Undiscovered Soul has a handful of great songs- particularly the epic Who I Am and the title track, quite liked Harlem Rain too, but too much lightweight inconsequential stuff that will indicate the slip in Bon Jovi can't be squarely laid at Jon's door. Destination also has some great songs which showed Jon at least trying to tread new ground- I think I read he was going on songwriting courses

That's only a part of it though - Richie is a great singer but not a frontman. Likeable enough but couldn't lead a stadium band. Sitt is a belter of an album. BoG has high points in Santa Fe but too much filler stuff

Agree on the Tea Party, got lots of attention early on, but then their albums were only available from Canada or Australia. Mine: Frankie Miller, Scott Morgan, Parlour Mob, Cry Of Love

Think theres a new market in the last 5 years - used to be budget priced CD compilations but now I think the focus is the vinyl collectors - double vinyl, 35 quid a throw..

Queen - think I slept through the meeting where it was decided they are the pinnacle of music since 1970. Some great songs, but the music hall stuff is unlistenable

All depends on what they're hoping to get out of it - it's not like $110 is the only option. I doubt they're expecting more than a handful of VIPs

I enjoyed Preist, but The Scorpions were really good, but with an hour they can cherry pick their best which stops the set getting bogged down.

Great band - saw them in their more 'doom' incarnation when they had Gaz from Cathedral on guitar and supported Paradise Lost. Liked their last 2 with Nicke Anderson and the guitarist from Dead Lord - more of a 70s rock vibe

Just looked at the Arena page and Twitter, seems like some upcoming gigs there have only just been cancelled/postponed. I think a lot of these gigs will be re-arranged but logistic issues make it difficult given touring/festival schedules can be organised 18months in advance. Vendors want there to be a replacement gig for people to hold onto their tickets instead of hemorrhaging money due to a ca

I remember reading an interview with Less Than Jake when they were on tour with Bon Jovi - they got the gig as the slot was being turned down by other bands - they though BJ were washed up, but Its My Life was big hit single and they were a big draw again. Everyone who'd declined tried to get the slot back.

I think they're under rated- I know that sounds odd but a lot of their work is dismissed when they've written some great songs since Steel Wheels, many other bands would kill for, just they suffer for not being Exile or Beggars Banquet quality. Their problem is, like many others, padding out albums to fill a cd when a better 45 min LP is in there.

I think what's going to kill Bloodstock is the cancellations of mainland festivals with which they share bands, but until theres definitive guidance that ties up with cancellation clauses in their insurance etc they have no obligation to cancel, particularly if it obliterates their business

All of it - when they played last year they opened with a new one (fine) then played the dreary I Am I second, draining the life out of the set. You couldn't help thinking the big choruses of Needle Lies, Revolution Calling etc. Wiuld have suited an outdoor festival better..
