If it wasn't for Andrews reviews, I'd never have discovered Terry Brock, WET or Work Of Art - fact!

MSL, completely agree. I love Rock n Roll Train, absolute classic. Also really liked Big Jack and War Machine.

He's a business man. Take That are HUGE business. If you've not listened to their album Beautiful World, do so, it's a great album.

I couldn't give a fat rats arse. I've seen pretty much 100s of bands live and Nickelback are the mutts nuts live. As for them sounding the same. Far Away vs Side of a Bullet vs If Today Was Your Last Day vs Animals Nickelback are far more diverse than a lot of other bands.

I actually liked Gary Cherone in VH :) Funny how Genesis and VH wipe from history that they had a vocalist for one album.

Halestorm version of Dissident Aggressor (original Judas Priest) - Halestorms version sounds much better to me. I also like their take on Shoot to Thrill, doesn't top AC/DCs though.

I remember Francis Rossi having hair transplant as his hair (and waistcoat) was his trademark. A few years ago he gave up and had the lot chopped off - better for it. Elton is another example - he just looked strange after his op!

I am off to see him on the Reckless Anniversary tour in November, but I will say, nothing he has done since WUTN has really interested me that much. 18 Til I Die had a few decent tunes on, but I want to hear the bloke rocking.

Def Leppards Long Long Way To Go - such a cracking tune that was ignored by the mainstream. Take that song back to the late 80's early 90's and it would've been a number 1 hit, yet give it to any "hip" boyband/popstar and I guarantee they'd have a hit with it.

Yeah I really dig 80's synth music. In particular Human League, Depeche Mode, Erasure, some Gary Numan/Tubeway Army and Duran Duran. Depeche Mode got a lot darker throughout the 80's into more of a rock Band.

Seen both Motley & Alice (different gigs). Alice blew me away with his tight band - I wasn't expecting much but was very impressed. Motley Crue were just ok. Great stage show, but Vince sucks at singing.

Also consider that technology has moved on, so producing a quality album doesn't (or shouldn't) cost as much these days! The downfall of sales can be attributed to youtube, mp3 (copies) etc. Saying that, the likes of Adele can still sell 30 million albums! I wonder what the total sales would be like if music piracy/streaming wasn't as rife!

Decent list and good to see Status Quo get a mention. If you were going for iconic riffs, I'd say Whatever You Want or Caroline are probably more recognizable. Down Down certainly has a great lead in from Rossi.

I used to be constantly critized and mocked from school to work and sometimes even now for liking 'uncool' bands. I was (and still am) a HUGE Status Quo fan, it hasn't been 'cool' to like Quo since the mid 70's (when I was born), but at the end of the day if I like the music and tunes who the frig gives a hoot? Same applies to Nickelback. I like what I hear. Yeah sure, their lyrics are a li
