The thing though is that the whole familiarity thing really is irrelevant. I mean, we could all go through a list of members of the HOF and find acts on there that we've never even heard of. I could walk down the street and ask people if they've heard of The Ventures...Or Traffic and I'd bet 90% say no. There's no way 90% of people haven't at least heard of Def Leppard. Here's the list of

This has been talked about in Def Leppard fan circles for years. I firmly believe the HOF members have something against Def Leppard and there is literally no reason why they shouldn't be included. You're right though...It's all so subjective and there are no concrete measures for this stuff. I'm certain that Def Leppard has sold more albums and sold more concert tickets than quite a few a

Top ones for me that come to mind....Not in a particular order except how they came to me. I love looking at list stuff like this though as I try matching up my tastes to others and to see what I missed :) Shakedown - Degreed Ghosts Of My Old Friends - Midnite city Summer Of Our Lives - Midnite city Everything You Meant TO Me - Midnite city Bastard Of Society - H.e.a.t Blind Leads The Bl

No skips on Midnite city for me....love every track. I love TMF as well but Black N Blue and Fallin Apart just don't seem to do much for me. That said, Love Me Insane and Put Me To Shame might both be in my top 5 songs this year. Fantastic album! Has been a great year. I know for me there are a handful of albums that could've been my favorite album in previous years. I like reading these types of lists though...Often helps me find something I missed. My personal top 10: 1. Midnite city - S/T 2. H.e.a.t - Into The Great Unknown 3. Crazy Lixx - Ruff Justice 4. Tokyo Motor Fist - S/T 5. Eclipse - Monumentum 6. Harem Scarem -

My favorite album this year. Just something about it I really like even though it's a simple formula. Love the throwback feel and for me it's the only album this year where I can say I truly like every song on it.

Not sure on release date. I think it'll be early next year from what I've heard. I'm guessing March or April of 2018 just based upon some comments I've seen on the bands social media. Terry K. New single from the band Wildness out on AOR Heaven later this month. Have heard a handful of songs off this and really liking what I've heard. It's basically more Swedish Melodic rock. War Inside My Head Here's a couple other tunes that will be on the album: Collide Turning The Pages

I just recently came across these guys while searching on You Tube and found some stuff I liked. I went searching for CD's but haven't been able to find any of their past releases. I've seen posts on they're FB page that they're working on re-issuing hard copies of some stuff. I had wanted to pick up the Blue collar Revolver CD. All I could find is digital stuff and I hate digital lol. It'

All good tunes...I really like Cry also. The whole album is well done. Do feel like this album just slid under the radar without much fanfare at all. Really a quality release that anybody who has liked stuff like Far Cry, Tango Down, Adriangale, etc should check out. My favorite Kivel release to this point had probably been the Indentity Crisis album from Tango Down but this one is clea

I think they generally do a pretty good job with mixing up their setlists. The setlist from the first show of the tour was pretty good IMO. I'd love to see that same setlist at MRF5. From someone like me that is a Def Leppard fan and has seen what seems like 90% of the songs being the same for every show, I think H.e.a.t is killing it. I do agree slightly that Time On Our Side is weak a

Not much has been said about this album Kivel records just released but just have to say it's fantastic. The first single Room To Run was posted awhile ago and is on you tube. I have to say it's probably my favorite Kivel release. Album is super melodic, great song writing, crystal clear production, fantastic vocals/harmonies and great guitar work. It's kind of like Far Cry meets Tango

Thought hard about pre ordering this. But little on the fence here...need to hear another song or two before buying. Thought the first song Room to Run was decent. Have heard nothing but good things about it but would still like to hear more before buying.

I'm not going to complain...been a number of great releases the past few years that we might not have gotten otherwise. I just try to be selective and only buy what I know I'll really like. So I don't really notice the whole cookie cutter thing. It is disappointing they aren't more involved in supporting this site or with events like MRF that feature their artists. One would think that an

Would go but not really practical for me being in US. There are a couple bands I'd love to see and wish they were playing in Chicago...namely Degreed and One Desire. I'd be there if I lived in Sweden :)

Really digging the album and along with One Desire are my surprise albums of the year. Nothing fancy and don't think it has quite the depth as the Defiants album had, but it's definitely a similar vibe with feel-good, throwback melodic rock. IMO, there are better songs on the album than the one they chose as the first single. I particularly like Ghosts Of My Old Friends and We Belong. T

Just got this album....Ordered direct from AOR Heaven and got a week before the actual release date. First off, have to commend AOR Heaven for shipping early and wish that was done more often as it seems like a perfect way to reward those that are willing to preorder albums. Anyways, just had to say I'm loving this album and it's very much in the same vibe as something like the Defiants IMO.

Fully understand the reasons why reviews have taken a backseat and can't blame Andrew for prioritizing. That said though, do miss them as well. I always loved scanning back through reviews whenever I was itching to buy something new or just looking for thoughts on stuff I might've missed. I honestly wouldn't even mind quicker blurbs. A score with a few quick sentences or thoughts about th

New release coming from Kivel Records next week. Just helping to spread the word as this sounds pretty good to my ears. Hard hitting arena Rock. The album Bon Jovi never made !! Think Night Ranger, Slippery Era Bon Jovi with a wall of guitars and vocals. This is a 10 song album that is begging to be played on a big stage or cranked in your stereo, car or ipod. Blows my mind almost every year when I see this list....Always seems to be a handful of acts I've never heard of in my life. Just surprises me to see names being nominated for an elite "Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame" that I've never even heard of being such a big fan of "Rock" over the past 30-40 years. Take something like Baseball, Football or Basketball for example....There
