Greg,if you like the bands you mentioned(which I would not consider heavy guitar artists), I think you would like the Tait era Newsboys stuff, even though they mostly don't have heavy guitar sound. I would pull up some of their best stuff on you tube and see what you like. Some of my favorite songs are Crazy, That's How You Change The World, Born Again,Love Riot,Restart, Miracles,Guilty, God's No

Is this a "reunion" of the guitarist Rex Carroll band, or another group with the same name?

Got both the Tait band cd's coming to me. I really like the current Newsboys stuff overall, but would also agree that I would like to hear some more heavy guitar sound.

Is anyone else on the board familiar with these guys? I have recently heard their stuff with Michael Tait on vocals, and some of it is really good. More of a pop/techno/lighter melodic rock sound then with the previous singers, in my opinion. Michael is a great singer and front man.

My early opinion is average, nothing great. Saw them Sunday with 10 Years playing before them. 10 Years has a new cd as well, which in my opinion is much better than the new Red cd.

A short intro, but a great one! Not Fragile by Bachman Turner Overdrive. At the time, I used this song to determine how much bass the speakers could take!

That's Bill Syniar on bass. I'm not sure if that is Mickey Curry on drums or not. Both were on the Too Hot To Sleep album.

Wow! Just bought cd and listened to on Amazon. One of the best of 2017 for sure. After hearing this, I am GLAD he left Amaranthe. Don't let the really ugly cover stop you from getting.

Yes, saw her with Neil and band last year, great show, most of the hits included, along with a few surprises. Last year it was a cover of Prince's When Doves Cry, after his passing. Pat,Neil, and band were awesome. I have heard that recent shows this year have had a shorter than normal set list, so I am wondering if she has some current vocal issues. New song is really good.

Anybody else have any bands that fall into this category for you? I'm not talking about bands you hate, but bands that for some reason, just don't do anything "special" for you, compared to what most others think. For myself, somehow it is strangely Harem Scarem. Have some of their cd's and certainly don't dislike, but don't take to them like many others.

great band! I'm surprised they are playing in what looks to be a fairly small venue?

Will have to check out the Hooters Live. I have the Outlaws live, and it is really good. Has two great Henry Paul Band songs plus the Outlaws material.

To clarify, to the best of my knowledge, the band has always used a lot of "playback" live, to try to match the multi track vocals and keyboard/symphonic effects on the album. They do not use a live keyboard player, and I don't think any of the other band members sing any backup vocals. My impression was that Dianne was ill, and was pressured to keep doing shows she felt she felt she co

I am very sorry to hear this. I saw the band recently on their USA tour, and they were awesome. Dianne is a fantastic singer, and on their last cd, "Theatre Of Dimensions" contributed quite a bit of songwriting, to what I feel is their best cd, that I highly recommend. She will be missed greatly in both the vocal and songwriting area She was supposed to bring stability to the ever chang

Is anyone else familiar with or have heard this band? Picked up their latest cd, Amber Galactic, and really liked on first listen. From what I read, a couple of members are in some somewhat popular metal bands I am not familiar with, but this project has them performing songs with a late 70's/80's vibe, that sound a lot like some of the favs from that era. Worth a listen if you haven't heard, the

Sorry, to hear this. Tim has been in and out of the band multiple times over the years, but always made it back, as the replacements never seemed to fit, as mentioned in Michael Sweet's book. Maybe it will happen again.

Here's a great story that is 100% true. I was a a huge Survivor fan, and being in Chicago, knew Jim Peterik. So it is September 1983, and I am looking forward to the Survivor Caught In The Game lp coming out.Remember, this was long before the internet, so you didn't hear much in the way of sound bytes before the album was actually released. I was also looking forward to hearing the Eddie and The
