Plods along a bit. Thought Magnum got this out of their system with the last album. Still looking forward to hearing the new one in full though.

Just been posted on the Firefest page over on Facebook that there will be no Firefest 2016 due to unforeseen circumstances. Hasn't come from Bruce or Kieran so who knows. Hope that Rockingham does something again!!!!

For the first two R.D release's check out the Rock Candy versions, as per usual they have done a sterling job with the remix.

Will be ordering the Japanese release of this. Anticipation is high so really hope it's not one of those albums that falls short.

I bought the first three Armored Saint albums back when they were first released. Sadly they never really clicked with me despite my perseverance. I even went off Anthrax when John Bush joined so it may be down to him. That said if I come across the Rock Candy releases I might still give em another shot but not going to go out of my way for them.

Personally I'm in the process of transferring to Jewel Sleeves. Not cheap and got caught by customs shipping into the UK but more than worth it. You can then store in a draw rather than on a shelf. Only problem of course is the empty cases, but have taken the plunge and ditched a few of them. http://www.jewelsleeve.com/cgi-bin/mivavm?/mm5/merchant.mvc+Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=jewelsleeve&

It was a shock to hear of the passing of David Bowie but hasn't he been battling the evil that is cancer for 18 months? He does look unwell in the Blackstar video and having lost close family to the disease it might be a blessed relief.

Slightly off topic here but did I read somewhere that Kenny was looking to get back into music with a project this year. Probably made up in my own mind ha ha.

The band that is and their new release End Game? Some cracking songs on this release but sadly let down by a below par production that feels a little thin for me. Production aside, yet another Scandi release that that delivers for me in a year that once has seen Scandinavia deliver up some scorching releases.

Hi, after a bit of info on the latest Frontiers releases and whether there has been a delay in releasing these? My local store doesn't even have these on order and Amazon and Base don't appear to have stock (Amazon estimate delivery from 6 January on wards!). Will probably order these but looking for quickest way to get them now.

OK HMV are not an independent, however it's the only local store I have and I do like to visit it regularly, plus nothing better than picking up a disc on the day of release. Even better though new releases are often cheaper than Amazon, with Frontiers releases usually coming in at £9.99. Not a lot of help to the independent shop but needs must.

As Shade said this isn't just an attack on France, but the free world and those who enjoy the benefits our modern society allows us. My thoughts go to all those affected by the barbaric and cowardly attacks in Paris.

Agree with pretty much all of your comments there Julio, although I would agree with others and say that DRN were band/performance of the weekend. I enjoyed both Santa Cruz and Dokken, the later had a very low bar to clear and just about got over it. An acceptable performance from Dokken but one that might indicate the end is near for the band. As for other aspects of the festival the ticketi

Loving this album. I'll be honest and say I wasn't too bothered about this, mainly due to Glen Hughes recent efforts, but sublime performances from both Glen and Dario Mollo. This will surely dip under the radar of some which is a shame, but it really is worth checking out, great to Hear Glen doing what he does best and Dario Mollo's guitar sound, wow.
