I'm assuming you are referring to the great extended outtro/solo at the end. As a BIG Skillet fan, I would tend to agree that I would not mind seeing a few more solos/jams here and there. That being said, they are really a song structure/riff band, not one that has a lot a leads/jams.In my opinion, their songs are second to none for this type music. They do do some extended intros/outros live, wh

I could be wrong, but from my memories Punky has always looked like that.

I'll have to think a little more on this one, but Dukes Of The Orient is on my list for sure as well.

I bought this without knowing anything about this artist or their music, based on earlier postings a while back on this board. This is not my typical music like, but I thought it was a great cd, and took me to a place out of my usual listening comfort zone. GReat vocals and incredibly good production without being overloaded with sounds or effects.Sounds like the music is being performed in the

I don't know how many out there remember this, but Dave Mason was in Fleetwood Mac singing and playing guitar for 2 years, and was on the Time album from 1995.I saw them live on this tour and it was pretty good, but different. No Stevie Nicks, no Lindsay, no Christine live, though she was on the album. Becka Bramlett on vocals along with Billy Burnette on guitar and vocals, and a side keyboard pla

I personally would have no interest in seeing them without Lindsey, assuming it is the regularly high priced tickets.

Yes, I'll see you in my dreams by Giant was another great underated song. Love it. Like the XYZ I think it was a minor hit, but as you mentioned,it should have been a monster!

For my tastes, it is XYZ/What Keeps Me Loving You. Fantastic song. I think it was kind of a hit, but not a huge one? Am I correct?

Saw the band live last night in Joliet, Il at the Forge. I am not a huge fan of their album, BUT, as I did not have to work today, and have a great deal of respect for each of the band members abilities, I decided I could not pass up seeing them in a small venue. As they only have 1 cd out,and it was a relatively small gig, and the last night of the tour leg, I was expecting a show of about an hou

Great song! A must buy for me. Does anyone remember the name of the other band name I believe John Payne was in other than Asia, that put out 1 cd? I think they had a Japanese keyboard player?

Greg,if you like the bands you mentioned(which I would not consider heavy guitar artists), I think you would like the Tait era Newsboys stuff, even though they mostly don't have heavy guitar sound. I would pull up some of their best stuff on you tube and see what you like. Some of my favorite songs are Crazy, That's How You Change The World, Born Again,Love Riot,Restart, Miracles,Guilty, God's No

Is this a "reunion" of the guitarist Rex Carroll band, or another group with the same name?

Got both the Tait band cd's coming to me. I really like the current Newsboys stuff overall, but would also agree that I would like to hear some more heavy guitar sound.

Is anyone else on the board familiar with these guys? I have recently heard their stuff with Michael Tait on vocals, and some of it is really good. More of a pop/techno/lighter melodic rock sound then with the previous singers, in my opinion. Michael is a great singer and front man.

My early opinion is average, nothing great. Saw them Sunday with 10 Years playing before them. 10 Years has a new cd as well, which in my opinion is much better than the new Red cd.

A short intro, but a great one! Not Fragile by Bachman Turner Overdrive. At the time, I used this song to determine how much bass the speakers could take!

That's Bill Syniar on bass. I'm not sure if that is Mickey Curry on drums or not. Both were on the Too Hot To Sleep album.

Wow! Just bought cd and listened to on Amazon. One of the best of 2017 for sure. After hearing this, I am GLAD he left Amaranthe. Don't let the really ugly cover stop you from getting.

Yes, saw her with Neil and band last year, great show, most of the hits included, along with a few surprises. Last year it was a cover of Prince's When Doves Cry, after his passing. Pat,Neil, and band were awesome. I have heard that recent shows this year have had a shorter than normal set list, so I am wondering if she has some current vocal issues. New song is really good.

Anybody else have any bands that fall into this category for you? I'm not talking about bands you hate, but bands that for some reason, just don't do anything "special" for you, compared to what most others think. For myself, somehow it is strangely Harem Scarem. Have some of their cd's and certainly don't dislike, but don't take to them like many others.
