The first track gave me a real big Cheap Trick Vibe - especially the background vocals.

I really like Busted. I'm from Rockford and they had a signing when it came out so mine's signed by the band. Back 'N Blue is awesome and I still love the title track. Should have released that one as a single. Can't Stop Falling Into Love was originally offered to Rod Stewart, IIRC. Also a big fan of Detonator. One Step Away and Givin' Yourself Away are two of my all-time favorite Ratt

Yep - towards the end of the show they changed instruments up - Paul on drums, Billy and Matt on guitars, Eric on bass, and Pat on vox. They used to do the same thing with "Suffragette City" back in the day.

I remember back when Van Halen 3 came out and Ed did lead vocals on "How Many Say I". Someone interviewed Roth about his opinion and I believe the quote was along the lines of, "It sounds like someone threw hot water at a sick cat." Pot --> kettle.

YouTube "trailer" with samples of four tracks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_d0YTF5fro I'm pretty impressed on first listen. I still spin Lightning Strikes Twice regularly in the car. Looking forward to this.

From Twisted Sister's Facebook: "The members of Twisted Sister are profoundly saddened to announce the untimely passing of our brother, AJ Pero. The band, crew, and most importantly the family of AJ Pero thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time." :(

The only issue I had with Slash's book was the large number of stories he'd start only to go, "more on that later..."

I found it a few months ago on a Russian torrent tracker site. Can't think of the full URL offhand and I'm at work so I can't look for it. I wanna say maybe rutracker.org.

Going to see them tomorrow night at Elgin Ribfest. Can't wait as it's been far too long since the last time. Looking forward to hearing some of the new material. I know they've been working on a new "30 songs in 30 minutes" medley. Those are always great.

I guess that old saying, "I wouldn't cross the street to see >insert band name here<!" holds true as Tateryche is playing a festival next month at Rockford Speedway. It's about a five minute walk from my house and I couldn't be less interested in going.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it right now. I want to preorder the CD/DVD set from Amazon since I have Prime and would receive it on release day, but they still don't have it listed yet. Well, other than an imported listing for $50.16. Meanwhile, Best Buy has it on their site for $16.99 but no free shipping, etc. Might just see if my local BB store has any in stock on Tuesday and just pick

Actually, Bandana Bert is touring with his solo band this summer. They're playing a small festival near me in Rockton, IL on 06/19 with Wayland as the opening band. http://www.oldsettlersdays.com/2014_musicalacts.html

I did the same kind of thing. Bought it and on first listen it was so different than what I was expecting, I didn't care for it. After a while I gave it a second shot with a more objective mindset and it was in my CD rotation for a long time. I was going through a rough patch at the time and could relate to the dark mood/tone of the disc. Still enjoy it a lot.
