Collective Soul are one of my favorite bands. I have seen them live on several occasions. The best was when they played a casino show in St. Louis on the "Afterwards" tour. The venue was quite small. It was like watching a concert in your living room! Looking forward to their cd this summer along with the new Better than Ezra cd!

At the Def Leppard Hysteria tour stop in St. Louis back in '88 one of my friends got so trashed that he passed out by the time Leppard took the stage. He even threw up and urinated at his seat. After the show, we got outside to discover that it had snowed about 4 inches so I had to drive about 60 miles in a blizzard (I was sober). Another fond memory is getting up at 4 am to wait in line for H

Saw him live, once opening for Richard Marx and once where he headlined and he always put such energy into his shows and looked like he was having so much fun on stage. I could see where performing is his therapy.

Shooting Star has always had a big fan base in St. Louis due in large part to local rock station KSHE 95. I caught their "Farewell Tour" back in '87 at the Westport Playhouse in STL.

More rockin than country. Even has a cool slide guitar/piano solo at the end. More Springsteen than Strait. Love his first cd can't wait for the new one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crm84Pr6haE

I saw them in St. Louis on this tour and I got to shake Ross' hand as he was sneaking down to the soundboard during Def Leppards' set.

Has anybody mentioned the economy? People only have a certain amount of discretionary income to spend on entertainment whether that be cd's, concerts, sporting events or movies and that amount has been shrinking as a percentage of one's income. This causes people to seek out free entertainment such as Spotify, Pandora etc..

I have noticed that there aren't as many $3.99 new releases as there used to be. Maybe the labels are resisting going with those deep discounts on release day?

Not too bad. Kinda has a country boogie feel to it. BTW-Saw Sammy this past Saturday in St. Louis. The guy still has it but I wish the set list could have dug a little deeper into his career (Your Love is Driving Me Crazy, 5150, Both Sides Now etc. would have been nice). The setlist was basically the same as the Halleluiah Live cd.

According to the new Entertainment Weekly regarding his new album Fuse, "The idol judge citifies his sound, enlisting producers like Butch Walker (Pink) and Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift) and even adding some electronic touches." Could be interesting as long as he doesn't go too far pop. I would hate for his guitar playing to be stifled. BTW if you get a chance to see Keith live, do i

Been a reader since the late 90's as well. Being a huge Journey fan, I was ecstatic to be turned onto the first Hugo cd. It was a nice stopgap during Journey's hiatus.
