No Sweat - 1990 self-titled. It can easily be snagged for 5 or 6 bucks(or even a buck in a pawn shop like I did) on Flea Bay, but don't let the lack of demand fool you...it's worth a couple of listens.

There was a metal band out of San Francisco around '83 called Tsunami. They had a self-titled album on Enigma; I've listened to all of the tracks, but none of the tracks were instrumentals. I don't ever recall seeing a video from them. Metal was in limited rotation on MTV during 82-83; bands I do remember seeing included Vendetta and Tygers Of Pan Tang.

This is definitely not melodic rock, but it was a big college rock and top 30 hit during '88... The Church - Under The Milky Way I want to say that Rod Stewart had one that qualifies. It's been a while since I've heard the studio version, but I remember the music video for his early 80's remake of "All Right Now" had a bagpipe ensemble marching into the arena at the beginning. Per

It must be Aldo Nova's "Fantasy" - "Life is just a fantasy, can you live on this fantasy island?" Or maybe Sleeze Beez's "Screwed Blued And Tattooed?" I can't think of any others - certainly no songs from January 2012 come to mind :^)
