Hot for Love was indeed played live but is only currently available on audience recording bootlegs. Sounds pretty good live too.

The Reckless deluxe edition is coming out September 8th. It will take a lot to beat the SHM remaster from Japan though.

I would imagine that Cheap Trick demo was recorded after the Lap of Luxury album. It sounds nothing like the vibe of that album and would have been out of place. Sounds more like a soundtrack song to me.

Adrenalize came out 6 months after Waking Up the Neighbors. Mutt was busy with that record. That's why he couldn't do Adrenalize. Spot on about the production JMac. It's always seemed weird to me. Way too much reverb. Mike Shipley was an exceptional engineer and producer but they were trying too hard to sound like Mutt on that record. They should have mixed it the way they mixed Starship's Lo

I don't know where Ken is getting his info but according to the RIAA Adrenalize sold 3 million here, not 6 million. Mutt Lange co-wrote 9 of the 10 tracks and they are far from his best work.

It could be argued that the city skyline is a reference to Feeding Off the Mojo. It also appears that the pattern in the water is similar to the pattern on the cover of Neverland.

Everybody gushes about Rock Candy but they have mastered several titles from vinyl and to be honest their liner notes are really half assed.

Just in case you missed them when they were reissued the first time and don't want to pay collector's prices, Wounded Bird is reissuing Vices and Welcome to the Club in January.

The Ratt ones are long out of print and go for big bucks on Ebay. All of the Dokken mini-lp versions are out of print but the jewel case versions of the remasters of Breaking the Chains and Under Lock and Key are still available on CDJapan as I write this. They are limited as well so I wouldn't hesitate to buy them now. Oddly enough, I got my Breaking the Chains mini-lp at Amoeba here in LA for a

Why Can't This Night Go On Forever reached 24 on the US AC chart so it definitely was a hit. This and several other hits are missing from GH II while songs that weren't even singles are present like When I Think of You. Basically fans are better off making their own hits collections. That way the CDs would include actual singles/hits, not just what Steve Perry thinks should be included. They have

I finally picked this CD up yesterday. It's very tough to find in Southern California evidently. Excellent liner notes as usual Andrew. I'm digging the new tune a lot. I wish the whole new CD would be released though. As for the unreleased "Keys to the City," I like it but not as much as the definitive VU version. The Starship version is more laid back but still cool. It's nice to see a

Oh right Bobby is the bad guy and Luke is the heavenly angel. Bullshit! Bobby has been consistently slagged for YEARS (and still is from time to time on Luke's Facebook page) while the guys in Toto claim they are the innocent ones. They would be nothing if Bobby hadn't been there. If I were Bobby I would tell them all to go fuck themselves, especially Luke.

Just discovered this Phil Christian track "Prisoner." Check it out it's catchy as hell. Includes the great Stevie Salas on guitar and Jody Cortez on drums. Reminds me of Michael Morales a little. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La-lnrmuVcg

ANYTHING is open to debate. There are no absolutes. It's too bad some people took it too seriously. If someone doesn't like an album you like, so what? To say it isn't open for debate is narrow minded. It's getting to be like Nazi Germany in here. Lighten up!

I just wanted to say thank you to Rock Candy for releasing remastered versions of Quiet Riot's Condition Critical , Fastway and LA Guns debut and Cocked & Loaded. I requested remastered versions of the Quiet Riot and LA Guns releases not long ago and was very surprised that they were coming so soon. Thank you Rock Candy for the wonderful reissues and keep up the good work.
