Following on from Jamesrock's question, can Kieran / Bruce / anyone confirm whether Last Autumn's Dream were ever approached / considered for Firefest ? They seem to be one of the most prolific bands in the genre in terms of their album output over the last 10 years and I would have thought their style would have fitted very well. Paul

Another fabulous line-up overall. Thanks so much to Kieran, Bruce and the whole team for managing to put together another awesome weekend for us to enjoy. Personally, Babylon AD is a true bucket list band for me - never thought I would get to see them and cannot wait to rectify that in October. Also really looking forward to seeing Tower City, CITA and Brother Firetribe for the first time.

As always, interesting to hear the conflicting opinions over who people felt were good / bad / indifferent....as Kieran often says, the world would be a very boring place if we all liked the same thing and the beauty of Firefest is that there is almost always something for everyone. I thought Eclipse were the best opener of any day of any of the 10 Firefests personally. Despite not looking old

The strongest line-up overall of any FF to date in my opinion, making choosing just 5 very difficult, but I would go with... 1. Lillian Axe 2. Tyketto 3. Ten 4. Danger Danger 5. Royal Hunt Can't wait for the 10th anniversary show in 2013 !!!

Totally agree Woody - and anyone who has ever been to any of the previous HRH weekenders will know how well organised things are. I would rather have a delay in making an accurate announcement of bands who have signed on the dotted line than an early announcement of bands that haven't and subsequently pull out....now that does nothing for a promoter's brand / credibility. Am really looking

Would love to join in - in the recent Euros I picked a team for a girl at work who said she had no idea about footie or any of the players - and it promptly thrashed the team I had picked for myself using all the skill and knowledge accumulated from several seasons of playing various fantasy footie games....D'Oh !!!

I bought the Lillian Axe one and was so impressed have ordered four more. Was a little sceptical as to what the quality would be like, but based on the one I have received so far, it's as good as anything you would normally get at a gig / webstore, hence my further order. Paul

When they did "Don't Stop The Sandman" as part of the Loud N Clear set at Firefest a few years ago, it was a great bit of fun, but totally agree with the other posters that a whole album is too much and the novelty has worn thin very quickly. What I find most sad is that there seems to be more of a market for this than any new original material for a band as talented as Loud N Clear.

Personally speaking, I think this is the best Firefest line-up ever. Getting to see Lillian Axe again after all this time is worth the ticket price alone. They have always been one of my favourite bands and even though Ron won't be on vocals, the quality of the songs will still shine through. And a hugely welcone return for Ten too. Fabulous job Kieran and co....just one moan....when the

Thanks for posting this link. I remember seeing Brian Spence support Skagarack at the original Marquee in London and "Brothers" is still one of my favourite albums. Definitely echo the calls to see Mr Spence at Firefest !!
