The new guy (Jeff Coffey) looks and sounds like Peter Cetera. Don't rule 'em out just yet.

4. Nature
The band Nature might fit the bill. They were electronic while retaining a hard rock edge. Sort of like a White Zombie lite with 80's hair metal elements. https://www.amazon.com/Nature/dp/B00079PGIU/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1476732199&sr=1-1&keywords=nature+cd+1995

This release seems to have received very little press or hype. I listened to it today and it seemed pretty average and non-essential. The leadoff track was okay, and one song reminded me of Dio, but a lot of the same old same (Sunstorm syndrome?) bland, unmemorable AOR. I don't recall the drums being off though. It's a shame because, when it came to British AOR, there was a time when Change of

Can't believe it's been 26 years since their Vision Thing masterpiece. I wonder if they'll ever release a follow-up. I can't name another band that's guilty of such a creative stand-still.

Could this be it? Duran Duran's "What are the Chances". 1) it's a ballad 2) it repeats "looking for answers" twice 3) it could be mistaken for Bryan Adams over faraway mall speakers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qWTHJnGf50
