Huge Bon Jovi fan BUT I think this is the first album I'm not buying - lame lyrics, pop production, better singing tone than 'The Circle' but all throw away songs with no passion or bite at all - no riffs, no vocal range and just lame ....... 'Beautiful World' verses are exactly the same melody as Matchbox Twenty 'How Far We've Come' - even the same chord progression - how the hell someone i

Heard 7 of the new songs and can't say I like or hate them - Sounds in part like bad Bruce Springsteen ('Water made Me' with the awful 'Baby Baby lyric) and easy listening pop/rock .... I am/was a huge Bon Jovi fan and was lucky enough to open for them and meet Jon - who whatever people might say is a nice hard working guy ....... Having said that if I'm been honest the last good album was '

I'm with Aussie Dave with this - I find the best albums that stand the test of time are growers and this album has been a massive grower for me - Only track I'm not sold on is the Taupin Co-write - Is It 'Weathering The Storm' - Swap that for the leftover track 'Backseat Driver' and a great album...... I hear a live band and actual playing off each other more than I have any Jovi album since 'Bou

It all comes down to budget and promotion ..... However obviously a band/solo singer who is remembered or currently in the spotlight should sell more tickets than the die hard AOR fan who knows many bands in the genre. Unfortunately some bands think they are worth more than they actually are..... For me to travel from the U.K it would have to be a killer bill..... Dan Reed Network original line

Hi guys - Just wanted to say this fantastic U.S band is touring the U.K at the moment and I suggest any melodic rock fans in the U.K go and watch them - I've seen them once and they were awesome live!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RC7YR11gRUQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg7DuciQpjE&feature=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6xvpQYA94Y

If you took 'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be' , Highway To Hell' and 'You Shook Me All Night Long' and mashed them up to write a song this is what you would get ....... Not at all original but for what it is a pretty good rock party song - If AC/DC released this (o.k up a few keys for Brian's screaming voice) it would be regarded as an AC/DC classic and return to form which I guess is a compliment

I've met and talked to a bit and he's a great guy ........ I last spoke to him last year when he and I was discussing the drummer for the album - it's very clear Rob and Paul have a major influence on the band - Rob very very much so ..... At the time they had no producer and I mentioned a few big names of which I was told Rob did n't like them...... I was really looking forward to this album b

Cheers mate - and I appreciate that - main reason is the track is totally toally bare - no reverb - no compression - no mix - no samples - feel free to check out an older version (and honestly vocal performance wise) not as good version at www.myspace.com/karljohnsonmusic ...... The competition is the prize of mixing a track so I've literally just bounced down the most roughest barest version fro

Hi guys, Been on this site years and am sometimes seen on this forum. I opened up for Bon Jovi and Nickelback in 2006 with my band SPIN. After several disasters I've nearly finished asolo album and have entered WAVES competition to have a track mixed by Chris Lord Alge - the worlds top mixer (Jovi, Green Day, Shinedown etc) but unfortunately to be judged by him you need to get into the

Mike - do us all a favour and post this message on Phil Collens facebook page - I've put something similar up on Vivs and Phils and they do read the posts! - What your saying is totally true ..... Phil goes out with Manraze live - going on their argument they should do one or two Manraze songs and the rest Def Lep and Sex Pistols classics.... If radio won't play new songs then the only way for a

It's the sound unfortunately ofcommercial radio - just like stone walling is nowadays for mastering - all tracks nowadays in production need to pretty much 100% in tune and drum/bass tracks what we call beat detectived - meaning pretty much 100% in rigid time - could you imagine the Stones or Zeppelin like this ? lol Tommy is right - Melodyne ismuch better and less noticable although you can ge

I love Sammy Hagar and think as a singer he's in a different league - I also think as a body of work Sammy era Van Halen is stronger although much more radio friendly - but the standout Roth Van Halen tracks are classics and genre defining ....... I've got to say the track is a real grower and I hope the album is decent - I wonder how many tracks they actually worked on ? - But I will say no al

Probably in the minority here but I think it's a really good catchy modern commercial track that will get loads of radio play which I guess is what they are aiming for - it's miles away from their early stuff but well written and produced .... kj

- They obviously (record label) want them to sell more units and be more mainstream after the success of the last album - It's very vocal and drum heavy rather than the guitar heaviness of the last album ..... - I think it's an o.k song but I usually prefer Rob Cavallo productions (and I guess Chris Lord Alge mix ?) more than this .....

I don't hate this c.d - but I just wish bands would progress a little - to me 'Here and Now' is a second rate 'Dark Horse' copy overall but without the magic of Mutt Lange.... There's some good songs but it just lacks some steam towards the middle and the end - pity has the first three tracks are great - as is 'Lullaby' but trying to make the same album twice without the guy who made it a great

A producer like rOB cavallo or Obrien would be great but it's not going to happen ..... They make their money from touring and look at the set lists - apart from Undefeated everything else is virtually 20 years old - not even Promises in the set list .... They track very much like a pop act - no real guitar amps, all simulator and chances are recorded at all different locations around the wo
