All of these groups are great...Whiteheart is probably my favorite though...their stretch of albums from Freedom to Highlands were amazing...but all of their stuff's good. Rex Carroll's stuff is always good...wish he'd do a new Rex Carroll band CD of rippin' classic bluesy rock stuff...a new Fierce Heart would be nice also...anything he's on is usually worth buying.

Love the first 2 Geffen albums but wasn't as impressed with the Metal Blade stuff...got the new CD the other day and it does sound like there back to form...haven't really got to play it much yet but I heard a lot of nice heavy riffs & groves, great vocal harmonies their known for and some nice punchy bass work first time around...looking forward to playing it a lot more.

Same here I really like the Hardline & Resurrection King CD's but this Revolution Saints CD let me down a little...it's better than the first CD but still sounds a little too much like Journey for my taste especially the ballads...Like the harder rocking tunes and as always Doug's guitar work is ripping...Still think the production could of been a little more beefy like the Phantom V CD.

I was really looking forward to this release but it didn't blow me away...Doug's guitar work is always strong and exceptional but the songs didn't grab me. Also like others mentioned the production could of been a little more powerful and punchy and a lot of the songs could be from any other Frontiers release that Del Vecchio worked on...they need to let these artist work with other producers. Like Sammy's solo stuff more...Roth's weren't bad but I think they were carried by the musicianship of guys like Vai and Sheehan with a wow factor musically that Sammy couldn't match but Sammy's had better songs. I like both eras of Van Halen but wished Ted Templeman produced the Hagar era stuff to and not the Van Halen boys as they surely would have had much better sound like the Roth albums

Nothing I'm dying for...probably pick up Licence To Kill because I grabbed In The Beginning on Rock Candy...but I already have the Jap versions. Will look for feedback on Fire Down Under and if it's good and says there's a huge improvement in it sonically I might grab that one to. But D'Molls come on who really needs that one.

Great CD...not a big fan of albums with multiple singers but this one works and is solid stuff with a lot of great performances and worth picking up for sure IMO.

Great CD...I'm liking this new one better than "Dig" which after revisiting last night is also a really good album with maybe one too many mellow tunes...Hard To Kill seems to have a little more of an edge to it and rocks a little harder for my taste.
