Superb effort Andrew!! Delighted you are putting more emphasis on reviews as this is what got me hooked on this music in the first place. Couldn't tell you how many great albums I've bought through reading your reviews. Could count on the fingers of one hand those I thought weren't up to the high score of your review. Ian.

Quick heads up. GB was unable to finish his gig in swansea last night due to chest infection. Better check with venue to see if upcoming gigs still going ahead.

I guess I'm in the philistine ranks as I don't think I have a good ear for some of the stuff some of you guys hear. I blame Garry Moore on the wild frontier tour. Too bloody loud!!! I also have mild tinnitus as someone mentioned earlier. Is it something as simple as poor hearing? Ian

Wow a year already!! My favourite MR singer by far! Sadly missed but the voice will always live on. So glad I got to see him live at FF. Was so gutted when I read the news on here of his passing. Always seemed to be a nice guy whenever I read an interview with him. Going to put a CD on later probably Vital Signs.

Totally agree with Totobob. An excellent band and surely must be one of the best tribute bands. Would highly recommend anyone to go see their show

I don't think it's a case of being happy. It just seems that the promoters of this tour have neglected a huge part of the country. In fairness there are plenty of dates much like tours used to be. However, to neglect

Nice to see South Wales and west well catered for! Unbelievable! North west looks well over saturated to me. Fed up of travelling to see acts several hundred miles away. Would love to see this but will give it a miss.

Love a lot of the Floyd stuff. Not particularly keen on Syd era. The Floyd I Like is the Gilmour/Waters era. However, I am not too keen on Gilmour's Floyd. Loved Roger Waters Floyd input and the majority of his solo material. Gilmour has come up with several of the all time classic guitar solo's and Comfortably Numb is the finest of the lot. Was lucky enough to be at O2 when Gilmour played th

Also spent 3 days at firefest and really enjoyed. Caught nearly all bands. Thought heat & D2 were best of shows. No one was very poor and thought all appeared to enjoy the event. If it is to be the last one I think it's going to be a big loss for the scene. Most bands couldn't do a tour on their own and the festival is a great way to get in front of people.

Picked my daughter and her friend up from school today. They are both 15. Had Night Ranger on in car, Time Of Our Lives. Daughter's friend says "that's a good song, who is it"? Didn't know who Night Ranger were but said if One Direction sang that it would be a huge hit. And I think she might be right. What songs do other posters think could be hits, and for who, having largely passed

Very sad news. Really late getting into Survivor but was looking forward to seeing them in London. Jimi was a fantastic singer.

Went to the London show on Friday. Have to say I think this band are fantastic. Great energy and more importantly seriously good songs. Shame about the sound issue towards the end as it did slightly derail the momentum. However, it was still a great night and a very good positive crowd. The band seemed to thrive off the crowd reaction. Looking forward to Firefest!!!

Hi Brett5150, Had alook through my lists for RAW magazine, but it seems I stopped collecting them early 1993. Got 275+ early Kerrang, 45+ Raw, 45+ Metal Hammer, 100+ Classic Rock and other assorted Rock Mags. Did try several years ago to keep a spread sheet with info on each magazine. I don't think it's bang up to date now but fairly accurate. Ian

Pretty much agreed with original post. Sound wasn't great. WET were excellent as were Harem Scarem. Enjoyed Work of Art, but thought they were better last year.Don't know much about The Magnificent or Dare but enjoyed both. Edens Curse didn't like, though they did improve towards the end of their set. Gutted to be missing today as there are a couple of bands I wanted to see. At least I got

Was also at the show last night. Fourth time seeing the show, the others being in 2011. Quite simply the best show you could see. The sound system alone would put every other major act to shame. I don'think you could Youtube it and even come close to the quality of it. If you are anywhere near the last couple of shows this week and you have a chance to go, please take it as I don't think this wil

Bit late to the topic. Loved Schenker back in the day. Got the old albums on vinyl in the attic. Must say it was always MSG2 for me followed by debut then Budokan. Not fussed on much after that but odd good track here and there. Ian
