Love Ignition, probably still my fav John Waite album and I'm sure I own most of them. This might have been shared here before but this cool video from Tim Pierce talking about 'Change' the hit from the album and how they put the guitars together etc. https://youtu.be/pVPbWwqMpto

Pretty sure these versions of the Ratt songs were used in the Mickey Roarke film The Wrestler? Mickey Ratt/Ratt/Rat Attack Probably saved the film company a few quid to license them rather than Ratt originals.

Nice to see a mention for Curse Of Lono. Good band. Like many here it seems my last night out was Night Flight Orchestra / One Desire in Islington.

Haha, I remember that one. Jon shouted "Does anybody know any Tom Petty" while he strummed an acoustic guitar. They sounded briefly immense before the power outage and the sound never quite recovered from my vantage point.

The Richard Marx UK shows are the latest victim of the coronavirus. There might be a few board regulars who've not seen this news this morning and have tickets. Press release: Tour includes April 2 & 3 at Union Chapel, London and April 4 at The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh. Unfortunately, with the current global health crisis and unpredictable travel conditions around the world,

I would imagine it'd be pretty nice for the pension fund to manage/promote Ed Sheeran... I don't get the music side of it but one bloke selling out football stadiums must be pretty lucrative.

I totally agree with the comments here about country acts. I was getting disillusioned with some of the rock I'd always loved and about ten years ago started to get along to country shows. Keith Urban, Martina McBride (now that's a singer), Sugarland etc and was totally blown away by the quality. The players are all amazing and the singers can really sing so I've rarely looked back to be hones

I was lucky enough to catch Sam Morrow and his band in Balham last night. Any fans on the board? Very cool country rock with southern influences. Plenty of fiery guitar work on show. One for fans of The Band, Little Feat (they go all southern funk every so often), Allman Brothers etc. They even threw in a cover of 'Sharp Dressed Man' A quick chat at the merch table and they're nice guys. I was lucky enough to catch him at the Scala in Kings Cross back in the day. Easily one of the best gigs I've ever seen and I've seen plenty in nearly 40 years of live shows.

The bonus disc from Box of Fire was also issued in Japan as a bonus disc with the 'Nine Lives' album if anyone is just looking for that disc and doesn't want/require the big box. Or you're a massive Aerosmith fan looking for another collectable that won't cost a fortune.

Usually, when someone is massive you can sorta figure out why...but Michael Buble is a total mystery to me. The gurning, the dance moves (cough) the voice especially is frankly woeful. We've all seen cabaret singer do a better job on Sinatra tunes. Shockingly awful on every level.

More than enough excellent recommendations to keep the RNRPreacher busy and probably very poor financially if richer musically but I can't resist throwing in a few more. Wilson Bros - Another Night (top session players including Steve Lukather who handles the solos). Wilson Bros - Another Night China - S.T. (not to be confused with the band from Switzerland) China - Days And Nights

Never warmed to Twisted on record with the exception of the Ruff Cutts EP, but I was lucky enough to be at the Marquee when they first came over and they were a force of nature. Just incredible. The documentary about the early days of the band is on Netflix for anyone who's not seen it. Definitely worth a look.

Zac Brown Band / Beth Hart - BluesFest 02 Darlingside (fantastic folk harmonies) Shepherd's Bush Empire Aaron Lee Tasjan - Omeara The Sheepdogs - Borderline and last night J.P. Harris - Omeara Next up probably Benjamin Folke Thomas. Loads in the pipeline for December but most of my g

Fantastic show last night at The Borderline by The Sheepdogs. A new name to me until very recently but I'm assuming Canadian regulars to this board will know them. 70's Classic Rock / Country rock with very cool Allman Brothers style harmony guitars. At one point last night we had three guitarists taking a solo (Molly Hatchet are you listening?) A couple of links: Two Singles off the la
