I was listening to this yesterday along with all the B Sides from the singles ..... I hope some of them get the Precious treatment from CBTS II as they did a brilliant job or rerecording it.

I go along with the majority as "Out of the Silence" is one hell of an debut album. A&M influenced the sound of the day (Bon Jovi) for the Blood From Stonealbum, but I enjoy it immensely. Calm Before the Storm was instantly forgettable but Belief was a real cracker with lots of Marillion and Pink Floyd influences. Beneath the Shining Water was a good follow up to Belief. Then the r

I agree, it sounds like the natural follow-up to Out Of The Silence. I never cared for this when it was first released as it was too slow and just bubbled along without really going anywhere. The new CD is brilliant, clean, crisp and a little heavier than all its previous incarnations. I love the reworked Precious (B Side to the Abandon 12" and CD single), I really hope that they would

No mention of a new album "Seven" or the greatest hits that was muted many months ago. I will be buying though, the re-reorded version of "Calm Before The Storm" as I always thought it needed beefing up a little. Just a shame that Dare don't tour much in the Uk, the last being in a pub in Wales (White Lion Inn) in September and Richie Dews is playing there again on New Y

I was there too and out of the 5 bands on the day, Thunder stole the show with the best performance for an opening act to date. Aerosmith rocked including a great guest appearance by Jimmy Page. The Quireboys gave a true "Faces" like rock n roll performance and Poison were bitterly dissapointing. Whitesnake were supposed to be the headliners but fell miles short of all the other ban

I thought they were re-recording it to make it sound heavier ..... who better then to play on it than Vinny! So when will the new albums "Seven" and the "Greatest Hits" come out? Also what happened to the 25th anniversary of "Out of the Silence" that Darren Wahrton promised he was doing to counteract the Bad Reputation rip off one they were proposing? I love Dare

Just read this supposed interview with Darren Wharton in the North Wales Weekly News wher he says: - "I’ve got a new album with Dare, Calm Before the Storm, coming out in April or May. It is a great album and we have a ‘best of’ album coming out later in the year.” So is Calm Before The Storm being re-released ...... why? full interview here http://www.northwalesweeklynews.co.uk/

Has anybody heard anything from the Dare camp? Darren mentioned earlier this year an anniversay edition of "Out of the Silence" as well as a greatest hits CD, but it has all gone quiet again. So does anybody have any news?

It's not been out of my cd player since I got it a few months back ...... fantastic cd with some real catchy tunes, "Hail Hail", "Call Back", "Pure Mountain Angel" ....... A bit like the Eagles and Jayhawks with other twists and turns..... I’m hoping they will do some shows over in the UK.Terry K. wrote:

I was never a big fan of Dan Reed in the 90's but liked the odd single, my wife was a huge fan and persuaded me to go and see him and the band last night at Moho Live in Manchester. He absolutely blew me away, what a fabulous voice and the band were tight. I love his new album and I will also be dusting off my old DRN albums as I think I may have under estimated him in the past. I loved "Our of the Silence" and thought "Blood from Stone" was fantastic as well. The next few albums vary in qulaity with Belief and Beneath being the cream of the crop. I have listened to the samples for the new album and am quite excitied.

I think this sounds like Dare's strongest music for a long while, we will never get another Out Of The Silence or Blood From Stone, so we must be thankful that these guys are still recording and keep our fingers crossed for some of the old favourites being played live.

I thought Belief was an excellent album ..... but II hope Vinny does add some more rock into the line up and we get an album that is a mix of Out Of The Silence and Blood From Stone.
