Crack a smile is a dreadful album...no real redeeming features on it at all, imho. Native Tongue,on the other hand is a far better record than most people give it credit for....great songwriting and classy guitar playing abound. I seen them live on this tour in Belfast and Kotzen was on fire in the live set up.....it makes you wonder what the next album would have been like if he hadn't fucked t

I remember pissing myself laughing at bands Japanese bands like Vow Vow,Earthshaker and Loudness singing in english as a second language. Vow Wow ,in particular, were very tittersome...their "Nightless City"sounded like goodnight aunt sally!..and their "Hurricane" sounded like here come Henry Kane!!

Canterbury is an amazing album....its always been my favourite by them. Diamond Head failed because they had absolutely no business acumen.

Coverdale sounds nothing like Plant...he was far better when both were in their prime. It's as daft as people who years ago said that Tytan/Lion/Bad moon rising frontman Kal Swann was a Coverdale clone when,in fact,he sounded absolutely nothing like him!!

I can think of a couple of Rodgers vocals that I believe contributed to his reputation as a great singer. 1. Love you so...Free 2. Seagull..Bad Company. Nothing else really changed my mind of him being more than a plus average journeyman. I saw the DVD of the Free live set he did a couple of years ago,and it was excellent. Whereas,I paid 60 quid to see him plus Queen in Belfast in 2005 and h

I bought the Radioactive single and then the album when it came out....and was impressed by very little. Then again,I've never been one of those who fall at the altar of Paul Rodgers...I've always seen him as a serviceable vocalist possessing little in the way of proper talent. Hughes and Coverdale,in his prime, were so much better.

Pull is an amazing album with amazing songs and production...its definitely got the best recorded acoustic guitars I've ever heard. The first two are good records but still have a cliched cock rock vibe along with Beau Hill's dated production. I like iv more than the first two,but it doesn't hold a candle to Pull. Along with the Corabi fronted Crue album and Badlands Voodoo Highway it's the be

Angel...Live without a net. This album started my love of Angel...every song far better than the studio equivalent and it still gets played very often at home Black Sabbath...Heaven and Hell...bought when I was 12,it started my love affair with classic heavy metal. Thin Lizzy...Live and dangerous...I'm from Belfast so I'd probably get lynched if I didn't mention this. My older brother bought

Its Blackers, Jim,but not as we know him!!! I've got a split CD of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy and it always goes down well at parties. Nimoys version of Pete Seegers "if I had a hammer" is fantastic..has to be heard to be believed!......I'd love to hear Peter Sutcliffe have a stab at it!

I always thought "The Actor" was a great dynamic track which really showed off Deverills voice....and a wee bit of a pointer towards his upcoming career on the boards. But you're quite right,Purser wasnt a patch on Sykes.....but,then again, so very few were!

I could never stand them with Jess Cox as he was a dreadful singer. With Jon Deverill,on the other hand, they were fantastic....crazy nights spellbound and and the cage are the best. The stuff from the last 15 or so years has been relatively good...I'm glad they're still going strong!
