Fantastic album! I'm an absolute sucker for this type of stuff and basically, this is the album I keep wishing Def Leppard would make these days. Just a fun album. Those first 4 tracks are the best 4 songs I've heard start an album in a long time. And I also appreciate how they expanded their boundaries a bit in the second half by trying some new stuff. Their bread and butter are those u

What a terrible idea this is. I dont like that tune at all "reimagined". Love that album but zero interest here. I'll keep listening to the original.

I don't even know why I bother clicking on it. Just wow....Can't believe how far down the drain Bon Jovi has went. I seriously think somebody could pay me $100 and I wouldn't go sit through a concert of theirs now. It wouldn't be worth sitting through these tunes to even hear the classic tunes. He really should be just a solo act now and stop ruining the Bon Jovi legacy.

Saw this....I guess to me this seems kinda pointless. Album was fantastic as it was and at least to me, seems like very little chance this will be better than the original. It might be more interesting if they at least added some bonus tracks of maybe some older songs that never made the cut. Or maybe some tunes off their second album with Oni doing vocals. Think this will be an easy pa

I guess my point was that it's next to impossible not to know their stuff with Perry....huge hits all over the place that were all over radio. Guess I don't recall hearing them much on radio anymore with new hit songs after Perry left. Actually, Journey was a band I never owned a CD or cassette from but know lots of their music. So wasn't ever really a fan per se. But all of that music is

Well...Admittedly I'm not a big Journey fan and haven't followed them much at all since Perry left, but I can't name anything off the top of my head they recorded after Perry that I've dug. Actually, without looking up anything I can't even name a single song....other than some of Perry's solo tunes. Maybe I'm just lame lol....But just the way it's been for me. Carl1 Wrote: -----------

Steve Perry leaving Journey. I don't care what anybody says and much to Neil's dismay, but Steve and that voice was Journey. They did virtually nothing worth mentioning without him. Warrant without Jani. Granted, Warrant didn't have a choice here but again, Jani was Warrant. They still do okay with Mason but it's definitely nowhere near the same and I find myself not being able to forget a

My two to come to mind are Van Halen and H.E.A.T. I really didn't care for DLR but loved what Sammy brought to them. And Erik Gronwall easily took H.E.A.T to a whole new level for me.

Yeah, it is a pipe dream! Amazing that a band has been so anxious to get away from what made them so successful in the first place. I guess on the bright side at least they haven't went full Bon Jovi with adult contemporary country music. At least they've shown they're capable of a good new tune now and then. I've liked a few tunes on each of their past few releases. But they jump around

Yeah, sounds like he's always just a phone call away. As I said in the Tokyo Motor Fist thread, really wish Leppard would let Steve help them with some new music kinda like Phil did with Tesla. I feel like he could help them focus and bring some fresh ideas.

It's just amazing to me where this band was in the late 80's/early 90's and what they've turned into today. As much as I liked them back them is about as much as I dislike what they're doing now.

I think this is exactly it. I think they're more than capable of doing those 80's inspired types of songs. I mean, we've seen it in spots. I think it's more that they're too into trying to be varied and be everything to everybody. And you're probably right, they just know they will never top what they did previously so they just go all over the board and do terrible songs like Sea of Love a

Something is really wonky with Austrailian postal office if you ask me. I know A CD was shipped to me over a month ago and I still don't have it. I know people will blame COVID and maybe that's it. But I've always struggled getting anything timely from Australia even before COVID. doggy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 2 to 3 months wait, for local w

Also have been listening and digging it quite a bit. The first 4 songs are just awesome....Exactly what I want from these guys. Harmonies galore, great riffs, Ted sounds fantastic....Just excellent stuff! The second half is also very good....seems like more variety of in the second half which adds some depth and keeps it interesting. Upon my first couple listens the only tune not reall

Yeah, from last recording sessions. My guess it was left off because it was sorta similar to Rise...same sora message at least. Either way, shouldve been included on the album. I dig it....but then afain, I've dug just about everything in the Gronwall era so I'm probably a bit bias lol.

This is a tough question but the first guy to pop in my head is Erik Martensson. I mean, I seem to dig most everything he's involved in and have really dug W.E.T., Eclipse and Nordic Union and he's been integral in all 3 of those. And have liked a lot of other stuff that he's had a hand in. He's not the best singer by any means but I definitely think he's a strong artist that just knows ho

Good call on that Tesla. I think there was a Japan SHM done of Mechancial Resonance some years ago that sounds really good. But obviously not widely available. This is one that definitely should get some nice treatment from somebody. For Radio, there was a Japan re-issue in 2018 as part of that HR/HM 1000 series that sounds fantastic. Can find it fairly cheap on Ebay still. I know Bad

Expecting the rest of the year to be better than first half...at least for me. Tokyo Motor Fist is one I'm really looking forward to. Also Midnite City...both two of my favorite newer bands. The debut album from Arctoc Rain also sounding like it could be awesome. Might also get Maverick and more new Shiraz Lane. Hopefully there are some other surprises also.

Pretty good tune. The debut was one though that while I liked it initially, I didn't find myself going back to it very often for whatever reason. I actually just sold it recently as I just haven't pulled it off the shelf the past couple years. I just think this style of AOR just doesn't excite my tastes much and I prefer just a tiny bit more edge or something. I think Brother Firetribe is

I'll have to give this some thought. I will say though that at least for me, this decade is probably my least favorite decade for music that I've been alive. The 80's bands all seemed to really lose their luster and I hadn't really yet gotten big into the European scene yet. Just a really bad decade for me. I know it's not the question, but if I'm ranking my decades that I've been alive,

I'd say this is the same for me. Def Leppard was my favorite band back in the day but most of the bands I was digging were American. These days though, I'd definitely have to say European is where the majority of my favs are coming from....H.E.A.T, Eclipe, Crazy Lixx, Pretty Maids, Shiraz Lane, Degreed, Kissin' Dynamite, Treat....Just some that have consumed my listening the past 10 years

I'm with you on Slang. I have to say though that I absolutely hated that album when I first heard it and barely listened to it for a long time. Somewhere in the past 10 years or so though I pulled it out and damn, I love it now. I just dig the cool modern rock vibe it has but it still also has some big Leppard harmonies in spots. If you ask me, this is probably the kind of music they should

Also a big Leppard fan and for me, X, Sparkle Lounge and Def Leppard S/T all far behind Adrenalize IMO. Not a classic album by any means. The way I view it though is that is was worse than the albums that came before it (except OTTN) and better than the albums that came after it. Overall though, I do like this album and for me it ranks 4th in their discography behind Hysteria, Pyro and H

I guess I hate rock because I don't care for 95% of that list lol. Quite frankly, I'm not even sure I've heard 95% of that list. I guess all it shows to me is just how varied the "rock" genre can be. Or how badly informed 60,000 fans are :)

Not been a good year for my tastes. My top 3 is one full album and 2 EPs... H.e.a.t Shiraz Lane Wicked Smile Maybe I'm just grumpy this year with Corona and all but not muck really grabbing me. I expected to love One Desire but didn't care for it much at all and that would be my biggest letdown so far. Expecting the second half of the year to be better starting with Tokyo Motor Fis
