While I agree on the production elements - and I'm totally assigning that to Youtube at the moment - the sound clips are simply amazing. James sounds absolutely as good as he ever has and the songs have a lot of passion in them - more so than the last HoL CD for me. Can't wait - and Frontiers doesn't pay me, I pay them. :)

Got my CD(s) yesterday as well. Loving it after two spins, especially track 4 - All I have to do....epic. I'm putting my two extra signed copies up on Ebay tomorrow if anyone is interested. I haven't listened to the remastered Lofcaudio yet.

Received my copy of the Jeff Scott Soto biography in the mail yesterday and while I am only a small portion of the way through reading it, I wanted to recommend it to everyone who is a fan. It is very nicely presented in a clever high quality photo credit card with a fold out USB drive containing the PDF copy of the book. Very well done. Now all I have to do is find a way to get JSS to sign it

I know its been mentioned in the past here, but the guitar playing and especially the solo on Salvation Is Here just smokes. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la4SAOZBaRc

Totally agreed - this is in my personal top 10 and I still play it regularly. This Love, This Time is absolutely a monster vocal performance

Wow, really quite soft. Sounds like they are trying for Adult Contemporary radio.

I have a recurring thought from the last 15 years after listening to the stream yesterday - not one of these songs would have been even a B-side from the first 5 albums. Should be a GT solo album instead of QR.

I just love the sound of Mike Slamer, going back to his Streets days. The Nowhere Land album just has such a huge guitar sound and is followed closely by what he did on the Chris Ousey CD in 2011.

I've always loved the song "It's Only Love", the last song from the generally poorly regarded The Doctor album. Just a complete ear worm every time I play it.

I waited so long for this album and I REALLY wanted it to blow me away as the first one did (which I still listen to regularly) and after listening to it all the way through two times I am pretty disappointed. There are literally only 2-3 songs I have any interest in going back to. I'm so disappointed as these guys could be THE melodic rock band to bring some younger fans back to real music.

Coming from the Raleigh, NC area and will be getting one of the VIP options (TBD) for all 3 days. Already booked at the Holiday Inn Express for all 3 days and looking forward to meeting as many people as possible. Thanks, Tom

Obviously in the minority, but I loved this and still listen to it regularly. It's like Journey on steroids - lots and lots of muscle in the playing and Neal keeps it very interesting.

Given that JSS is IMHO THE Voice of rock for this generation - and that the first album is my personal favorite of ANYTHING that has come out in the past 10 years, I'll have it on preorder as soon as it is up! On a related note, any way to get an autograph JSS while you are in Raleigh with TSO on December 1st? :)

Great show in Charlotte last night. A few first night glitches with the mix early on, but were fixed by the 5th song. Great energy from the band and the crowd. Fitting that they started this tour in Charlotte - where they have not played since 1988. I loved the set list, especially hearing SSOASS. The Prisoner was awesome as well. I'd never seen Alice Cooper before and was pretty impressed.

I can't understand where some folks are coming from - Blood and Fire is absolute first class VH and I love DLR's attitude in the song. "I told you I'd be back" :)

I regularly do the same since Voyage is one of my all-time favorites - it still gets played at least once per week after all this time. Maybe Andrew knows something?

For me it is Chris Ousey. Such a soulful depth to his vocals.

Just incredible. Chris is a top 5 vocalist for me, but this far exceeded even my high expectations and it blew me away right from the first pass. Highly recommended and a contender for the best of 2011 - which is saying something with the amount of quality releases this year.

I'll stand up for NEH here as the shipping is a fair $3 for the 1st CD and then only $1 each so I just make sure to always order at least two at a time. Also, I would pay $15.99 online, but only if I could get lossless quality, which is why I'm still buying nothing but CD's. I do agree that the delay in this case will cause people to seek it out online from the sharing sites, which is a shame.

Joe, Just received my copy in the mail today from NEH (as a side note, why would anyone in the USA not buy the CD for $15.99 from NEH now rather than waiting two more months and paying....$15.99?) and am really enjoying it so far. Purchased it based on how stellar the first one was and frankly was unsure about the shift from the dual vocalist style, but I'm with Andrew on this - you pulled it

An interesting take Brandy and I had thought about it like that. The other interesting thing I've noted is that as I have gotten older (but anything but middle aged!), I have a whole new appreciation for longer songs from bands like Rush and Maiden that I simply didn't have the patience for when younger, even though I loved both bands. Now I can really get into the depth of a song I may have h

So while running in place on my eliptical machine this morning (a telling sign in and of itself), I was struck by the totally different perspective I have to lyrics then I did 25 years ago when they were new. Parental Guidance from Judas Preist comes on via shuffle mode on the iPod and now that I am the parent trying to provide said guidance, I don't feel quite so rebellious as I did as a teenage

Wow, it's been a while since something this old has shaken loose from the cobwebs of my college years. I remember buying this at a record store in Boston in late '84/early '85 and being pleasantly surprised. I'm guessing the record company had no idea how to market these guys. Thanks for pointing this out!

Interesting that Mr. Mister was mentioned as I definitely heard some things that reminded me of the Pull album, especially during Undeniable. Good stuff and sounds like a must purchase to me!

Did a search and did not see any threads related to this new Swedish band. Personally I was instantly reminded of Heat, but am interested in other folks thoughts. Pretty catchy song...here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=v2-ludCjM6k
