The hatred for Nickelback has always baffled me as well. It basically comes down to being a victim of their own success. Due to the commercial songs and ballads that they write they get accused of being "sellouts","syrupy" etc. Bon Jovi went through the same thing and unfortunately it seems rock fans turn against bands once their fan base expands. To me if an artist writes son

The albums had a few spins over the last couple of days. I like the album a lot and the band have updated their sound since the last record. It has a more commercial sound with the massive hooks and the production which sounds great. Dark Horse is my favourite NB album and hands up the new one isn't as good, but I have always appreciated their song writing, and I think they will have a few hits wi

Attended all three days and I think it was definitely one of the best FF's. The quality of the live acts was very high in general and imho Boulevard was the band of the weekend. They had the best sound of the weekend and the performance was outstanding. DD, Firehouse, Brother firetribe and Babylon AD were great as well. I don't believe we have heard the last of FF but in case we have I jus

The new band is unlikely to top throwing copper but I am pleased to see them back. Some of the new tunes are very good imho. Time will tell if they stand the test of time.

Just realised that live are releasing a new album next week. The album is called the turn and the band has a new singer Chris Shinn. I have been impressed with the new material and singer and I am really looking forward to the new album. Throwing copper is one of my all time favourite albums and was gutted when the band went on what I thought was permanent hiatus. Glad the band are back stronger

One of my all time favourite AOR albums. Remember buying it in HMV on CD at an "import price" in the early 90's. Think it was £28 but worth every penny. Debut is a quality album too.

I have had a zeppelin for the past couple of years. It has apple's airplay which means once you have connected it to your wifi any airplay enabled device can stream to it. It then becomes a wireless speaker and I use my iPhone,iPad,laptop, itouch to stream to it. Spotify, iTunes, amazon music etc all work with it. Basically whatever app you use for your music on your airplay enabled mp3 play

Have to say I like the new songs that i have heard. It sounds like Nickelback and they have showcased their harder side and more commercial side with the new songs. Looking forward to the new album too. I think this song would be better without the audio add ons but they can't hide a good song.

Really impressed by the new tunes. Liking the mean and moodier TOAD. A real step up front the last album which was disappointing.

Sounds good. Have you heard the new Brantley Gilbert album? Even more rock influenced than the previous one. Well worth checking out for any rock fan. Recommend the new Dierks Bentley and Eric Church albums as well

The top acts for me over the weekend were night ranger, tesla and JSS. Great weekend overall though even with the technical issues.

What are great day of rock music. Today was a lot busier than the previous 2 days probably due to the line up and the fact it was Saturday. Crazy lixx were Very good and I liked their brand of sleaze rock. New album out soon as well. ISSA was very good and sang her material well. I enjoyed invincible particularly. JSS was brilliant as usual giving his all once again. Shout out to his

Pretty much agree with above. The singer of adrenaline rush cannot sing live but looked great on stage. Moon landing played some very polished AOR and I will be looking out for their album. I really enjoyed LRS. Phase not heard the album but from what I heard live I will check it out. Laverdi sounded great after all the years away. I enjoyed the covers of all the members groups songs but

I am at the festival at the moment. Excellent live venue with a good stage setup. The weather was great yesterday as well which always helps. I didn't see state of Salazar so cannot comment. I saw dalton and like the last time I saw them I was underwhelmed. Did a job basically. Three lions I knew nothing off other than Vigny burns was the guitarist. Played about six songs Of which about

Great to see seattle get some love. I'm a Seattle fan and in an earlier thread I predicted a Seattle victory. I didn't expect the thrashing Seattle gave Denver but the D is one of the best I have witnessed as an American football follower of 30 years. I think seattle will repeat next year....

I'm from belfast and have been a Seahawks fan since 1985 (Kreig and largent!). Actually went to a Seahawks game in Seattle a couple of years ago and it was a fantastic experience. The 12th man created a fantastic atmosphere. I think the Seahawks will win the game. Here's why They play as a team and have all season. The defense is intense and exceptionally quick. The physicality of the se

Seriously BB is probably my favourite TV show ever. Amazing writing, character development, plot twists, acting and with a good dose of black humour throughout. Season one is probably the weakest (bloody goodthough) as it really takes off in season 2. Give it another go you will not regret it

I am a big daughtry fan and to be honest was disappointed with break the spell. I expected a more pop orientated album having read a few reviews so after listening wasn't surprised by the new direction. Thing is I really like it. There are some really strong songs on the album and his vocals are as fantastic as ever. I am a fan of Pink, train, And Bruno Mars so I appreciate good pop rock

Day 3 was the day I was looking forward to most. Eclipse were an excellent start. I was really impressed by Erik martensen who is a superb live singer. The band were on great form and had the crowd rocking which is no mean feat at 2pm in the afternoon on the final day. One of my favourite sets of the weekend. Brighton rock put on an enjoyable set but the singers voice isn't my cup of tea.

The sound was better on day 2. Quick review I didn't catch nation so can't comment. Von groove were very good. Professional band but I would have been happier with material from the earlier albums. That said really enjoyed the set. Heavens edge were professional and brought a lot of energy. Unfortunately I am not a fan and they didn't convert me live.I struggle with the songs and the sin

Yes witnessed this car crash of set. One of the bands i was most looking forward to as well. Kelly was clearly on something as he constantly repeated himself, forgot to use the mic and stumbled around the stage. Unfortunately he impacted in the performance of the other band members who tried valiantly to keep the show going. I have read some reviews where people have suggested it was a new int

Just my two pennies worth. Didn't catch the magnificent. Edens curse were very poor. The sound was terrible but the clichéd euro rock and poor vocals did nothing for me. Left after two songs. WOA are inoffensive and put in a decent performance. WET were let down a bit by poor sound with soto's vocals lost in the mix. They were very energetic and the quality of the material shone th

Saw them in Dublin and they were superb - one of the best gigs I have witnessed. Played vicar street which is a great venue and the crowd were well up for it creating a cracking atmosphere. Rob Thomas is a fantastic frontman and vocalist always engaged with crowd. So many tunes to pick from and they played about 10 tracks off north including 2 bonus tracks. North is definitely their weak
