hate getting a hard-to-find cd off Amazon and finding it to be a CD-R despite nothing whatsoever in the product description saying that is what it is. several refunds requested because of this.

got into it via dad's LP collection. the stuff he bought he liked (Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Hollies etc etc) and the stuff he bought and did not like (Crosby Stills & Nash, Poco, Gram Parsons) If it plucks a heart chord i'm usually in for the long haul.

the album, like 'We Can't Dance', was simply too long. victim of that late eighties to late nineties era when CD's had to be overlong due to their length. does not feel like a proper Genesis album either, more like a Tony and Mike album with vocalist, ala 'A Curious Feeling' (Tony) and 'Smallcreep's Day' (Mike). plus, it's a very cold album, appreciably harder to enjoy than the previous three stu

the name and logo was given to people who dropped and smashed it. I don't hold out much hope for people being compensated. I prefer to not think of the whole debacle as MRF but rather a sequel to the Kiss Konvention w/ Peter Criss. same people presenting both, punters forked out a lot and were left without what was promised, bands not paid etc etc. a dog's breakfast.

not a bad line-up but i'm so glad i'm not going. in contact several times a day... more... with a couple of friends down in Melbourne and they really are knackered with the ongoing drama.

minutes later... XYZ cancelled... To all good people of Australia, we are heartbroken beyond words really, but due to the great uncertainty surrounding our Australian tour scheduled to start these next few days, and also due to last minute cancellations, changes of venues, vanishing of headliners, bands dropping out, and very little hope in sight, we have opted to stay home here in California
