You sure can, especially if it's an official release. It may not be the purity of the actual CD, but it sure as heck gives a really good guideline. All the song previews are terrible in production.

Well, I for one, who have always loved KISS, have never seem them as anything other than a brand, so I'm actually seriously interested in seeing the idea of the "band brand" continue on without any original members. I actually like the idea of more new music coming out and maybe the "new" members will bring techniques of interest to the table. Of course, if it all fails, t

This got me looking online for opinions on the word "filler" in the context of an album. http://www.metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=94819 "I've been reading a number of reviews and have come across this word quite frequently. "Filler", as reviewers commonly use it doesn't exist. They are merely songs that you don't like. In order for a song to quali

Sad but true. I have loved everything they've done, but Simplicity is just boring. And while it sucks to get a bad album, every band has at least one...the problem is, with only recording 3 albums in the last 20 years, THAT makes for a long wait for the next one to hopefully come out better.

You are kidding right? Because song 10 is the "final" real album song? No way a band recorded out of order right?

And in these cases I would always just re-add the EP songs (because they most likely recorded them during the same sessions as the album anyway), and add them to the full album.

I want as many songs as possible. I find it hillarious how so many people tend to think that just because an album has more than 10 songs that half MUST be fillers.... There are loads of long albums with all great songs, and there are even more albums that are short with all crap songs. Plus, personal opinions on songs will sway what people think of the exact same albums. At the end o

I absolutely loved the song Devil's Daughter and have been waiting for the full EP to come out. Any updates? There is nothing on the StephenChesney.com website.

With all the drama going on in RATT (if there is ever a time they aren't overly dramatic), I keep reading that they "were" recording a new album, and that "they have one more album under contract", the inevitable question is, does anyone know or have an update on whether a new album is on the horizon despite the issues?

Hope this counts: Van Halen - Poundcake (the Drill)....it's not an instrument at all, so it's a sound effect. Megadeth - Burnt Ice Savatage - Skraggy's Tomb (unkorking bottle)

Yeah, me too. I was just going to post asking about the quality of these Rock Candy remasters. I love Ratt, but is this really worth it? We dont have samples.

Fortress is simply an amazing album, by far the best from Alter Bridge. I only discovered them myself earlier this year.

How can he release it without permission? Gary recorded the actual Van Halen version as an unreleased (but recorded) bonus on VHIII called "That's why I love You". It's a great Gary song, too bad no perfectly clean version has ever been released.

how to like a band and not buy an album? Easy...you hear a million songs on the Radio, or MTV, or Toronto Rocks....that is of course, for all of us who were around back in the 70's/80's when these things played rock on TV and Radio and we watched daily. Also, back in the "day"...you might have some albums and your buddies have others, and you sat around listening to each others albu

It's an amazing album. I disagree with poster above on No Guts album..that was fantastic. I think it isn't geting as much attention as the past two because, though amazing, it's still too much exactly like the last two albums. They need to throw in a couple of slightly more "out there" songs to make it a bit more unique and fresh for the general public.

The best way for me to describe Native Tongue is to liken it to Motley Crue's Corabi album. Both are actually really great albums...but neither fit in to the history of the bands. I listen to Native Tongue...but never while listening to any other Poison album. On the other hand, Crack a Smile was an amazing return to form, with a new guitarist. Frankly, I really wish they had done one mor

That's a damn good idea to do refunds. I'd be right ticked to go to a BonJovi show and find out there is no Richie. Without Richie, it's not BonJovi. Maybe if it was earlier in their career and we had time to get used to it, but now, forget any chance at that.

There is simply no way that the worse selling VH album of all time, by a LONG shot is all of a sudden #2 on any list. With two albums with over 10 Million sold, and countless others all above the 4 million mark, it's just not likely to be even close to a statistical slip. Not by a long shot.

It's not that it affects my desire to check out the album. Like I said, I make my own decisions on what I like or not, regardless of the reviews. It's more like when someone says..."don't think of your grandmother having sex".... Even though you don't want to, THAT image is now in your head, even if you don't want it to be. Know what I mean? LOL.

It's got to be between: Van Halen - FUCK or Balance Savatage - Edge of Thorns And other than that, nothing has hit me as hard in sonically loving an album until Testament's Dark Roots of the Earth

Yes and No. I'd say views/reviews/gossip tend more to "scar" my own impressions, even after the fact. I decide if I like something, however I do get some images in my head that will never leave me, 20 years later even. And that bothers me. That is the main reason that I don't read reviews ahead of time.
