Dave Meniketti states: “It is with great disappointment that I announce Y&T's decision to withdraw from Saxon's upcoming fall Europe/UK tour. As many of you already know, I severely injured my back in July and have been under the care of a sports doctor/back specialist ever since. After I received two rounds of cortisone injections to reduce the inflammation, we all had high hopes I'd get &

Maybe he lent them to Biff Byford for the Saxon tour and didn't get them back on time. A good pair of 'singing teeth' must be expensive :)

Kinda embroidering on the earlier post - what's the craziest price you ever paid for a CD? A friend of mine was watching a CD on Ebay for days, after chasing the album for over a decade. In the end, he was too tired to stay awake for the end of the auction. Determined to own the CD, he put a £500 bid on and went to bed. Next morning he was very alarmed to discover he was about to own his

Gentlemen...that all brings back so many great memories, including as a teenager, hearing "Through A Sombre Galaxy" in my headphones on The Friday Rock Show at daft o'clock one Friday night and being utterly blown away by it - especially the bass line... As you say - happier times...

i strongly suspect Messrs Simmons and Stanley are signing a 'Cease and desist' order as we speak. He can't seriously think for a minute they won't blow that out the water - unless they are waiting to see the logo and they can do him for wrongful use of trademark and infringement of copywrite all at the same time lol Oh, and for the record, he was meant to be a wizard, not an ankh warrior an

Two different bands IMHO. If you are not really interested in prog, then whatever their commercial impact, I would suspect the Fish years will not be for you as for each "Kayleigh" there is at least one "She Chameleon" lol. I personally can't advise you on the Hogarth years as I am a dyed-in-the-wool Fish head and the change of style, whilst I bought the first couple, they

TV on the radio, Thomas The Vance, the music vendor, welcoming you to../ ...The Friday Rock Show lol The only radio show ever to have thousands of teenagers forced to buy a C120 cassette so they could tape the first hour, turn it over in the news, and then tape the second hour and hope Tommy didn't waffle over the intro or outtro to anything special you would copy off and keep the day a

Afternoon all, Just spotted a listing for a new Fair Warning album in September, that shows DVD and Blu Ray - wondering if anyone knows anything for certain? I'm guessing it's part / all of the 2017 Club Citta Japan gigs but have no real clue or title or whatever - anyone help? Thanks

Facky Nell, I have truly seen and heard it all now. Stephen Hawking replaced years ago by a puppet and CGI just to continue to convince the ordinary man that the world is round, when obviously all the clever people know it's actually flat. Which stone did this cretinous, deluded scum crawl out from under?

I'm sure I read recently at work that the average cost of manufacturing a CD in a jewel case with a 12 page book was, for an intermediate label at least, no more than GBP £1.29 on what was termed "...a small to moderate pressing..." Obviously what the industry calls 'boutique labels' (which we mostly all support) will ergo pay more - but the figures that Marco supplies, coupled wit

Nicest for me, by a mile have been Danny Vaughn, Mike Tramp, Ged Rylands, Fish, Eric Carr, Brian May, Bruce Kulick, Tony Mills and the guys from Shy, FM, Cats In Space, Bob Catley, Gary Hughes, Don Airey, Jorn Lande, Mark Slaughter, Dana Strum and loads more - I have been extremely fortunate to meet many heroes in a music loving life. Douches were the ubiquitous Mr Simmons, Mr Stanley, Ian Gil

They won't explain pal because they simply don't have to - their ridiculous monopoly on tickets means they can, will, and do exactly as they please, because as long as we want to see the show, we have to put up their crass dodgy business practices, platinum clubs, and shady dealing. Can we vote with our feet?? We can chose to buy a CD from elsewhere if we get vexed by the conglomerate nonsense of

A strange combo on paper for sure, but certainly in terms of ability, I had the pleasure of meeting Mitch and filming his first ever UK gig at The Phoenix Rising festival in Manchester a ton of years back - he managed a full /long set then with no issues. He's tried his hand at New Country as well, so no stranger to slightly altering his vocal delivery. I'm pretty sure he'll give this his best

At £33.99 (according to Mr Amazon and his pre-sale), and the fact that the details say it's a 7 disc set, I'm not expecting much in terms of extras, unless they do what Saxon have been doing, and load a pile of extras - demos, lives and B side stuff on the tail end of each disc, after admittedly short album times and pack every disc to capacity. Is there that much unreleased stuff to pack a

Thanks all, I don't imagine the remasters will be on a par with the Japanese SHM CDs (although I don't own a full set of those), and to be honest I was underwhelmed with the Rock Candy remaster of "Down For The Count".Yup, I have both volumes of the "Unearthed" CDs, thanks - I was just wondering if there had been some kind of new licensing agreement between Big Man Dave and R

I would LOVE them to do a Helloween type thing and stage everyone - Way, Schenker, Laurence Archer, Paul Chapman, hell even Atomic Tommy M if anyone can find him - you really could put the set list from heaven together and not have to indulge in the millionth time you heard the basic "Strangers..." set lol. Can you imagine seeing them do "Lonely Heart", "We belong to the

I own quite a few remasters to be honest, and especially the Japanese SHM remasters and Blu Spec versions can be stunning when heard via quality Hifi equipment, but in all probability they don't make too much difference on MP3 player / stream / blue tooth speaker whatever. And, IMHO there are far too many "Emperor's new clothes" releases where we are all told how magnificent the new
