I enjoyed it and just finished it recently so it is still fresh in my mind. Much more straight ahead storytelling rather than some of the other over the top rock bios I'v read. Well worth it.

Absolutely one of my two or three favorite releases of the past 5 years. Still listen to it regularly and have been anxiously awaiting the follow up.

Put me down for Joseph over Bobby and reconfirmed after the new live show release.

Got my copy in the mail yesterday and have listened to it through three times so far. While not as immediate as Karma in terms of sing along choruses, I think it is a very deep album and will have staying power. One thing is for sure - these guys can certainly play their instruments as well as anyone. Just some amazing performances and you get an interesting 30 minute look into it with the del

Because I absolutely loved the first album, I gave what the hell repeated listens and just could not connect with it. The only song that stayed in my head was the title track and it was more of an annoying ear worm type of stay. :) So much talent in the band that #3 HAS to be better!

I really like it and am immediately reminded of the Tony Harnell Starbreaker albums in terms of the heavier change of direction. Of course, I am extremely biased as JSS is simply THE man and everything he does is pure class.

So my question is this: it's 199x and you hear a couple of these songs on the radio (e.g. Love will break your heart and/or The hills have eyes). Do you think it's actually Def Leppard and do they become hits? I personally love what these guys have done and rather than making it some kind of joke, they actually put a LOT of heart and effort into these songs. Well done and a must buy for me.

While I've only heard the lead single from the new one, after the last album I became convinced that he really takes them to the next level as the songs have a bit more power to me.

Wow - thanks so much for posting this! One of the best surprises in a long time and as a HUGE MRMR fan, I definitely agree with the comparison. Off to buy the EP!

I just love these guys. James and the band really know how to deliver exactly what their fans love about HoL - and the guy just sounds amazing vocally!

Thanks for making me feel even older on this Monday morning - I have literally never heard of any of those artists you mention. I bet my kids have.... :)

It's Maiden by a long shot for me and it all comes down to greatly preferring Dickinson over Halford.

My only reaction is: it took 11 years to pull together this??? Tom Scholz is both a genius and his own worst enemy.

Peter does have a point - these guys at this age definitely have a face for radio, not video. :) Having said that, talent is talent and quality is quality - and they have that in spades.

Because I still play it quite regularly, I would have to go with the Signal album as well. Top shelf stuff and a shame only the one.

I would have the RTZ track "Face the music" in my top 12 - just a great performance in a more straight ahead rock format.

This was WELL worth the wait (and the $125 Pledge investment) and I can't stop listening to it! Interestingly, my personal favorite so far is Evermore, but frankly there is not a single song I skip - it is all such high quality and certainly my favorite album from these guys.

A lot more Kansas type sound, but I really love this song. Can't wait for the pre-order to arrive!

Very generous of you Eddie, but completely unnecessary. I'm blessed to be able to afford any amount of CD's I want and already have your new disc on my shopping list. Anything with Carsten is a must-buy IMHO and I look forward to having the time to listen to the new one. Best of luck and thanks for the kind offer.

That's very kind of you to offer Ronda. I assume there will be a ton of great pictures from the show and can't wait to see them. I will plan on buying a shirt, program etc. once Andrew gets back as I couldn't impose on you to do that - but you are very generous to offer!

Well, I now have to fly cross country Sunday afternoon to be on the West coast for Monday AM meetings and so will unfortunately be unable to attend the Saturday/Sunday portion of MRF3 that I have tickets for. Rather than try and sell the tickets, I would prefer to donate them to someone who truly wanted to go, but was prevented from doing so financially. The only fair way I can figure to do it

So "Patriot Dreams" comes on while I'm on the elliptical machine this morning (as an aside, getting old sucks) and I realized that I've listened to this album all the way through more than any other during the past 10 years. I have literally listened to it more than 100 times completely through and it is now 10 years old. So for me, Brian McDonald Project - Voyage is the album I have

I saw some folks mention the production when the samples were posted, but frankly I did not notice any issues at all when I listened to it - and I was on the lookout. I'm no audiophile - can someone give me specific examples of what the supposed problems are? Overall, it seems on a par with the past handful of HOL releases - not million dollar productions, but very credible.
