So I am starting to listen to Toto a lot more, I've always known of the 3 big ones, Africa, Roseanna, and Hold The Line. Africa and Roseanna are possibly my favorite songs of all time. Then I started listening to their other albums. How come some of these songs are never mentioned? These are just fantastic songs, some of which are much better then what's on their greatest hits Isolation St

Who are some huge aholes in the music industry that makes you like their music less because of it? Bon Jovi- Saw behind the scenes of him, he thinks hes this gift and treats his band members like garbage when his music is sub-par at best Springsteen- Non stop politics. I don't care I've heard Steve Lukather was kinda of a pain too but I can't back that claim up Also Dave Mustaine is j

Thanks guys. I'm going to play with my VST and fiddle around with chorus effects and see if I can get it. I keep hearing it all over melodic rock but can't find a name for it! I think this might even be a better example http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uE3gXpYuHKs It sounds glassy, that's the best way I can describe it lol

I am trying to get this sound on my guitar but I don't know the name of the effect! It is used in the Angelica album a few times like here http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IANBrmdDM2g# The background/cleaner guitar sounds kind of echoey? It is used quite a bit like on the Silence City Days/Nights, Crash The System (Like a rolling stone) Any guitar players, producers please help!

I have always wanted to record music. I have a ton of ideas in my head for songs but I never have put them together because I don't know how and don't have the software. Well I want to change that I play guitar. I have equipment to play guitar through my computer. I also can play the keyboards slightly and have decent, not good voice. I just don't know where to begin. I know you need drum

Videos get their point across. Rather have a company save money and keep producing music! I guess not everyone is going to be a fan of everything.

I listened to the preview. I actually enjoyed it and think it will be a pretty good album. I don't know why people don't like the song. I thought its catchy and pretty much were ISSA left off on the first album

Listening to them on YouTube. There are a few good ones and the others are just okay. Maybe I have to listen to them more. I LOVED Streets of Fire. That was a fantastic album. This one feels really rushed. Not sound wise, melody wise. Just doesn't have it

See, that stuff to me is Classic Rock. Everyone knows those bands or at least has heard of them I mean newer stuff. I am only 23 and this new rock is what I listen to (as well as the old stuff) I try to introduce people to this new genre of melodic rock. That is what I meant. For example, my dad loves classic rock but doesn't know the newer melodic rock.

I was wondering about this. When I tell people I listen to melodic rock, they really don't know what it is. So I show them music. I usually play either W.E.T. If I Fall or Brother Firetribe Heart Full of Fire I play these songs cause I feel that most people will like these songs, regardless of genre taste. What do you guys play when introducing melodic rock?

There is another one too, the song at the end, I do not believe it is on the album either, unless they changed it a little for the "Power of Love"

Music is my life and being a guitar player, my lifelong dream would be in tour and making music. But instead I am a geologist since its way easier to get a job with that haha. My question is, is it luck? How do people become reviewers, producers, and other "ins" in the music industry?

No idea why they had to throw in I'll Be Waiting on a 12 track album. Its already on jukebox that anyone can buy. Its a fine song but why just throw that on there

Jorn has one of the best voices of all time IMO. It's so unqiue. However, its easy to get tired of his music when he pumps out a new album every year instead of taking time to write and compose properly. ISSA has done the same thing

But to me, it shouldn't matter what country you are from. If music is good, it is good right?

It doesn't make sense to me, if a band is good and produces good music, then it should be played the same across the world? For example: Noiseworks, big in Australia, not anywhere else, but yet INXS can? FM big in England, Europe, not in America Dan Reed network, semi big in America, bigger in Europe, yet American band? Harem Scarem should of been HUGE across the entire world, but only i

Im actually VERY disappointed. Aside from What The Hell, White Knuckle Ride, Saviour, and I'm not there, the rest of the songs are just meh. A big step down in my opinion since the first one had only 1 or 2 bad songs. This has 7-8

So in your opinion, what albums do you think have a great atmosphere? Meaning sound, tone, mood, something you can't really explain but is good at making you feel immersed, with imagery as its being played. For example: Enya's Storms in Africa makes me imagine being in the plains of Africa with storms in the distance. (It just does!) It just has some sound I can't put my finer on! For me:

While I love melodic rock, I also love me some metal. Not talking about Iron Maiden (While I like them), I am talking about newer metal. Melodic Death Metal. Bands like Soilwork, and other bands that would be at Wacken, Download, Rockstar Mayhem, etc
