Wow, that's awesome, I didn't know that! Thanks ... something to look forward to!

Pinnacle Point was one of my favorite "finds" of last year. Terry, do you know if there is a new album in the works or just speculating?

Agreed. Amazing moving ... well done ... and very deserving of 4 Oscars - the big winner of the night!

Sounds awesome. I wonder if they're going to include bonus tracks, outtakes, etc., or just the albums themselves. The price is certainly reasonable for 16 disks.

I have to admit that I'm in the same boat. A good friend of mine once told me, "If you like Queen, you'll love Muse." So, I got a couple of their albums and tried really hard to like them. I guess I just missed the point, but I never saw the analogy to Queen and couldn't get into the music. But that's the beauty of any art form - what works for one person doesn't have to work for ev

You frequently use these forums to rant about religion and get off topic for why we're here - to discuss music. I thought this was an interesting article that would have generated conversation about music instead of faith. At any rate, I feel sorry for you and will pray for the salvation of your soul. I never give up hope.

I see the Angel tickets but no mention of Starz as opening act yet. Maybe they're waiting until Michael is back to 100% to set those dates?

Okay, just finished listening to it (so glad to have Amazon Music where I can download immediately!). I love this CD ... great from start to finish, with enough acoustic parts to break it up so it's not all the same. The vocals are also terrific. Thanks again for the tip!!!!

Well, yes, they are, but when Dimino and Meadows did the shows together last October, they only played in the UK. I'm hoping for a broader US tour this year with Starz.

Thanks for the tip, Terry. You and I usually like a lot of the same stuff, so I'll give it a listen! Slamer's work is consistently good but I just missed this one, somehow.

Thanks for sharing the link, Carl. This is great news indeed - hoping they come over to the U.S. and just wish I could have seen them last fall in the UK!

I'm curious where you saw the news about both bands making new albums and touring ... somehow, I must have totally missed that. That would be SO awesome ... I'll never forget seeing the Godz, Starz, and Angel as a triple-bill back in 1976 - still one of the best shows I've ever seen. I know that Starz had an album in the works a couple years ago but shelved it due to Michael's health but had no

Nice track - great guitar work and fairly typical of Brian's solo material. So good to have him doing something solo again after all these years. He was on TV last night - they interviewed him about the New Horizons space project ... so amazing to see this legendary guitarist who went back to school to get his doctorate and is as much of an astronomer as a musician.

Well said, Carl ... I kind of had that "Gentle Giant" or "Renaissance" feeling - talented musicians but not easy to get into the songs. Even though Morse's music isn't necessarily catchy, it does tend to get into your head right away - Sea Within did not.

Let me clarify my reaction ... I wasn't turned on by the songs themselves, but I thought the musicianship and quality of the recordings were very good. It's not Neal Morse by a longshot but does have that proggy vibe you tend to like. I listened to the bonus tracks and definitely understand why they didn't make it to the main album!

I listened to "The Sea Within" CD last night out of curiosity. Excellent prog stuff and surprised no one has ever discussed it here (unless I missed it). Terry, that album seems right up your alley. Very promising for Kansas too.

As this ridiculous debate continues with a couple individuals who just enjoy being negative ... I bought three incredible tickets for the August show and am already pumped to see Queen for the 8th time ... and, yes, I saw the original Queen 3x, the Brian May Band, Queen + Paul Rogers, and Queen + Adam Lambert. I don't care what you call it ... Brian has been my favorite guitarist for for 45 year

I love this album. It's interesting because his voice sounds like Walsh on other albums he's done, but on this one, it has a Billy Greer vibe - I keep hearing Seventh Key overtones throughout Great effort on this one - I continue listening to it over and over!

I went to see it last night and enjoyed it too. I'm a lifelong fan and bought the first album as a teen. Sure, the movie has many inaccuracies, but how do you tell a 48-year story in 2 hours?! You cut a lot and move things around ... this is not a documentary but a movie for entertainment that uses the basic storyline of the band. People really need to lighten up and take this movie for what

So glad to hear that! Excellent point about this not being a documentary - it's a movie for fun and I'm psyched to see it! I also remember buying that first album and riding home with it on my bicycle to put it on the turntable. Awesome!

People who have seen the early screenings say it's a great movie cinematically. If the details aren't exactly what happened, who cares - have never seen a movie based on a "real story" that was "real" anyway. What I'm surprised no one is talking about here is the soundtrack. Has anyone else listened to the re-recorded Smile reunion of "Doin' Alright"? They totall

Have listened to it several times ... probably one of the slowest albums I've heard in a long time. Almost every song is something you hear in the background while picking up a prescription in a pharmacy. His voice sounds good, but the album just drones on. I'm done with it.

Thanks for the reminder of this album. I pulled mine out again today after reading this thread and spun it again. Incredible stuff ... fairly stripped back but so good. I had forgotten Chris Slade played drums on this CD - he's awesome too!

Actually, he did ... "The Mission" was a brand new Styx album, mostly written by Shaw, just a year ago. This new "Sing for the Day" album is incredible, from beginning to end - he really outdid himself on this one. He hasn't lost any of that voice tone and range in all these years. Bravo!!!
