Another hit to my wallet.... so many good releases this year. XXXVI? I thought it was XXXV? Their live release being XXXIV, anyone know what XXXV was?

As in grab a pot of coffee because you'll need it to stay awake. I'm a huge fan of this band, but so disappointed with Crapitas. The best song isn't even fresh material: "I Would Die For You" was an old Wetton-Downes demo rebooted a la Finger On The Trigger. Maybe a sign the old well is truly dry.

A terrible loss, he was part of one of my favourite prog acts of the early 90s. http://www.magellansongs.com

Thanks!! Wrote these guys off the map long ago, and never thought they'd resurface. "House of Pain" could be a Darkness track! Love it!!

The song in the opening sequence of "Blackout"/a.k.a. "Business as Usual" from season 4 of "21 Jump Street".... sounds like a female version of Ratt. No idea who this is... does anyone know??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6qVHAJVQJ8

Truly sad news. Can say he went out at the top of his game, as his most recent release, "Any Given Moment", is an AOR masterpiece. R.I.P. Fergie.

Runaway winner for me... "Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep" by Spock's Beard Memorable songs, awesome vocal interplay, with all the right prog moves. Nothing else comes close, IMO.

Always had a soft spot in my heart for these guys. This track came out earlier this year and almost went under my radar. Fans of classic Restless Heart, and AOR-ish country in general, with lots of harmonies, should love it: "Memphis Rain" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVniMMRGGFE

It's been a great year for old Canadian AOR reissues. The Arrows, FM, and now Chilliwack. Just picked up the 3 Chilliwack CD re-issues (never before on CD), "Dreams Dreams Dreams", "Lights from the Valley" and "Breakdown in Paradise". Really well done, just hope "Rockerbox" comes down the pipes soon to complete their discography. Also noticed 2 of Doucet

It's an autobiographical account based on his own daughter's adoption, so for you to cry "insincere" shows you know nothing about the back story here. Couldn't be any MORE sincere, and definitely something in line with John's beliefs, whether you share them or not.

"Black Noise" had been issued previously, but went out of print, so this latest wave of re-issues is a godsend!! A "Con-Test" CD issue would be great to have next.

I just found out this weekend that 3 classic FM (Canada) prog albums are now (finally!) on CD: "Direct to Disc", "Surveillance" and "City of Fear". Just a heads-up to anyone who, like me, ranks these albums among the finest to ever come out of Canada! Now someone just needs to get late 70s Chilliwack titles on CD!!
