If the content is live archival material, then that means it was shot in standard def. It's probably 4x3 as well, which means a squarish image instead of a rectangle. There's no reason to release a DVD quality picture on Blu-ray. It's a waste of money. When you release that material on the cheaper DVD, the picture is already the best it can possibly look. Hey guys, sorry for the late response. I didn't see this thread until just now. It is my understanding that sites like Amazon have worked out special deals with the postal service because they ship in bulk, hundreds of items a day. They can also suck up a portion of the postage because they're making millions of dollars and they can afford it, and it gives them an edge over their competition
