Not sure if this was posted before but back in May REO and Imagine Dragons mashed up "Roll With the Changes" on Jimmy Kimmel. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/watch-imagine-dragon-reo-speedwagon-form-temporary-supergroup-on-kimmel-20150508

Florida Georgia line is the country version of Nickelback. Critic slam them because they don't sound "country" enough but I enjoy their mix of country, rock and even shades of hip hop/rap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQfP1lcJ_eo

You could include most guitar solos in 90 percent of contemporary country songs (Aldean, Chesney, Church etc.).

When I was a kid and in Catholic School, a priest played "Rebel Son" by Survivor during a homily at one of our school masses. I don't remember how he related it to his homily though.

"Your Love is Driving Me Crazy" by Sammy Hagar. One of his biggest hits but does he ever add it to his live shows? You can also quite a bit of the 80's era Heart. Seems like they try to distance themselves from that period.

Agree with Guiffria "Guiffria" and I would add Steve Perry's "For the Love of Strange Medicine". Love Perry's voice and the first single "You Better Wait" but the rest is just dull.

I was at my alma mater, The University of Missouri, a few years back and they performed a tribute to Journey during halftime of a football game. Not as cool as this video but still very enjoyable.

Do you know of anybody named after a musician or a band? I have a student this year whose name is Journey and yes, her folks named after the band!

Survivor was my very first concert so they will always hold a special place in my heart. Saw them on the When Seconds Count tour. Also caught them back in the 90's at a Roctoberfest celebration in Columbia, MO. Sad News.

Agree about "Face the Promise". As a matter of fact his past couple of albums had way too much filler. Fortunately, the 3 songs I have heard live on youtube that are on the new cd have that classic Seger sound.

It seems that Sammy's solo and Chicken foot albums are missing some of the great hooks that his older material had.

I saw him last summer in St. Louis. All lawn seats were free but it was set up where one could donate money to four different charities for the tickets. I have seen him several times over the years as part of Van Hagar and solo and he always puts on a great show.

What a fantastic show. His songs take on a harder edge live especially with his awesome guitar playing. The highlight was when he took to a stage constructed in the lawn area for a 4 song set. I have never seen another artist do this at that venue before

They remind me a bit of Staind frontman Aaron Lewis' country stuff. They have an ep on Amazon. http://www.blackwaterbride.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkFS6fsvT3k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky986iL-wYw

Saw them open for Sammy Hagar last summer and they really rocked. I didn't even know any of their songs yet I really enjoyed it. Their lead singer has a great live voice as evidenced by the cd.

The way he did his dance moves on stage would lead me to believe that his hip is ok.
