I'm enjoying it a lot. Agree with what others have said - loved New Religion but Riot Avenue didn't really grab me. The self-titled and live discs are awesome, too. This one will be spinning in my player for the foreseeable future.

Check your local library. Mine has it so I was able to read it for free. My sentiments echo what has already stated before. I'll add that he doesn't talk about the Skid Row days as much as you would expect. Also for as many times he mentions how much he hates cocaine, he sure wasn't one to ever turn it down.

Several years ago, a friend of a friend claimed he got beat up by a member of Motley Crue and filed suit against Live Nation. http://chinese-democracy.blogspot.com/2008/01/fan-beaten-up-by-motley-crue.html He wound up killing himself before it went anywhere though.

I got hit in the face by a drumstick thrown by Emeril Lagasse at the Cabo Wabo in 2009. Only thing that bummed me out was someone else grabbed it off the floor before I'd realized what happened.

I saw him solo last summer too and it was terrible. At least with Poison it's unlikely he'll "treat" us to Sweet Home Alabama again...

I've always liked The Heat a lot for the most part. I was working at a CD shop when it came out and we had a store copy that got a lot of plays. It prompted me to order the previous two which I also enjoy a lot. I agree with you on Let it Go and Salt of Joy and would add Long Way to Go to that list of great tracks from it.

She took a lightsaber to my heart, Then she picked my brain with a pocket knife. She said, "Say what's on your mind." So I said, "I'm kinda hungry and you ain't my type." She said I was cold as Hell, but Hell's not cold I know, I know 'Cause I've been there for the last half hour or so and the devil says it never snows...

So far this year I've only caught local bands at bars and festivals. Going to see Steel Panther twice the first week of December - VIP in Chicago and then the annual WJJO Winter "Yellow Snow Ball" in Madison.

I tried getting tickets to the annual Cabo Wabo concerts in October. They used to be free - you just showed up in Cabo San Lucas and waited in line at the club. Now they've got this awful online lottery system in place and I didn't get selected for any of the shows despite three drawings being done. Too many "tire kickers" entering the contest without any real means/intent of going

I'm quite fond of Motley Crue's "You're All I Need". Would probably have been a hit had MTV not refused to air it.

I'm from Rockford so I've seen all the Cheap Trick guys around town a lot. I worked in a CD shop that sold imports/bootlegs from 1990-93. Bun E. Carlos came in a lot and was always a cool guy. Bought tons of Beatles and Jeff Beck bootlegs from us. Rick Nielsen's always approachable, too. The other two no longer live here so I haven't seen either since the early nineties. By far, my favo
