Saw them opening for AC/DC 1988 and it was awesome! Fast forward many years / gigs: Last time I saw them infront of 300 people in 2007 and it was just sad: Don looked very bored, fat and most likely drunk or hang-overed. The voice of Don was already very bad 9 years back! === Dokken would not pull more than about 200 people here in Germany in 2016 as the damaged voice and Don's ever shown displ

Was also interested in this as I have the first (only) album like everbody should. But... oh well: thanks for the warning. Would really like to have this in good quality: "You and Me in the Night" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55VXMYRkLqQ Interesting discussion below: One guy sends back the new CD because "IT SOUNDS LIKE SHIT!"

Oh I miss the time when on a few occasions they (in the US and very seldom here in Germany) were given out promo LP covers in record stores so I could decorate my room! Can remember I got KIX "Midnight dynamite" / Ted Nugent "Intensities" and others...

Released today! Diamond Head Streaming Self-Titled Album for example here: http://www.metalunderground.com/news/details.cfm?newsid=122799 The new singer sounds (a little) like Sean Harris and I really dig how Brian made the album sounds (a bit) like "Borrowed time" and "Canterbury". Just listen to "Silence": Just awesome! Thumbs up from myself: A great a

@ Big Al: I apologise for my choice of words. Would you rather prefer: "She has been Tarja'd out of her own band by a mad husband!"? PS: Axel Krull is f****d without her! Leaves Eyes without Liv just does NOT work at all! She IS the face / the voice of this band! Writes the lyrics. Does all interviews and basically the spokesperson. Look at all those (CD) covers where SHE is a

Thats pretty tough: To be thrown out of your own band! LEAVES' EYES was her baby built up with her (ex? soon I suppose...) husband Alex Krull who remains in the band and they have a replacement already. Liv seems to me a very kind down to earth caring person (as I have witnessed on some occasions) and they have a son together living here in Germany. So All the best to Liv and looking fo

Recently the (in my opinion) bad habit of selling more expensive tickets as "golden circle" for the front rows in Germany was started. (Ok it has been done before under different names) I saw it at the Scorpions tour last month and see it now at the Status Quo (Last of the electrics) tour this fall: 99 Euro if you want to be at the front and 69 Euro for a "normal" ticket (abou

The song is called "The Devil Of Shakespeare" and was (only) released with the book (with the very same title) by Billy McCarthy in 2004 already. (The CD was in inside the book and fits the mood of the novel perfectly!) It is a very cool song which I liked a lot back then and still do. The Enuff Z'Nuff connection is Chip plays bass on the song (Billy played Drums for D'Molls back i

From me: A "yes"! All CDs for 10 bucks?!? Get it man! (you can even discuss a discount minus 2 dollars cos you didnt want the shitty LA Guns disc!) Some cool stuff (also some crap later I have to confess) from Cherry St. over the years. Confusing line up story. The original demo in the late 80ies long before the first album came out was cool!(Today most won't like it as for the

For todays battle another evergreen was chosen: "Rock'n'Roll Outlaw" the first song of the first (selftitled) album by Australian legends ROSE TATTOO 1978. (The album was released as Rock ’n’ Roll Outlaw or Rock ’n’ Roll Outlaws actually in some countries) US singer (living in Germany I guess?) HELEN SCHNEIDER did a cover of the song renamed as "Rock ’n’ Roll Gi

Have been looking for this album for years even in Tokyo! Unsucesfully... (Seems like the holy grail as rarities I guess...) Then finally in 2012 Robby Lane from this very board mailed me the whole album!! (Still thankful: Are you still out there?) Here's "Miles Away" from Steffanie's Album "Pink Noise" (Warner Brothers 1986) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LD8g6X_xd4

Guys: I just don't get it! I have been collecting Japanese Bands and music since the 80ies: first of course Loudness, Bow Wow (Vow Wow), X Japan, Anthem etc. Later Show Ya, B'z etc. Then after I was in Japan I became a big fan of Aikawa Nanase. (her guitar player later was Marty Friedman) and I probably have about 10 cds of Mari Hamada alone. Then when the visual kei movement came up I

Not wanting to correct you (Timstar) but coming from Germany I can assure you the version here is without those two (bonus) Tracks. I had the original 1981 version and when I was in the US in 1984 to my surprise I got a copy of the LP with the two bonus tracks (= US Remix version)

I think with "old" you mean "over 50"? Ok so then I am saying Rob Rock still hits the high screams like 25 years ago. Joey Tempest still sounds great on record AND live! Michael Sweet +1 John Bush still going strong! (Like 30 years ago!) All of them ( to my knowledge?) do not smoke...

Killer album! Had a Metal Church "XI" session with a friend yesterday! ( And we put "Blessing in disguise" after it too! as my request) Really great tracks, the Metal Church trademark sound (of old) and some headbanging stuff there! Yeah! Will go see them live next month!

... which might interest other MAGNUM fans too: Al: Do you agree "Don't grow up" is too good to be only a "Bonus track" not even released as audio but only on the DvD? I know it may not fit (lyrically) into the 10 "main" songs of the new album but imho is a strong song! (?) Good luck for the tour!

An absolutely awful German indie band called MIA (or Mia.). I tell you I dont make this up: I walk past by the venue and some guy outside shouting "Who wants a free ticket?" (Should have made me sceptical...) but made the big mistake taking it and witnessed probably the worst of all shitty bands pretending to perform ever and left after three songs! She isnt even pretty! And consequentl
