The Geoff-Tate fronted version's home page has just been changed: http://www.queensryche.com/ I haven't seen details of a settlement, but it looks good for the Wilton/Rockenfield/Jackson version, at least from a naming perspective. Great album last year and looking forward to more from them!

Explains why I've never heard of them. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the CD format, but limiting distribution is not the answer.

Newest album, Bookmarks, is well worth a listen if you like the older stuff: What If - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhzk7ghfpys Heaven Knows - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idN7I7qEt6E I bought it on Amazon when it came out - they were running a special at the time for about $5.00 USD. It's quite good if you're a fan already.

The former lead singer of The Academy Is... released his first full-length solo album in late 2013 - really good melodic pop album. Check out Benny & Joon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hMDsiF2zS0

Actually, I don't think the book is out yet. I haven't seen it sold anywhere, though I'm sure I'll pick it up as soon as it's released. The album's not bad either. :) Shoot Out The Lights was a nice compilation of interviews with the band members and others that was set up chronologically by album. Well worth reading if you're a fan of the band.

I love Westworld and Tony Harnell, but this one always gets me: Don't make me look It's just too glorious Don't make me try It's too laborious

I would add to the "must have" list: The Wild, The Willing & The innocent (1981) Obsession (1978) No Place to Run (1980) Mechanix (1982) I agree that Lights Out was their masterpiece, but WWI is not too far off.

Could it be Ashes in the Sky by Loudness? Not an instrumental, but the rest kind of matches the description. Can't find the official video, but this is out there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5yMKdNUGEw

One that I mis-heard as a kid was Creedence Clearwater Revival's - "there's a bathroom on the right" (Bad Moon Rising)
