Yes, saw her with Neil and band last year, great show, most of the hits included, along with a few surprises. Last year it was a cover of Prince's When Doves Cry, after his passing. Pat,Neil, and band were awesome. I have heard that recent shows this year have had a shorter than normal set list, so I am wondering if she has some current vocal issues. New song is really good.

Anybody else have any bands that fall into this category for you? I'm not talking about bands you hate, but bands that for some reason, just don't do anything "special" for you, compared to what most others think. For myself, somehow it is strangely Harem Scarem. Have some of their cd's and certainly don't dislike, but don't take to them like many others.

Certainly different than his earlier works, but as I have expanded my interests recently into some pop stuff,I like it.

Will have to check out the Hooters Live. I have the Outlaws live, and it is really good. Has two great Henry Paul Band songs plus the Outlaws material.

To clarify, to the best of my knowledge, the band has always used a lot of "playback" live, to try to match the multi track vocals and keyboard/symphonic effects on the album. They do not use a live keyboard player, and I don't think any of the other band members sing any backup vocals. My impression was that Dianne was ill, and was pressured to keep doing shows she felt she felt she co

I am very sorry to hear this. I saw the band recently on their USA tour, and they were awesome. Dianne is a fantastic singer, and on their last cd, "Theatre Of Dimensions" contributed quite a bit of songwriting, to what I feel is their best cd, that I highly recommend. She will be missed greatly in both the vocal and songwriting area She was supposed to bring stability to the ever chang

Is anyone else familiar with or have heard this band? Picked up their latest cd, Amber Galactic, and really liked on first listen. From what I read, a couple of members are in some somewhat popular metal bands I am not familiar with, but this project has them performing songs with a late 70's/80's vibe, that sound a lot like some of the favs from that era. Worth a listen if you haven't heard, the

Sorry, to hear this. Tim has been in and out of the band multiple times over the years, but always made it back, as the replacements never seemed to fit, as mentioned in Michael Sweet's book. Maybe it will happen again.

Here's a great story that is 100% true. I was a a huge Survivor fan, and being in Chicago, knew Jim Peterik. So it is September 1983, and I am looking forward to the Survivor Caught In The Game lp coming out.Remember, this was long before the internet, so you didn't hear much in the way of sound bytes before the album was actually released. I was also looking forward to hearing the Eddie and The

Wow! MMF, that sums up my thoughts exactly, could not have said better in a million years.Lately I've tried to pick up on a few newer/younger bands as I am trying to find some I enjoy to "keep the fire burning and keep rockin", should I somehow outlive some of my favorite rock bands/members who have passed away or retired.I think this process has been pushed by seeing a lot of my favor

This reminds me of my biggest freak encounter with a musician, that fortunately had a much better outcome. I was in London visiting the Tower of London, either just before or after going to the 2000? Gods Festival, which featured Two Fires plus and Ten. I was standing across the walkway looking towards one of those famous London red phone booths when someone in my party said "that looks like

First, let me say that I am a huge Ten fan, starting almost from their beginning. For my tastes, their total output and best albums are as good as anyone playing this style of music. That being said, I have to agree with Al. Had high expectations listening to Travelers, a great song, and a few others, but disappointed with most of the rest. In my opinion, the overall song quality does not measure

Can anyone tell me how I somehow could have missed out on knowing about Skillet for all these years? I always followed the Melodic Rock scene on this board, and have always liked the good "Christian" rock bands when I heard them. I know Skillet might not be classified as "Melodic rock", but you would think somehow I would have heard about them prior to the past few months. It
