Hey there Andrew. As much as i enjoy the phorum at times. ( it's something allright) I have to wonder why you put up with it as so many on here are just downright ungrateful, nasty, demanding little twats who DONT seem to give 2 shits' how much work it takes to get this site, the features and the rest together! You got a life, as you said health issues, multiple kids, wife and A LIFE!!! Just p

interesting. me thinks most people ( esp. Here) stopped listening to non-melodic rock/ AOR/Glam after about 1988. But that could just be me. Like when these classic 70-80's bands try to branch out to do new sounds within rock n roll and are shit all over by people who want the same sounds like "Escape" or 1984/ 5150 CTA Don't change into something other than what i liked when

disagree respectfully. I like at least 4-5 songs quite a bit. It's heavy but it's more than that. I like SB's voice, the band's writing at the time. Far & away not a masterpiece but quite a good hard rock output. As I recall the worst thing to happen to music EVER, "Grunge" was in high gear and this record still found an audience. I remember a couple of the singles played often

hahah he is a bit portly and not a typically handsome dude. Funny enough a longtime friend of mine sent me a ball-busting text last night saying how auto-tuned he sounded. I admit. it sounds a little too " Perfected" but, as i wrote earlier elsewhere, IF this guy actually sang this...if its not a complete redo or "fix" he's got real talent. Even if the guy live is pitchy, w

i for one am a huge fan of the original Trek series, the 7 movies with the original casts and also somewhat the other series, and I loved the Next Generation cast & their films were mostly really good. I'm an even bigger Lucas fan and I'm NOT a fan of what JJ did with the 2 trek movies. Especially, The latter which much like the reboot, was exciting in parts and had really good actors in i

It didnt work for Journey True guys. But, for non-creative reasons mainly. That label was a fucking stiff it folded not soon after and did 100% zero promotion for it. The only reason their next record did a million is due to the fact it was released with a live dvd and a re-recorded heavily, auto-tuned greatest hits cd all 3 combined and released cheaply by Walmart. An American superstore!

Hi. I dig this album alot in parts. A very fun pop record a bit light in the loaffers guitar wise ( with a couple of exceptions) but, a good overall set of songs mostly from 2010-2014 I personally would love to hear a couple of tracks this year live "More Will Be Revealed" by co-founder & Main songwriter the Legendary Robert Lamm a great mid-tempo that has a real groove to it

Hi, good question! Personally I enjoy Steven Augeri Rock n Roll Journey To his predessor not just because I liked SA's voice better for certain songs ( i do) I just like the music better and enjoyed his versions, with DC Mr. Amazing & Schon Cain etc Many say " If the original guys aren't there it must suck and I'm not down". For me, I don't care either way. Yeah, it's fine

True TK. However, The boys from LA are NOT Simplistic, big crunching riffs, ridiculous fifths and pointless solo's like so many famous current and former bands out there. What so many critics HATE about them--And by critic i mean record buying public--that they cannot be pigeoned into " classic rock" band or " just a run of the mill metal" "West Coast AOR" or w

Love me some Jason "Scheffy" Scheff songwriting, singing and bass. There new CD from 2014 'NOW' has some really fine pop work from Jase of base and co-founder Lamm. However, to me, This track like "Bend", is not anything other than PURE SP! Many haven't heard his songs as he's not released very many esp. in the band. But, this is toto-ally @PorcaraMusica groove on

I lust love the song! It's not rock n roll surely but, SP writes in a VERY personal and beautifully melodic style. All the most well balanced TOTO albums have a song by him. Here's a recent interview by a fan and player with Steve Porcaro friend and co-writer,]Michael Sherwood. I luv the old days and stories of who, why, how things got made and the process. Even though I'm not a player anym

Terryk Hi Mate. On what singers were more popular? Kriminal was the orginal so for many he still remains #1. I used to be a big fan of his. Not in years though for reasons discussed before and the fact he's completely lost it live the past few years. JW, prefer him or not is a superior vocalist in every single way from hitting live notes WITHOUT auto-tune, lip-syncing or just screaming out

Guys & GALS. The Internet has ruined the music business. Though i use it, at times even enjoy it. Find like many do, it enhances our live's informationaly much quicker than say, a library book or physical paper/magazine, what have you... I have to say that this whinning about quality when you've been listening to many times, ILLEGAL, DIGITIZED, SHITTFUL, CHOPPED versions and not what the ba

WHEN I READ THIS, about 3 hours ago as i was about to head out and do the errands of the day i forgot before heading back to work tomorrow i saw this pop on my twitter feed. I didnt KNOW Mike Porcaro but like many, after meeting and chatting with him on a few occasions, like thousands out there, I felt his warmth, kindness, loose-happy-go-lucky friendly way he had about him. He truly was a

Fucking A Right on the noggin' there BOB!! I couldn't agree more. As a former record store salesguy ( at one of THE coolest non-chain record stores in chicagoland Long gone Music Warehouse) from around the time i went to stores to shop for musicical instruments, records & shit with my folks as a wee lad ( Late 70's early 80's) I remember the anticipation of hearing about a new album on

Mourning from 33 degrees below freezing Chicagoland IL. Question: Why do fans /pundits rag on & shit talk bands/artists for things they aren't in charge of or have control of? Frontiers records is the Record label. They have a contract /deal/agreement with TOTO for this ONE studio album. Last I checked, artists aren't in charge of release dates, singles released, or even cover art &a

Well, it was born out of the shittful situation the band was put in by their former LONGTIME managers, Fitzgerald & Hartley and also Frontiers Label Brass. Lots of $$$ probably hundgreds of thousands of cheddar later, and they decide to just do their 1 album for those Soprano wannabe's and it sounds like it's a sign of FABULOUS long term things to come for Luke, Paich,Hungate, Porcaro &

2015 like so many the past few years, I too am on a budget, at times rather tight. With that said, I would've not eaten for a few days ( id drink my protein shakes haha) or not bought new razor blades, climbed a mountain or whatever crazy thing needed to save enough $$ to see TOTO I did it. August 29th Friday 2014 I saw Michael McDonald ( so glad i did) & another Legendary group TOTO O

I think Journey should be added to everyone's lists. Boston as well. Both of there most recent new/previously unreleased albums were trashed by most fans and the buying public. Rightfully so, what i heard wasn't good at all on any level. Great bands at one time. Maybe time to call it a day? Rock on, M

Dig it....Great player, songwriter & singer. Jason for those who didnt know sang Lead and/or backing vocals and played bass guitar on over 12 hits for Chicago since July 1985 when he auditioned and was asked to replace the recently departed Peter Cetera, who quit that spring. ON Sandiego, CA Radio. Great interview!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK5alhGdLe4
