Poor guy, what a terrible experience for the $$$. Guess that explains the tour dates being canceled by Def Leppard.

Received my copy on Friday and have listened to it all the way through around five times. Comes across like a heavier Eclipse, but with all the hooks still intact. I find it hard to imagine there will be 10 better albums in 2016, simply amazing. For some reason I keep find myself turning the volume higher and higher with this album. :)

Thanks very much for posting this Dan. I've been checking regularly for it the past few weeks. I always find multiple overlooked gems from the list(s) you guys come up with. Thanks!

Awaiting my preorder arriving on the 29th, but based on the 3 full songs I've heard I'm certain it is a monster. What a brilliant combination!

Agreed, as I've got Ozone at #2 behind Toto XIV (obviously) and just ahead of Eclipse at #3.

I'm intrigued your comment about greediness as I can't think of any example off the top of my head. What specifically are you referring to?

Definitely a top 3 vocalist all time for me - just love everything he has done and that includes The Distance albums. It's been too long since I've fired them up - thanks for the reminder. :) Really looking forward to the new one in April.

Just hearing "When death is calling" was enough for me to pre-order at Amazon. Really looking forward to it.

I really like Terry Brock and so enjoyed PL, but don't even think of it as Giant when listening to it. The first three albums are all just terrific and still listened to a few times a year.

Excellent, thanks Andrew. Please let me know if you need anything else from me to make this happen.

Wow, what an incredible idea - even better than I could have hoped for honestly. I'll certainly defer to Andrew on this, but I for one am totally on board with this concept. Andrew: I forwarded you the PDF of the 2 day pass I purchased yesterday. Cheers, Tom

Wonderful Andrew. Please tell me how best to proceed - just purchase the 2 day pass using the link at eventbrite and then somehow forward the purchase confirmation to you? Thanks, Tom

Andrew, I'd like to support this event even though I'm unable to fly to Australia to attend personally. Is there a way that I could purchase a 2 day pass and you could find a way to give it to someone who would like to attend, but maybe couldn't afford to go? Thanks! Tom

I got to hear him play this song during his Summer tour with Loverboy and it really translated well to a live setting. I don't get too strong a country vibe - just a fun, sing along song.

Thanks for posting about this - was on my to-do list for this weekend. I have to admit that I had never heard of Chris Braide until the first DBA offering, which was an incredible surprise. I still play it to this day and have since picked up a few of his solo albums as well as this years' This Oceanic Feeling (also very good). Pre-ordered the new one and it is also just amazing. Something magica

As mentioned in another thread re: FM, Stryper is a band I should love based on the fact I dig so many similar bands, the strength of the players, great vocalist, etc. but I've just never connected with them for some reason. This song continues that feeling - I should love it, but it leaves me ambivalent. I'm glad I heard it, but it doesn't make me want to replay it or go buy the album. I'm gl

Guess I'm in the minority here. I've listened to this thing non-stop since receiving it - at least 20 times all the way through - and just love it. Does it have the Slamer "recipe", sure, but I love that signature sound and as I've stated many times here, Chris Ousey is a top 3 favorite vocalist for me. I still listen to Rhyme & Reason very regularly for the same reason. These two

I went to an outdoor show in the mid-80s: In order, Lita Ford, Ratt, Twisted Sister and then the headliner....Cheap Trick. Half the place cleared out as they started with "Hello there ladies and gentlemen" :)

I'm guessing I'm not too different from many of the folks on this board - mid 40's with two teenage daughters. As someone who spent essentially every penny I earned in the 80's on albums, I've continued that habit as an adult - with the bonus of being blessed to be able to buy any amount of music I could desire. I get new CD's nearly every week without fail and have spent years cultivating per

I certainly respect differing opinions from my own, but I can't mentally connect with such extreme disappointment from what I consider to be among the best songs these guys have ever done - the samples are that immediately good to my ears. I can actually appreciate the extra time and care that seem to have gone into these new songs as the last album had a few that I tended to skip. Can't wait!

One minor correction: I forgot that Toto XIV came out in 2015 so Ozone is a strong #2. :)

So I received my CD very early for some reason (thanks NEH!) and have listened to it through a few times. I don't want to bring out the haters, but I've just never warmed to Steve Overland for some reason - I promise I've tried all of the big FM albums. Chris Ousey on the other hand is a top 5 favorite vocalist for me and Mike Slamer has that wonderful, fat guitar tone - and both are in excellent

Like most things with Def Leppard, I can already tell this is polarizing in terms of opinions. I just listened to it for the first time and very much enjoyed it. Not breaking any new ground, but that's not what I want from these guys so I'm glad they can embrace their trademark sound.

That's what I chalked it up to when I wasn't "hearing" the criticism of some releases which sounded just fine to me. I've not been the same since that one time at the barricade for Priest/Maiden in the early 80's. :)

Interesting as the Chris Ousey solo CD is one of my favorite albums of the past five years. I still play portions of it nearly weekly even today.

I really like the song and can accept the bit of strain added to the end of Bruce's vocals as a simple fact of time/age. Really interesting video as well. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. :)
