I found the midnight oil tour irrelevant. He could go out and play some dates. He ran for office. He even got his philosophy degree. Doesn't change the fact that he had no idea that he was an icon in a country of 40 million 1/2 way around the world. People love to shit on Cinderella stories. Me, I like to believe there's a pun-kin coach headed down the road to pick me up at any minute....lol

I don't know much about any of the stories or the artist. I enjoyed the movie and made no claim to it's authenticity. That's the beauty of art and news ...everyone gets to have their own opinion. I do take some issue with the dates on the bottom of the article you posted. A documentary film about an early 70's Detroit, inner city musical poet. A real life Cinderella story. See it if you can. I'd love to read some opinions but to me it was a beautiful story of art, triumph, humility and grace. (I'm only commenting on the movie, I have yet to learn much about the artist)
