Rip everything in lossless format to a NAS drive so I can stream it around the house, for mobile I usually just grab my iPod, mostly listen to the radio in the car at the moment. Also have a Sonos system in the living room that I use with the aforementioned NAS, Spotify and Google Play (got a 6 month trial with the Sonos)

To say I'm *not* a Yes fan (with the exception of Drama, 90125 and Fly From Here) would be a bit of an understatement. Have heard some of Jon Davison's stuff with Glass Hammer and it's pretty good, have a few friends who are seeing Yes this week on the Cruise To The Edge thing, will report back if I hear anything :-)

Does nothing for me either, I love the Xzibit track but that's about it. Am actually giving it another go at the moment ! To be fair though, I don't think it's by any means a bad album, the fact that I can't get into it is probably more to do with my expectations and my changing tastes. I've been a fan since I saw them at La Scala in London so it may just be familiarity breeding contempt.

The Blacklist is making TV bearable at the moment, it's just started over here but we watched all the episodes so far in about 5 days ;-) Watched Broadchurch the other week as it's also been on here but they've been showing two episodes a night,

Add Revolution to the list, which seems not so much to have jumped the shark for season 2 as flown over it at 10,000 feet in a private jet.....

One of my mates went to see Motorhead in Glasgow in the early 90's. After the gig he went back to the car (old Vauxhall Cavalier) - it didn't seem to start so he tried again and the popped the bonnet to check. The engine was running but he couldn't hear it ;-)

Seeing FM at the Aberdeen Capitol in the 80's. Quite a big venue but there couldn't have been more than 50 people in the audience, they came on, played as if they were in front of 2000 people and it was a great gig. However, during the last song, someone decided it would be a good idea to stage dive, so he jumped up onstage, and then back into the stalls. Except he sailed over the heads

Glad people are liking it - one of my friends is now managing them, think it's a very good album but it's taken me a while to get into them.

Was also the first CD I ever bought, loved it, for ages everytime I listened to it I spotted some little nuance in the production that I hadn't noticed before.

There was an excellent article on the production of Promised Land in the Marillion fanclub mag (Phil Brown who does the Marillo's FOH sound was Jimbo Barton's assistant on the album), will see if I can dig up some quotes....

Brilliant ending, was genuinely surprised, loved the opening scene with the funeral pyre as well, you don't get that in Lord Of The Rings ;-)

Have watched the whole series so far, really enjoyed it. Think the US restarts the series this weekend after a break. They extended the first series order but haven't confirmed a second series yet as far as I know. Agree with you about cancellations, am fed up of getting into new shows and they stop !

>The creator once said years ago Babylon 5 would be too expensive >for a bluray release, God knows why! From what I've read, all the CGI (of which there was a fair bit) was done in the standard TV resolution of the time. To do a bluray, they'd have to go back and re-render all the effects from scratch. Which would be fine - but they don't have the data, both the companies that did
