Saw this and thought it quite apt considering a lot of recent conversations on the board. ELVENKING UK SHOWS CANCELED We are sorry to announce we won’t be able to play the UK shows as planned, for reasons that go beyond our will and control. Unfortunately the promoters didn’t show any respect and/or any kind of professional behaviour to us. These shows had already been canceled in Septe

Sad to say that was exactly the reason I stopped subscribing to it as well. Way too small a font and at times not enough contrast between the colours. Shame because it was a really great magazine and I really enjoyed reading it.

Just because the guy keeps it low key does not detract from his talents. I've seen him perform live a number of times and he really is a talented musician. Most favourite show of his has to be the gig he did in Newcastle when he was on tour with Ric Sanders from Fairport, truly magical night.

The band's Only Foolin' Ep has just come out and is really good value with 9 songs on in total. They have a new album out soon as well which promises to be a solid release. On another note, caught them last night in Middlesbrough supporting Thin Lizzy and they were great, well worth checking out if not on this tour then their headliner tour in March.

If Carsten "Lizard" Schulz took over as vocalist for EC that would be like a wet dream come true. A hugely talented and very underrated singer. I think he'd fit in perfectly.

We've just reviewed this album if anyone wants to read what we thought of it, you can find it here - www.themayfairmallzine.com (: All I can say is as a lifelong fan of the band, I am definitely not disappointed in the least with this latest release. In fact I'd go as far as to say it's their strongest for a good number of years.

We're really gutted that Marco and Eden's Curse have parted ways as we thought he was a breathe of fresh air to the band, such a lovely guy and a great performer. No ego what-so-ever which was really refreshing. We wish him every success for the future and look forward to hearing a lot more from Eden's Curse and Marco in the future, all be it seperately now.

I've heard the whole album and can confirm it's awesome, best rock opera since War of the worlds (imho). Check out 'Lovin' The Alien' if you're a Bowie fan, this is the sort of stuff he wished he was still doing! Each songs sounds different though so dont think if you dont like Bowie you'll not enjoy the album. It flows really well and theres a lot of songs that sounds great on their own t

Last night's show was tremendous, with all three bands really pulling out the stops to wow the extremely packed and extremely hot crowd. Well worth the money. If you get the chance to catch the bands on tour then go see them, you'll not be disappointed. Great to see so many people turn out to catch these bands in action.

This triple MR tour starts tonight in Sheffield at the Corporation, tickets are a bargain price of 12.50, everyone's always twisting about the lack of decent MR bands touring so who's coming? We recently interviewed founding member Gareth Vanstone to find out how the pre-tour preps are going, if you're interested in reading what he had to say you can find it here - www.themayfairmallzine.com.

Last nights show up in Glasgow was immense, I felt like I was 20 years younger again. The guys were on fire and they had the crowd from the off. Really enjoyed Romeo's Daughter as well and look forward to hearing their new album when it comes out. Hope they do a bigger tour later this year with a lot more dates on it as I'd definitely go to see them again.
