Outside the first two albums, Diver Down is the next best album, in fact the only one I can listen to without skipping a track. I could never understand the hate for it.....The production is awesome!

Nah,i was a big Roth fan at the time and couldn't get my head over Hagar singing for VH. Don't get me wrong though....it was only this album (Love Sammy Hagar),but compared to Balance and FUCK its bollocks! BTW....Production is shit too...I blame Mick Jones.

Apart from the ticket to ride travesty,I always thought "Fashion by passion" pissed all over the debut. The best AOR album this side of Angel's "Sinful"!!

Yep, the whole Manson episode supposedly put the fear of god into Dennis for the rest of his life,so much so that many of his friends blame this fear for his legendary capacity for drinking.....I don't believe he ever answered a question about Manson for the rest of his life! I'll have to get a look at that podcast...thanks for the headsup!

You're quite right about Chris Childs,Terry.....A great bassist, who I have had the pleasure of seeing a number of times. I just have always had a soft spot for Mr Luckhurst on those first two albums. He was always so tasty and always picked the right notes....a real mix of Neil Murray and Andy Fraser.

Agreed, Laughing on judgement day would be my favourite...a very long album that's not long enough,if you know what I mean! I always thought they lost a hell of a lot of their groove and swagger with the departure of Snake...He was a hell of a bass player and added so much to their sound.

I bought this re-issue the day it came out,as the original vinyl was going for a kings ransom everywhere I looked. It would absolutely be in my top 3 albums of all time with its ethereal beauty, fantastic melodies and an underlying air of sadness that I have never come close to hearing anywhere else. Highlights?....The whole damm record, but at a push:Rainbows,End of the show,River song,Time and

He's a man who,i believe, guards his privacy and legacy very highly.....and why not,i think he's earned that right. BUT!.....it comes down to the fact that because he is an entertainer who has been in retirement for the guts of 20 years now and has realised that what made him great has long since vanished into the ether! In my opinion,he made a classy and personal decision not to sing at the sho

For what Steve Perry has given to this genre of music (i.e being the template for AOR vocalists)....im frankly pissing myself with the abject and utter stupidity of certain arseholes on this site for deriding him for not singing at last nights awards, and worse, being offended!! He obviously has not got the chops he once had...anybody with a titter of wit would know that He owes nobody the shit

If you don't like the price......don't buy it...simple as that! Bands simply don't much money from recordings anymore,so in a sense its the law of the jungle with market forces leading from the front. As an aside, thinking back to my first ever concert (Thin Lizzy, thunder and lightning tour,1983) I bought the album for 5.99 and got my concert ticket for 5.50....my,how things have changed!! A go
