well, I get what you mean..it's also a matter of taste....BBC 1 (and others) didn't work for me sonic wise...but Mr.Big yes... Again, the one he did with aerosmith sounds simply huge and wide. Obviously there's NO producer that never failed a mix lol. Probably Mutt Lange:-)

Come on... Kevin Shirley is just great. He wants the band real-live feel. Listen to his work with Aerosmith or Rush..it's just amazing.

if you need a good sounding record you need GREAT songs, GREAT musicians and GREAT perfomances...then all the sonic matters are obvious. It takes time, love and you gotta be competent in whatever the step of the production is. It can be on a macbook or on a Neve board. But most of all it takes are the songs and the perfomances. I love both worlds..digital and analog. That's why I finally built my

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I757bnhLy0s This is in my opinion the best example on how to create a gem. Amazing solo by Luke...and OOOOOHHH...those bg's from Timothy B. Schmit! Not to say Luke in few seconds delivers his best solo in a session work in my opinion.

He's been a name for an album Paul. But I think he's not interested...whan he has achieved on a major level will keep him far from the "little" Aor world....

Was it better during the 90's when AOR bands were struggling to survive??? Any video is welcome and these are promotional tools for youtube and for the fans to have something to share on youtube. Nothing more than that. It's not meant to be MTV oriented crap or so. Let's support the scene. If Ged did it with his own money I respect him even more.

Well..you got to the core...Fergie has a passion that it's shown in the delivery... when the album is out please listen carefully to the ballad. I wrote that on him and we wrote the lyrics together...I was in tears when he was singing it the first time in the studio. The single will be the non-obvious choice and I'm sure a lot of people will be surprised:-)

I'm lucky I have amazing musicians which I can also have a life with outside of music...you don't know how boring musicians are...and with Ale and Mario (they seem to be pointed ones LOL) I enjo every second of their company when we are together... You know people like Bobby Barth or Mitch or Bruce Gaitsch wouldn't go the crap way...they want quality and they have it with my guys...

I am not a big poster because I think that musicians should be here but not invade the board too much, even if I'm a social cat with fans and followers... I just wanted to tell the real state of facts from the inside.

Ah....and actually I discuss the musicians involved EVERY SINGLE TIME with artists, labels and anybody involved in the record. And knowing how good these people are, I wanna go the safe way and not get another crappy a$%hole in the picture LOL. That's why Luke, the Porcaro's and all the other guys played on every record in the world: because the producers trusted them blindly on the result, the

Being in the AOR business takes thicker skin than any other genre:-)))) Anyway...no worries...I will use the "same band" only for another record or two this year. I did Fergie Frederiksen entirely with other names but Bruce Gaitsch so you'll be happy because I got all people from bands you love (I hope). Guess what? in the next 12 months I'll see my usual guys for just very few sessio

Guys..I normally don't sell my work on the albums..I just let the music do the talking. The two songs I sang on are simply sensational. I enjoyed doing my job on such heartaching soulful songs like these. www.alessandrodelvecchio.com
