Went to see it the other night. Very "adult" superhero movie which touched on a variety of topics from immigration to growing old. It was a good finale for the character, and much better than the previous two wolverine films. The bad guy was a bit crap, but definitely one of the better movies in the superhero genre. Yes it is quite violent in places!

Good song. Always had a soft spot for this band. Just hope they move away from the pop rock of the last album which was poor bar a few tracks.

Couldn't agree more about Kip Moore. Wild ones is a great rock album in my opinion and his gig in Dublin was one of the best I attended last year. Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley also worth checking out.

Basically if it rocks, and has melody I consider it melodic rock. I know Alter Bridge are hard rock, but this site has covered bands like Leverage, Jorn, and Queensryche who are hard rock. I see where you are coming from though.

Interesting Topic. If you are limiting the "Melodic Rock" genre to the type of bands signed by Frontiers then I would agree there has been generally average releases over the past couple of decades. I would consider melodic rock to cover bands like Nickelback, One less reason, Within temptation, Alter bridge, Halestorm, Matchbox twenty, and Shinedown. Has the output of melodic

I know NB get a lot of stick, and for me a lot of it is unwarranted as they have great songs in their catalogue. They have covered Don Henley's Dirty Laundry, and I think it is pretty good. More like the Nickelback of old and moving away from the pop rock direction of the last couple of albums. It is available on apple music, spotify etc for those interested.

Have only listened to it a couple of times, but I like what I hear. The songs are more aggressive than the last album, but there are great melodies as well. I really great this band as they are rarely disappoint, Saw them live last year and they were excellent.

I prefer onyx to war of angels but both are excellent albums. The new one is more of a mixed bag, and is "more pop" but still worth checking out.

Not a particularly strong year.

I was aware of Tremonti, but not that knowledgeable to be honest. Thought I would give the new album "dust" a try, and I am glad I did. It has the perfect mix of power and melody with the title track a particular favourite. One of the best albums of the year for me.

Alias for me tbh. Curci is one of the best vocalists around. Don't get me wrong, Waite is a great vocalist with his lyrics/phrasing/style, but the power and tone of Curci's voice seals it for me. I also felt there were 3/4 fillers on the Bad English debut, and when you compare it to the follow up Backlash it pales in comparison. Alias had standing in the dark, Haunted heart, and more

Definitely give kip Moore a listen especially "Wild ones". Real Springsteen vibe to his music. Other artists with a rock and roll element that I would recommend; Eric Church Brantley Gilbert Lee Brice Tim Hicks Dierks Bentley Chris Stapleton (amazing voice).

Twice now I have paid to travel to London to see him. Cancelled both times. I really like his music, but I won't be paying to see him live again unless it's nearer home. Very very disappointing.

Watched it last night. Excellent movie, and it had a reasonably dark tone for a marvel movie. Have to say the Russo brothers handled the action scenes and the sheer volume of characters very well. Could easily have been a mess.

So glad to see others from the board appreciate kip Moore as an artist. Been a fan since the first album, and got to see him in Dublin last week. Superb live performer, and his voice was note perfect. As a Jimmy eat world fan appreciated the cover of the middle. It was one of the best gigs I have witnessed in a while. Great set list performed with enthusiasm, and great interaction with the cr

Have to say I like apple's ecosystem. I do think they are pricey, but the convenience of accessing information/data/messages/mails/music etc on any apple device is brilliant. I have had a macbook & mac mini for over 3 years, and works same as the day I bought them. I have also found apples after care to be first rate as well, although i do accept others have had a different experien

Magic Mountain was a mixed bag, and has not stood the test of time too well. Kentucky is excellent particularly Way of the future, War, and Soul machine. Love how they incorporate southern rock, country, gospel, and those riffs into great songs. Contender for album of the year so far for me, and a great return to form.

I have listened to it a few times, and I have yet to make it to the end of the album. I really enjoyed "inside the vertigo" so hope this is a grower. The songs just have not grabbed me at all.

I have been a fan of this band for years now, but I was a bit worried about the new album when I heard the first song "The Broken". They seemed to be heading in the same pop rock direction the likes of Daughtry, Cavo and Nickelback have gone with their last albums. The full album has just dropped on iTunes, and thankfully it sounds pretty good to these ears. Great melodic rock songs i

I have been a Uk Seahawks fan since the 80s. I would love to see the Broncos win as it will probably be Manning's last game, but the panthers will steam roller them I expect. Cannot stand Cam Newton so I will be supporting Denver all the way.

Traveller is a good album and Chris' voice has a real raw rock element to it. Parachute is probably my favourite on the album. Booked tickets for the Dublin country to country festival as he is on the same bill as Eric Church. BTW Eric Church's new album is excellent. Worth checking out.
