I started to play guitar 1973...and 1976 i started to read Guitar Player Magazine..the bible of all guitar magazines in the world. Before internet magazines like this was the only source to great inside information about gear and the great players featured. It's been a top 5 bucket list thing to get an article in GP...i've been on the cover of several other big guitar magazines and featured

Jill Johnson is one of the biggest stars in Sweden and actually records most of her albums in Nashville with the A-list including the Huff's, Rascal Flats etc...she sings a duet with Rascal Flats on their new CD... Here's the big hit single from her 2005 album that sold gold and topped the charts for a summer... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUkHMXfoPOs

I absolutely Paisley...saw him live last year which was amazing and got to meet him after the show cause he tried my signature guitar and really liked it...funny and down to earth guy. For me the modern country has replaced the place in my music soul that AOR used to have...it just has that quality of GREAT song writing, top class musicians and productions that AOR used to have...

I love the cover...it's very dark and Black Sabbath... Unlucky 13th...burning like bonfires, crosses etc...there is a lot of deeper thoughts behind it.... Looks like the poster of a horror movie... I'm just super thrilled it isn't another computer picture AOR cover with things in the water, a long highway or a weird looking bird with steel wings :D

Hey Dave, we are looking into several ways of doing both Legends and Bobby Kimball Band tours of UK right now...it is absolutely one of the favorite countries on our list. Nothing is booked but we are working on it. Next week we are starting a special Legends tour, the first shows will feature Graham Bonnet together with Bobby Kimball, Steve Augeri and Bill Champlin in Slovakia and Spain.

On April 25th we are playing Stockholm with Legends at Debaser Medis….but the day before that, April 24th, we will be the first act to launch a new big show in the Swedish "Abbey Road" studio. This is the legendary old EMI studio that later became Cosmos and now is X-Level and it's the largest music studio in Sweden, artists like Abba, Roxette, J Lo, Backstreet Boys, Lady Gaga etc

I'm VERY proud of Mecca II...i think it will stand the test of time really good because the songs, music, lyrics and melodies, are deep and far from cliche in many ways...for some it's not your easy going party album but that was never the goal... We had Peter Gabriel as a reference while talking about the style... I can't wait to play some of these songs live...with THIS gang of lovely dud

I totally agree with you Alex!!! And i'm very happy i got to meet and hang with Tedesco during my years in LA...i started reading his wonderful column STUDIO LOG in Guitar Player in the 70's and didn't miss a single one for years and years...that's how i learnt what a studio musician do. I still use some of his famous tricks...like "Hollywood tuning" which means you tune any strin

OMG...one of THE biggest unsung heroes in the history of music! I had the pleasure of knowing Tommy a little during my years in LA and i also did an interview with him not too long before he sadly passed away. He is known in the studio world as the godfather of all session players and during the 60's and 70's he played on more albums, singles, movies, jingles etc than anyone else...from Bea

haha yes this is getting silly!!!....it IS Bobby doing the LEAD vocals on the choruses...including MOST harmonies as well...Lukather comes in halfway with the lower harmony... The video actually means nothing because Mike Porcaro is shown singing backing vocals...and he didn't even play bass on the album...or sing on it :D The song IS a duet between Paich and Kimball...just as Rosanna is a du

My whole point is that they all fucked up from time to time...Luke, Bobby and other members...like in most big bands...shit happens!! Luke is clean, feeling sad about his past actions and going about life with new and positive eyes...that's great and i wish him nothing but the best for the future. He is playing better than ever and just made an awsome album! Bobby went through his rough pe

I used to have a interview with Luke on VHS from some European TV show where they asked him "so what do you think about the old singers?"...he replied "if i saw Bobby burning on the street i wouldn't even piss on him to save his life".... Getting clean and sober does not erase what you did drunk and stoned... But..and i told you this in private Joe...Bobby has ABSOLUTELY

I've known Luke for 25 years and Bobby for 20...they are both humans in a weird business....meaning they have of course done and said a lot of stupid things over the years. They are like family members with a lot of love for each other but having trouble getting along...simply because they are VERY different people. I will say on record since it's hardly a secret...that Luke has always been

Nikki has done some really great lyrics and is far more talented than he gets credit for... And i also agree with lyrics in general...probably my favorite singer and song writer is Richard Page...if you wanna talk about brilliant lyrics also! I think it is a problem with AOR not coming so much from USA or England anymore...it's a lot from here in Sweden and then Germany, Italy etc...Englis
