(Puts helmet on) I think Kip Winger is criminally underrated as a vocalist. There, I've said it. :) I would also add to the previously mentions: Steve Lukather and Michael Sadler.

Thought Face the World was just good, but really loved Humanize Me. It would not be out of place on Nordic Union II.

I have them all around my house, mainly for home automation purposes, but for light duty listening in the bedrooms or kitchen while cooking/eating, they work very well. The shape/design allows them to blend in and be placed in many different spots. Sure for "loud" listening I'll still fire up my Sonos Play 5's, but I think the Echo's are absolutely fine for their purpose.

Thanks for sharing the links - really loved Collide from Normandie. Had never heard of them before this.

Just terrific. Going to preorder this right away. Still remember Steve Walsh doing a handstand on the piano while wearing a white kimono-type outfit during the Audio Visions tour date I saw them on (with 38 Special co-headling). The 2nd concert I ever attended...you never forget your 2nd. :)

Wow, those were both really great songs - thanks for sharing. Never heard of that band before, but will definitely check them out.

While excellent overall, it is definitely missing the Slamer touch to the sound. It's a 90 for me vs. 95 for R&R.

This is why I love reading this board - I would have never come across these guys and just listening to the first song on Spotify I agree with Scott's description completely. Thanks!

My conclusion was the same as Andrew's when I listened to the samples a couple of weeks ago - liked the music, but the guy can't sing very well.

Big day for new releases tomorrow - Treat, Defiants and Eclipse Deluxe en route from Amazon and Chris Ousey from NEH. Can't wait to listen to them all and am looking forward to Andrew's reviews.

Really enjoyed Gimme Blood, Shake the cage not as much. Heavier than I was expecting for some reason.

For me the Slamer album and Chris Ousey's solo album are both favorites. Still play both regularly.

Poor guy, what a terrible experience for the $$$. Guess that explains the tour dates being canceled by Def Leppard.

Received my copy on Friday and have listened to it all the way through around five times. Comes across like a heavier Eclipse, but with all the hooks still intact. I find it hard to imagine there will be 10 better albums in 2016, simply amazing. For some reason I keep find myself turning the volume higher and higher with this album. :)

Thanks very much for posting this Dan. I've been checking regularly for it the past few weeks. I always find multiple overlooked gems from the list(s) you guys come up with. Thanks!

Awaiting my preorder arriving on the 29th, but based on the 3 full songs I've heard I'm certain it is a monster. What a brilliant combination!

Agreed, as I've got Ozone at #2 behind Toto XIV (obviously) and just ahead of Eclipse at #3.

I'm intrigued your comment about greediness as I can't think of any example off the top of my head. What specifically are you referring to?

Definitely a top 3 vocalist all time for me - just love everything he has done and that includes The Distance albums. It's been too long since I've fired them up - thanks for the reminder. :) Really looking forward to the new one in April.

Just hearing "When death is calling" was enough for me to pre-order at Amazon. Really looking forward to it.

I really like Terry Brock and so enjoyed PL, but don't even think of it as Giant when listening to it. The first three albums are all just terrific and still listened to a few times a year.

Wow, what an incredible idea - even better than I could have hoped for honestly. I'll certainly defer to Andrew on this, but I for one am totally on board with this concept. Andrew: I forwarded you the PDF of the 2 day pass I purchased yesterday. Cheers, Tom

Wonderful Andrew. Please tell me how best to proceed - just purchase the 2 day pass using the link at eventbrite and then somehow forward the purchase confirmation to you? Thanks, Tom

Andrew, I'd like to support this event even though I'm unable to fly to Australia to attend personally. Is there a way that I could purchase a 2 day pass and you could find a way to give it to someone who would like to attend, but maybe couldn't afford to go? Thanks! Tom

I got to hear him play this song during his Summer tour with Loverboy and it really translated well to a live setting. I don't get too strong a country vibe - just a fun, sing along song.

Thanks for posting about this - was on my to-do list for this weekend. I have to admit that I had never heard of Chris Braide until the first DBA offering, which was an incredible surprise. I still play it to this day and have since picked up a few of his solo albums as well as this years' This Oceanic Feeling (also very good). Pre-ordered the new one and it is also just amazing. Something magica

As mentioned in another thread re: FM, Stryper is a band I should love based on the fact I dig so many similar bands, the strength of the players, great vocalist, etc. but I've just never connected with them for some reason. This song continues that feeling - I should love it, but it leaves me ambivalent. I'm glad I heard it, but it doesn't make me want to replay it or go buy the album. I'm gl
