Bit late to the topic. Loved Schenker back in the day. Got the old albums on vinyl in the attic. Must say it was always MSG2 for me followed by debut then Budokan. Not fussed on much after that but odd good track here and there. Ian

Got to say I thought FM were outstanding last night. I can't say I am too familiar with their back catalogue but i enjoyed every song. Sound quality was superb and musicianship was very good. Ian

As a Kiss fan, nothing could beat the original band. When they were all pulling in the same direction they were at their best. However I am more on the side of a Gene & Paul than Ace and Peter. You can only give some people so many chances and I think Ace and Peter have had their chances. Musically Ace & Peter were not up to the job on the reunion and their performances on the whole were p

It's great to hear other parents with children like my early-teenage daughter who like our type of music. I think if it's a good tune it's a good tune you know?! Harry Hess is my daughters current favourite, but she likes a wide variety of my music. Still likes the standard girly stuff mind you and has a really good knowledge of her music. And to be fair I like some of her stuff as well, thoug

Good evening all. I am sure I am not alone on this, but i really do hate travelling to see gigs. Unfortunately for major artists it is usually Birmingham for me unless Cardiff gets something decent. However I have noticed that some artists are starting to skip there as well. I am quite envious of the fans who live in the midlands when it comes to choice of gigs that is! I live close to the coa

I was lucky enough to see three shows last year, two at London O2 and one in Bimingham NIA. Went with a mate for the London shows and with my wife to Birmingham. The show is on such a grand scale it's hard to convey just how good it is. Having seen Roger several times over the years I have to say that his sound system is the best I have ever heard. Gilmour played one of the London shows I was at

Is it 70 odd caps for England?!! Quite poor scoring record for a centre forward as well. Made a bloody good living from the game with very very limited talent. I could run faster than him now and i am 47! Always looked scared stiff and about to burst into tears at any moment! Ian

Really looking forward to the show in Pontypridd. For £12.50 you can't stay at home for that!! After asking for some Ten album info a couple of weeks ago I got Babylon and Stormwarning. Babylon is a really strong album with great guitar sound. Stormwarning is growing on me with a few very good tracks in the middle of the album. Don't know too much about Serpentine or White Widdow other tha

Is it an age thing or does Classic Rock seem to be hitting the mat quicker now than it used to? Don't get a chance to finish earlier issues! I must say I do woner why I still subscribe because there is an awful amount of crap in it these days! My opinion of course! Ian

As a Welshman I probably have no right in criticising England's football team and managerial appointment; but here goes! I think a little perspective is required. England haven't looked like winning any tournament in my 40 years as a football fan. With the odd exception, the players are at best average footballers, many lacking the skill levels and technique of their international rivals and

Never purchased any of the "Fan Packs" but the AOR mags on their own are usually about £8 aren't they? Rush seem to be a bit of a cash cow for Classic Rock. I subscribe to Classic Rock but I have no admit the standard has been on the downslope for a couple of years. Ian

Thanks to eveyone for replying. I think I will have a fair amount of listening enjoyment over the next couple of months. Gary 191265, rumbled me from the off!! Seriously though would never want to go down the route that's just been trodden!! I think a lot of what went on last couple of days went over my head and probably pre-dated my first visit to the site. I found it quite uncomfortable i

Hi 2112, What I have listened to so far has been very encouraging. I know it's not everyone's favourite but You Tube has been great for me when trying out some of the bands who regularly feature on MR. Going through some of the old reviews has also been worthwhile. Ian

Cheers Robert. General consensus is to start at the begining and stop after 5 and then jump to last one with live album thrown in for good measure! My intention this year was to catch up on all the Firefest bands so that I have some knowledge when I see them. I think it could be an interesting year and deep pockets are needed! Thanks again, ian
