The opening song is quite good, but the rest is very mediocre.

Keats was cool. Great vocals. I don't have Ladyhawke. Will have to check it out.

That's the number I have. That's the original. The one with the APP logo has static in places as well as pops and clicks. The last track also fades out long before it's supposed to. - Ryan

It's a shame that Freudiana wasn't part of the set. That is quite an opus. If you can get ahold of the rare original pressings released under Woolfson's name, it's a must buy. The re-release under APP has many flaws.

Is this going to be an English language album or will he be singing in his first language?

I think Rock of Faith blows Battle Lines away. It's mellow but there are no bad songs.

I don't troll your posts Niv. You just spend so much time posting (and preaching) here, that the incendiary nature of your posts are everywhere. You are an attention seeker and appear to be very bitter. I suggest you abandon the melodic rock genre completely because your disdain of it is clearly damaging your psyche. Now you can go whine about this post because I told it exactly as it is.

You keep saying the same thing in every post. We understand you don't like it, so don't you think you've classified it as "shit" enough? You're just being childish and redundant. For the record, I think Wetton sounds better than ever. - Ryan

I have heard the album in its entirety several times and am anxiously waiting for my order to arrive. I think the vocals are brilliant and each song is melodic. It could definitely rock a little more but the hooks are huge and the vocals are great. - Ryan

Live and let live. You can continue to think Katy Perry is the messiah, and others can continue to think she's bubblegum. There is no need to be redundant and forceful in asserting your beliefs. We have heard you. Some agree and some disagree. Live and let live.

If you haven't already, check out some of the live versions on youtube where Jackie does great falsetto ad-libs. So far from melodic rock, but this man's talent was u

I guarantee you could play lossless audio through outstanding Bose QC15 headphones and then play 320 kpbs mp3 and there is no one on this board who would be able to tell the difference. I admit, I am a lossless snob, and covet WAV/FLAC files, but the human ear can only discern so much based on that. A shit mix is a shit mix, no matter if it is WAV or MP3. - Ryan

I thought his playing was masterful on the 2nd Mecca album, but I agree the overdubbing on the Jimi Jamison Firefest show was deplorable. It would seem that to this guy, not getting enough P.R. (by his standards) is reason enough to flea from a message board. People should participate on this board to share their love of music and also agree and disagree on a myriad of topics. They should not

I never had a gripe with him except for how the drum sound he used on Journey's Revelation. It sounded like the drums were made of cardboard. He did a brilliant job on Trial By Fire.

I think the past 3 are all very consistent, but in terms of an album that plays consistently from beginning to end, Omega might be the best. Howe shines the most on that one. - Ryan

If these are anywhere hear as good as the Japan DSD remasters from 8 years ago, then they will be well worth it. I skipped out on these 3 when that series came out but won't make the same mistake again. Thanks for mentioning these upcoming releases. - Ryan

I've been quite happy with every album since the reunion and the samples from Gravitas sound like winners to me. I'm much more concerned with melody than how fast or hard a song is. This is great AOR and it's too bad people are so hung up on tempo, or lack thereof. A great melody is a great melody, regardless of speed. - Ryan

I think that's a really bad example. People have a right to keep their health problems private. You, nor any other fan, is obligated to know such information. If you feel you were deceived or misled, maybe you should take a look at the fourth amendment. - Ryan

I wish Simon the best of luck. He has a very definitive style that meshed well with Toto's style from the very beginning. I'll definitely miss what he brings to the table. He truly is a world-class drummer. - Ryan

It's a pretty consistent album and an enjoyable experience but does anyone else tire of songs about "rocking" and having a good time??? I know melodic rock lyrics ain't supposed to be rocket science but there are bands with deeper subject matter. Tempest's voice was pure class though. I know he hasn't hit the nigh notes for a long time but how is that 2CD live set that just came out?

It is worth noting that Out of This World and Prisoners In Paradise were remastered and released as a 2CD set on the Iron Bird label in 2009. The sound quality is excellent. - Ryan
