Would go but not really practical for me being in US. There are a couple bands I'd love to see and wish they were playing in Chicago...namely Degreed and One Desire. I'd be there if I lived in Sweden :)

Really digging the album and along with One Desire are my surprise albums of the year. Nothing fancy and don't think it has quite the depth as the Defiants album had, but it's definitely a similar vibe with feel-good, throwback melodic rock. IMO, there are better songs on the album than the one they chose as the first single. I particularly like Ghosts Of My Old Friends and We Belong. T

Just got this album....Ordered direct from AOR Heaven and got a week before the actual release date. First off, have to commend AOR Heaven for shipping early and wish that was done more often as it seems like a perfect way to reward those that are willing to preorder albums. Anyways, just had to say I'm loving this album and it's very much in the same vibe as something like the Defiants IMO.

Fully understand the reasons why reviews have taken a backseat and can't blame Andrew for prioritizing. That said though, do miss them as well. I always loved scanning back through reviews whenever I was itching to buy something new or just looking for thoughts on stuff I might've missed. I honestly wouldn't even mind quicker blurbs. A score with a few quick sentences or thoughts about th

New release coming from Kivel Records next week. Just helping to spread the word as this sounds pretty good to my ears. Hard hitting arena Rock. The album Bon Jovi never made !! Think Night Ranger, Slippery Era Bon Jovi with a wall of guitars and vocals. This is a 10 song album that is begging to be played on a big stage or cranked in your stereo, car or ipod. Romeo Riot is a band of now brin

Blows my mind almost every year when I see this list....Always seems to be a handful of acts I've never heard of in my life. Just surprises me to see names being nominated for an elite "Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame" that I've never even heard of being such a big fan of "Rock" over the past 30-40 years. Take something like Baseball, Football or Basketball for example....There

H.e.a.t was the one album I was looking forward to all year and it stands above the rest for me even though opinions have been divided on it. Honorable mention to Crazy Lixx as that had been my favorite album all year until H.e.a.t's release.

Summer Of Our Lives First official single release from debut album due out 10/20 on AOR Heaven. These guys definitely have a Danger Danger/Defiants type of vibe going on. Have heard 5 songs from this album so far on various podcasts and such...Absolutely will be among my favorite albums this year.

I have to agree. It's just doesn't feel all that different than the last album to me outside of maybe just an expansion on the production and synths on some songs. Fundamentally though, TDTW had a lot of variety also IMO and was inherently a bit different than ATN in it's overall feel. They've just done the same thing again trying to push ahead a bit while still sounding like H.e.a.t. For

1. Tearing Down The Walls 2. Into The Great Unknown 3. Address the Nation Not bothering ranking the first two albums as I don't like them at all and to me, it's almost like a completely different band since Erik Gronwall joined.

Lots posted on this already....some like it, some don't... I personally love it and think it pretty much just great melodic rock like the last couple albums have been. Yeah, it's got some variety and a few quirky WTF type moments, but for me it's all a fantastic and interesting listen. I think generally the people that are struggling with it are looking for something specific....They want

Really wanting to hear the USA details also. I know Andrew said he was going to announce the Sweden festival before putting USA tickets on sale... VIP options and set times are what I'm hoping to hear. I'm planning to fly in Friday morning and probably need to fly out Sunday. I'm pretty bummed as I want to catch Midnite City and they're one of the highlights for me....Hoping maybe if they

Anybody listening to this today? Thoughts on the full album? Personally, I've loved the past 2 albums and like this one a lot too. I think much has been made of the "new direction" as a result of the first few singles but it really doesn't feel like a whole new direction to me after hearing the whole album. I mean, Tearing down the Walls really had a lot of variety IMO. A Shot

Great song...Erik sounds fantastic on this one IMO. Love the way this song builds up. My japan CD is supposed to be delivered today :) I've heard the whole album already but looking forward to hearing that Japan bonus track FYI Miley. I wasn't expecting much from the title but have seen a couple people saying it's a good rocker and that is clearly should've been on the standard album.

Also didn't care for Time On Our side at first...But after hearing the whole album, I don't mind it at all. I basically just view it as an uptempo type ballad. It think it works much better as a change of pace song in the album. Still feel like it was a terrible choice as the first single though. Loving the album....Little bit of everything and I like the variety on it. I think people have

If anybody hasn't heard this song, it was played on last nights FRYdays with Fry show. Pretty awesome show for anybody that hasn't checked it out. Anyways, Blind Leads The Blind starts at about the 1:01:10 mark and for me, might be my favorite song on the new album.

Such a great year...I expect there will be all kinds of variety in these types of lists. Personally, there are probably 4-5 releases for me that could've been my #1 album in recent years. So far my favorite albums are: H.e.a.t - Into The Great Unknown Crazy Lixx - Ruff Justice Tokyo motor Fist - S/T Eclipse - Monumentum Harem Scarem - United One Desire - S/T Degreed - S/T Only one

Awesome....Really sounding fantastic to me and has been one of my most anticipated releases even in such a strong year for melodic rock. I'm getting almost a Defiants/Danger Danger/Tokyo Motor Fist type vibe from this and would think this would be an album that could appeal to many that follow this site. Thanks for the update Pete. pgn111 Wrote: --------------------------------------

Midnite City is a new melodic rock band out of the UK who will be at MRF5 in Chicago. First full song I've seen dropped on FRYdays with Fry podcast a couple nights ago called We Belong. Can go to the 16:30 mark in this if you'd like to give a listen... https://www.mixcloud.com/arfm/pete-fry-fryday-with-fry-september-8th-2017/ Loving this and really looking forward to their debut album d

Yeah...I'm sure you're right. They're getting the commercial, different stuff out there in hopes of attracting new fans figuring that people who are H.e.a.t fans are going to buy this regardless. It's hard to blame them for wanting more and trying to expand. I'll bet we get one more song on or around the release date that will be one of the rockers on the album. Fantastic song thoug

Fantastic song...Awesome vocal performance by Erik IMO. Do still think it's a little odd they've picked the 3 songs they have as the first singles. I suppose they are probably the most commercial songs on the album so I guess that's why. There are better songs on it IMO though....Really like Bastard Of Society, Best Of The Broken and Blind Leads The Blind. Fantastic album that people shou

Huge Def Leppard fan also....Started during the High N Dry days...So I was along for all the "changes"... I embraced Hysteria....Loved it pretty much from day one. However, with slang I remember my first listen to the album and when I finished, I had a bewildered look and wondered what the heck I just listened to. I think I listened a couple more times and basically filed the alb

Agree with you....the other tracks we've heard are all better. Basically, I've heard 6 songs total so far and the two singles are my least favorite. I suppose they're going for the commercial crowd and trying to expand to some different fans...But still think it's odd they didn't put at least one of the rockers out yet. i'm assuming maybe the next single before launch. I don't hate the fi

I like it. Agree, not quite as strong as last album but still really good. First 5 tracks are great...Then the ballad is probably my least favorite track. It really needed some guitar or drums in the middle to give it some spice. Picks up decently after that...Evil Eye not bad, War rocks, Lay Me Down is really good....Then the last two songs are okay. And I've really only listened once

I promise they do! Bastard Of Society reminds me a lot of Inferno from TDTW. And Blind Leads The Blind might be one of the best rockers they've done. I get the criticism and if I hadn't heard other songs and these first two songs were all that I heard, I'd probably be upset too. I guess I'm just more accepting of these songs as departures or changes of pace knowing there are other rockers o
