Good cover, I liked it. I developed a newfound appreciation for Jorn after seeing him perform live with Avantasia. Great singer!

I went to see Bless the Fall, Asking Alexandria, and Black Veil Brides last night at the Forge in Joliet. Not my cup of tea but took my 17 year old daughter as BVB is her favorite band along with Eclipse. Curious what everyone thinks of these bands, Black Veil Brides in particular. I really enjoyed their set, it was very high energy and some of their songs were great live. Reading about them

I was going to mention Dream Theater.... I am a huge fan and pretty much their entire catalog fits this thread. I listen to Train of Thought at least weekly and each song is long, however, there are only 7 songs on the album.

I was at this show and it was truly awesome to see a living legend like Billy Sheehan. All five guys are tremendously talented and Sons of Apollo is a great vehicle for them to display their talents in a progressive format. Not for everyone, for sure, but truly incredible live! All five guys are superstars!

Jeff, you don't need to apologize or anything... You're known for your diversity, it's one of the things we find most endearing about your catalog. There is an incredible amount of variety and you can easily slip from one style to another. Besides, how could anyone fault you for doing something like SOA, that lineup is stacked, having the ability to record an album with a legend like Billy Shee

I've listened to it 4-5 times more and I like everything after around 2:40...after Time on Our Side and this song...I am not a fan of all the techno crap. Still disappointed because of that, but willing to give the rest of the album a chance as others have commented that is is better and "harder" like previous albums.

You absolutely understand my point of view, thank you. I really don't want to dislike, I absolutely love H.E.A.T. and listen to them everyday.

I really dislike this song...absolutely no rock. I was expecting something big with this album. This is one of the biggest disappointments of the last several years for me. I am holding out hope that the songs you mention, which I haven't heard yet, have some bite.

H.E.A.T. - Redefined So disappointing..... I expect bands to evolve but this new album and this song has no hard rock sensibilities about it. Weak!

I saw Roy and his current band The Fifth, play at Rock n Skull/MRF 2016 in Joliet. I love Cold Sweat and didn't even realize Roy was in the Fifth until they started playing Cold Sweat songs at the festival. Awesome guy, very talented. The Cold Sweat album is very good and I spin it every few weeks, one of my favorites. Here's a link to The Fifth life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfI-

I am not familiar with his entire catalog, just the last few years, and I am not a huge fan. My impression, from reading about him, is that his older stuff was much better and the newer stuff is boring and not that exciting....I find him average and I really don't like any of the stuff he has put out recently. The videos certainly don't help....

I bought the most recent album to give it a chance. The band itself, meaning the musicians, are stellar! The songs are really good. However, the 3 girls are an acquired taste and some songs, they do really well but when they start doing the childish J-pop, it gets silly. They are new and unique so they warrant the attention. I think these girls will develop into big stars as they mature. Ju

I went ahead and bought the album and I must say, very pleasantly surprised. I think Gimme Chocolate is not the best sample of their music. There is a bunch of j-Pop crap singing but that band is absolutely on FIRE! I love Dragonforce and much of their music is similar in vein and energy. I have spent more money on worse crap, not sure this will get a ton of re-play, but if these girls can gr

The first Rock Never Stops Tour when it came to Chicago. Slaughter and Firehouse were fantastic, Quiet Riot were ridiculously great! Third band up, just before QR was Warrant. First and only time I saw them, this was probably @ 1997 or 1998, and Jani was completely wasted. I don't fault the rest of the band as they stood there looking at the ceiling while Jani acted the drunken fool. He star
