Sad that it appears more people here give a shit. Magellan is a great band. Trent Gardner is still going to go ahead with the new cd. I found Magellan (or is it Magellan found me?) after I bought the Explorer's Club - Age of Impact cd because it had Steve Howe of Yes/Asia on it and I'll buy anything with Steve Howe playing on it. Explorers Club was the brainchild of the Gardners and had many peop

I'm no Kiss fan by any means but a version of Rock n Roll All Nite with Ace Frehley, Vinnie Vincent, Bruce Kulick and Tommy Thayer all trading solos would probably quite a sight.

If there's one thing I really dug on the re-records was the new acoustic instead of acapella version of Just What I Planned. I look forward to a brand new cd at some point.

Believe me, pick up the rest of them. The last 4 studio cd's (Weight of the World, Higher, Human Nature, Hope) are fucking amazing. A few of them got 100% from Andrew, I believe.

This conversation actually happened in a recording studio in NYC.... Tim: Hey Anthony, let me see your mp3 player. Anthony: Um...ok >Tim scrolls through the music, stops, looks up, looks down, looks up again with disbelief, then scorn, then incomprehension< Tim: Why the f**K do you have Spice Girls on this? Anthony: Nothing wrong with Spice Girls! Tim: Dude, the list goes

"Drummer Darren Smith of Canadian metallers WARMACHINE has been named the lead vocalist for JAKE E. LEE'S RED DRAGON CARTEL, the band led by former OZZY OSBOURNE and BADLANDS guitarist Jake E. Lee. JAKE E. LEE'S RED DRAGON CARTEL, which references the axeman's Japanese roots, also features Ronnie Mancuso (BEGGARS & THIEVES) on bass and Jonas Fairley (BLACK BETTY) on drums."

Winery Dogs does sound great but I hope Kotzen doesn't get devoured being stuck in between the massive egos of Sheehan and Portnoy. Far as AMob, this will be Portnoy's legacy. Leaving one band for another, just like the proggers of old.

Steve Walsh did a John Elefante tune on the Kansas 30th Anniversary dvd but I've no idea if that was a one time occurrence or a regular thing. Jon Anderson of Yes had stated he was willing to do songs from Drama before Yes fired him from the band. He had 25 years of chances to do that so no idea if he would have.

Loved the first three cd's but Buzz pissed me off as I bought it blindly then found out Plunkett was the only original guy in the band. I also have Steve Lynch's solo cd which is pretty damn good for guitar junkies.

YES! Hope the douchebags on the R&RHOF committee knocked themselves silly banging their collective heads on a hard oak table over this. Alex flippin' them the bird like no one else can! Said it before, sayin' it again. the R&RHOF is a sham. Pure marketing with no love or respect of music.

Absotively! Know how I heard of them? I had just gotten MuchMusic as a channel on my cable TV so I'm seeing all these Canadian artists (I believe MUch had to dedicate a certain amount of time for them as edict from the Canadian government) and I'm just letting it play in the background because MTV had gone to shit and I hear 'No Justice" and went "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???" Mild curiosity and since the Harem Scarem forums have been dead for quite a long time (now there was a fun bunch of people) and short of asking Harry & Pete themselves perhaps Andrew can answer my question. Why is Barry Donaghy not part of the reunion? Maybe it's not an issue of no Michael Anthony in Van Halen proportions but I'm wondering why he's not there. Apparently, a gent named Stan

Honestly, all of Next Position Please is a hidden gem. However, one song I love that never made a CT album (even the box sets) that is the gemmiest of gems is Up The Creek from the movie of the same name. Conversely, The Doctor album is a horrible crime I choose to forget.

Oh Goddammit. Peter Banks was really good but in Yes-tory he was covered (and honestly, who wouldn't be) by the large, impending shadow of Steve Howe, one of the greatest guitarist of all time. I agree Time and a Word was a fantastic album. His solo stuff wasn't bad either. RIP, Peter.
