I agree Aussie dave....a few more rocking tracks and it would be a great album...production is awesome though...maybe the keys are just a little too prominent for me overall, but all class nonetheless.

Saw the Dives on the KISS Kruise last year. Evan Stanley plays a lot like ace frehley on stage (knees together/legs apart), but the lead guitarist who also sings lead along with Evan is a great singer/musician....was pleasantly surprised they were actually pretty good for a young band.

The drum patterns on love injection and falling apart annoy the hell out of me....overall a good album, but the drumming sounds a bit too electronic in some songs.

I think gene Simmons was the exec producer on the HOL Sahara album, and I think I read that his role was in choosing the songs with a little direction regarding song structure.

This is a great album....certainly surprised me with the guitar tonne and Ted's vocals are probably his best since early DD for mine. Song wise it is a very strong, consistent album with a fantastic start to the CD. Well done guys....a sure winner and one I'll play regularly.

Would love to see Jean Beauvoir (crown of thorns) re-record the RAW THORNS album with kick ass production. And I think Voodoo X might have a live recording sitting around.

Put the 2 bonus tracks on the normal release and take 3 weakest ballads off and it's a decent album....but the deluxe version ? Meh!!

Saw Shark island on the MORC in October....they put on a great show and Richard black has lost nothing in his voice...with Michael guy also there they had a great live band...and ken Mary was unbelievable. Got to meet Richard and ken after the show and they are 2 of the most down to earth humble guys.

The album falls off a lot IMO. "Without you" is not great and after track 6 their isn't a full on rocker....too mid/ballad at the end...the start however kicks ass and I'm loving "Devils coming" track....overall not as strong as the previous album, and not near gonna hurt.

Before the Internet it was all about band image and song titles....that's how I brought xyz s/t, firehouse s/t, bonfire point blank etc....oh and a gripe of mine regarding song titles is when I see the same starting letter song after song etc... Heaven Here and now Hands of fate ;)
