I really wish they would do a night of Def Leppard without an opener - maybe even two sets. Great band and I'd rather see a deeper set list than 3 bands with short sets. That's prevented me from seeing them as they come every couple of years and almost always the same show. They gets lots of playtime from me at home, but the act gets stale. It's really a waste of talent!

I wonder if Max Webster would be one of the first prog rock bands. Some of their stuff is way out there.

I've got row 2 seats to the only Res 9 show on the calendar! I'm looking forward to it. And the boys from Triumph along with Alex don't live that far away - you never know... I'd agree the album is a mixed bag. I like some a lot, then I hear a track like Sweet Tooth and say WTF? I've enjoyed a lot of his solo work and journey through various gendres and agree this one has some very good mo

I enjoy both bands and would see either if they swung through town, so I'm saying I'm a fan of both. That said, I agree it's a poor double bill based on styles. But I'd love to see it! It would be so cool to fly over and catch 3 shows in a row - though maiden never seem to change up the set lists. Anyways - won't happen, flying over for that is reserved for my single without kids days!

I hope they continue - but these were comments talking off the cuff that just got latched onto - I'd say no real change to current ambiguous status unfortunately.

He is so dependant on her, my guess is it's temporary. They seem like soul mates - both very nuts!

I love extreme, I love halen, but this one is a fail for me. They were enjoyable live for me but the album was a fail. In general,I think Cherone is deeply underrated.

Greg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Loved Slang.....one of their best I like that one to - love the title track. Pyromania is my fave album, so I'm a Lep fan. That said - live shows have become very predictable and I don't see them every tour anymore with the high prices and 80 minute sets. On the other hand, Rush is my fav band and I see them for ev

I missed them to ... then went back and looked for some highly recommended albums from Andrews reviews and figured I would give a try - and it's one of my favorite newer albums! That's why I enjoy this site so much.

Call me nuts - I enjoy the album. Not my fav but I find it enjoyable. I do wish it was all new - the released songs are sad. Also - they put on a fun show locally this year but I think played just a couple new tracks.

Me to - I appreciate Andrews hard work, and have found some new musicand artists that otherwise I would have never found or heard, so very appreciative of all of Andrews work. However, I only check in once every few days now, as it isn't as fluid as it used to be.

Thanks Andrew. I always enjoy your wrap ups for the year, even if it's a little delayed, as I often find new bands that I missed through all your hard work. Much appreciated! I appreciate all the work you put into the site and the reviews on an ongoing basis and just wanted to say thank you.

I've enjoyed sass for a long time. As a Toronto resident there was a period about 10 years ago she was playing small clubs a few times a year and it was great. One time allanah myles walked in to check things out, was drunk out of her skull, stayed 15 minutes and split - pretty odd. They must be friends as another time they shared a bill and each did a set and then a mini duet set at the e

I agree with that - the first 2-3 weeks I didnt get it. Now I can't put it down. I discover something new each week. For example - wish them well I thought was a throw away effortless track, but in the flow of the album I'm finding it a great anthem to reach the finish. But for being a concept album, I'd feel cheated by it - but in the flow of this album, you almost need something light/fluffy

I've seen them many times, and first time in a long time I'm really looking forward to hearing their new material in concert - enough DVDs out their with their heritage materials. Very powerful album when you get into it.

What do you think? Takes a few listens, but it's a monster! Loving it more and more by the week. Hope Andrew gives it a good review. My two favourite bands are Rush and Van Halen, it's been a good year!

You should be faster to the trigger in future - as an involved parent myself with young ones, who has time to really waste on nonsense. My two cents.
