You were Here) Yeah she does do some crap (Girlfriend, Hello Kitty) but if they get her noticed by teenies who then latch on to the good stuff, then so be it.
