I love the entire album, though I find the last two tracks only good, not great. To me, the production is not the most important thing. Of course, the better the production, the better the listening experience. Yet imo, good songs can absolutely make up for a mediocre production.

I'd add German musician Fred Zahl. I wrote an e-mail to his agency because I had a question. He answered himself and offered me an autographed CD and some props from his last tour. (I didn't ask for anything like that.) Obviously, that is something only lesser known musicians can do.

The best “new“ band I know. The debut was outstanding and as far as I can see in YouTube videos, they nail it live.

Chalfant was singing with Journey for a very short time and even began to write new material with Schon & Co. However, he was dropped when Perry returned.

Kevin Chalfant for Survivor. Instead of him, Jimi got the job.

It's not about private life. Honestly, I don't care if someone sleeps with a WILLING 15 year old. BUT I won't support rapists, murderers or other violent criminals by buying their album. If that's ok for others, buy it! The least thing I want to do is forcing someone to agree with me. What I can't tolerate is your insults. Maybe there are really some dumb people on this board... no idea, I don

I feel guilty indeed. I don't listen to such artists usually. Though I have the Revolution Saints CD as I didn't know of Deen's crimes. Now that I know, the album has a bitter taste to it.

In my opinion, the song is pretty boring. The band can do better than that.

Me too. Someone on this board said not so long ago that Peterik, Bickler, Ellis and Droubay should do a new album together. How great would that be! Won't happen though, I'm afraid :-(

He has sued Jimi Jamison in the 90's for continuing to tour under the name Survivor, and also Jim Peterik (in the 2000s I think) for the same reason as now Dave Bickler. What Frankie did/does to this great band is a crime.

Their 80's albums are classics, all the others have some great songs imo... especially Dream On from the debut.

They also plan to release the other songs recorded for this album (Tomorrow, Fast And The Furious, Burning Love) this or next year.

Santa Ana Winds would have been a choice for me too, as well as Runway Lights. I'm going to see Bickler here in Germany in November with Bonfire & Friends. I'm counting the days!

Here's Dave Bickler presenting his top 10 Survivor songs (both his and Jimi's era). Includes some interesting facts and shows us the whole back and forth the band went through from Bickler's perspective. At the end, he also talks a little bit about his solo project that will come our way soon. https://podsodcast.com/

Songs like Summer Nights, Runway Lights, Heart's a Lonely Hunter, Take You on a Saturday, Chevy Nights,... make Premonition a timeless classic (timeless at least for us melodic rock fans).

I agree with most of the bands, but I was never able to decide whether White Lion's debut or Pride is better. Pride has the more radio-friendly songs such as When the Children Cry (which is a song that nearly makes me cry everytime I hear it) and Wait. Tell Me is one of my favourite songs of all time. Fight to Survive is more of a classic hard rock album. The title track is very strong, and a

I already posted their first single which sounded very promising to me. In And Out Of Love I didn't really like the second single, but decide yourself: Gone Too Far Now here is the third one. Not a very resourceful title, but a catching song - the best of the three singles IMO. Never Surrender I'll definitely check this one out.

Of course you are right. No music genre will die out completely. I meant good pop that gets presented to the masses.
