Dude - you rule. A while back I started a thread "songs to make u smile when life is shite". If it was "posters to make you smile when everything else is a bit crappy" you would be number one. :)

Tho I'm not a huge Kiss fan, this has been a very interesting thread, so thanks for that. Has given me a good idea where to start with Kiss (beyond Crazy Nights, Revenge and Sonic Boom, which is all I have of theirs). Cheers!

Ok. Explain to me the criteria for being in this, or any other, 'rock' chart. Don't see how you can define music in such a broad, generic way. Just my opinion. Obviously. :)

Great track (for what it is). Great album. Great band. Highly recommend the 'deluxe' version - has my favourite song of theirs, Private Parts, with James Michael http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CilYylaN6Pw And for what its worth, I love early Avril too. :)

Can't remember why I body swerved this when it came out (maybe I was in a huff that there was no new Little Angels material from Toby and co....) but revisited this yesterday and really like it. I like most of Gun's stuff - Gallus in particular is top drawer - but would have been interesting to see where they went with Toby after this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVSBIKTJ7zE And j

Not too much experience in this area, but the guys in Thunder were always great at meet and greets / signings back in the day. And the drummer from Ash is a friend of a friend, and has always been cool if we have crossed paths socially.

Should be a band I really like - and, to be fair, Last of the Runaways is pretty awesome - but I struggle a bit with the rest of their catalogue. Both Time to Burn and III have some tracks I really like (Stay and Oh Yeah are quality), but don't do it for me as a whole. And Terry Brock is a personal fave (the Slamer album is one of my all time top 10) but, again, a couple of good tracks aside, I

I always felt that Nirvana were the first band to successfully bring together the worlds of bubblegum pop and melodic rock. Or maybe it was Ylvis.

A good friend is going through a really shitty time at the moment, so I'm being really corny and putting together a playlist / mixtape of stuff that I hope will be positive / uplifting / life affirming. Any suggestions? I'm going to kick off with one of my favourite songs of the last few years (and maybe ever!) - Bowling For Soup's 'Turbulence' - as an example of the kind of thing I'm looking f

Free cds with magazines are usually pretty poor, and I dump them after one spin (apart form the venerable Fireworks of course) but I heard this on a recent freebie, and was well impressed.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIhDILaxLxw Not my usual cup of tea either.

I loves me Bon Jovi but some of their lyrics..... From "I heard your suitcase say goodbye" to all of "If I was your mother" (please tell me there's a deeper meaning to this that I've missed 'cos otherwise it is just 'eew').... I think this stands out for me more because they are a favourite band, and musically I like the tracks. But lyrically......
