The band was Jean, tommy on guitar, hawk Lopez on drums and Dario Seixas on bass. Rock and roll has been performed by crown of thorns many times. After speaking with Jean it was a conscious effort to do a set list overlooking his whole career and personally I think he nailed it.

He also cowrote "thrills in the night" with Paul and Desmond, as well as the title track "shocker" with Desmond child, and Paul's demo from the 80's in "best man for you", as well of course as "winterland" and "a lover like you" with Paul. Very talented songwriter.

Jean Beauvoir and band have just returned from a few shows in Belgium and Spain where he performed his cowritten KISS track "Uh all night". I think he nails it...good to see the album tempo transformed to the live version. I always thought KISS performed it too quickly on the odd times they played it. Check it out below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ0zWP0lYIk&feature=youtu.

Can't say I'm a fan of his but have to give big kudos for the show he puts out. 3 hrs and a revolving set list. Truly Classic in every way. And coming from a BIG Kiss fan...I'm sorry Gene and Paul but this is to quote you "How the big boys do it!".

Catchy...but not keen on all the effects. Vocals sound very auto tuned to these ears.

Cool clip. I guess a lead vocal takes camera time over a guitar solo ;)

Never thought I'd see the day Voodoo X was a chance to hit the stage again. With all the things Jean has going on, either some good $$$ were thrown their way, or Jean has decided to resurrect the voodoo ;)....fingers crossed for a Vol 2 ...vol 1 was a ripper!!

I've spoken with Jean recently and there's no talk of a new COT album this year at least...jean is busy with some other projects (both music and tv), while Tommy Lafferty is concentrating on his side band From The Fire. I know both guys would be keen on a new COT album in the future, but who's knows when that will be....anyone expecting Micki to be back in COT anytime soon...well there was a reas

It's growing on me after a few listens. Not as heavy as I hoped for with CTC as the definite rocker. Can't get use to the drum sound...very weak in my opinion and there seems to be a lot of drum samples on it which I think is disappointing, takes something away from the overall sound.

Pretty much agree with you hustler...no one should compare it to the debut...it's probably more in the vein of recent COT but with a bit more of a bluesy feel.

You will love raiding the rock vault if you haven't seen it already. It's rated the number one show on TripAdvisor for a reason. I saw it last October and it rocked. Although Howard Leese came of as a total knob.

I know Jean was putting the final touches on the vocals to the Beauvoir/free album when I spoke to him in November so fingers crossed it's sooner than later...I think he was hoping to have to the label by feb. When it comes to style it's hard to say, but he did mention "debut".

Yes their first 2 albums are great IMHO. Their 3rd was so so and their last album was nothing short of average at best, so I think the magic was surely dying. Looking forward to glams new cd...it sounds impressive the song I've heard.
