I know its not country, but thought that was a bit pithier than "Keel goes a bit southern rock with some slight country influences at times". As I mentioned earlier, I've never really listened to Keel, but one of the online reviews (hardrockhaven) has certainly set me straight on the type of music I would have associated with the name - "Anyone who has followed Keel through the

Apologies if this has been discussed before - good stuff from Ron. I was never really into Keel, but his newest got a good write up in Fireworks, and what I've heard , I like... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4J9OyR8GQk

Don't know why it has taken me so long, but finally put the app on my ipad - and so far, so good. Very long playlist!! However, technology ain't my forte, so.... any advice for a spotify newbie? What's good? What's bad? Should i upgrade and pay? Or stick with the freebie? Any general advice on how to get the most out it? Any hints and tips much appreciated. :)

I wouldn't call Therapy? modern rock either to be honest - just the one album that arrived with a perfect sense of timing (Troublegum - which is a great album btw). Pretty different from the rest of their catalogue. Certainly wouldn't call the likes of Teethgrinder modern rock. If I think of modern rock, I tend to think of Nickelback, Shinedown, Halestorm, Theory of a Deadman, etc. Its one

The easy answer is listen to everything Jacob has ever done.... But if pressed, I would suggest start with the latest EP (Halfway to Hell) which is excellent, then work your way through the rest of the catalogue (maybe Tragic City Symphony, and Life in Reverse first - I love White Trash Superstar and Bling Bling, but wouldn't start with them). Then do Mars Electric's stuff - also awesome. An

Oh dear. Thought she had got this kinda crap out of her system with that awful boyfriend song. Obviously not. Particularly sad as album one was good, and two was great. Although three was pretty crappy, it looked she was almost back on track with four. On the basis of this, new album five is probably best avoided.....

Really disappointed - not that they sacked him, it clearly wasn't working, but because I had thought he was perfect for the job. But as time went on it became clear he was struggling. Don't think he has picked the same side two games in a row, and it looks like he had lost the players. Still don't understand why he spent 37 million on a player, only to play him out of position. Not the first t

Great track from a great band. Everything he does is top drawer though. (Speaking of which, anyone know if Adler is still a going concern - be a shame if they fell apart after one quality album....)

Dude - you rule. A while back I started a thread "songs to make u smile when life is shite". If it was "posters to make you smile when everything else is a bit crappy" you would be number one. :)

Tho I'm not a huge Kiss fan, this has been a very interesting thread, so thanks for that. Has given me a good idea where to start with Kiss (beyond Crazy Nights, Revenge and Sonic Boom, which is all I have of theirs). Cheers!

Ok. Explain to me the criteria for being in this, or any other, 'rock' chart. Don't see how you can define music in such a broad, generic way. Just my opinion. Obviously. :)

Great track (for what it is). Great album. Great band. Highly recommend the 'deluxe' version - has my favourite song of theirs, Private Parts, with James Michael http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CilYylaN6Pw And for what its worth, I love early Avril too. :)

Can't remember why I body swerved this when it came out (maybe I was in a huff that there was no new Little Angels material from Toby and co....) but revisited this yesterday and really like it. I like most of Gun's stuff - Gallus in particular is top drawer - but would have been interesting to see where they went with Toby after this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVSBIKTJ7zE And j

Not too much experience in this area, but the guys in Thunder were always great at meet and greets / signings back in the day. And the drummer from Ash is a friend of a friend, and has always been cool if we have crossed paths socially.
