Opening riff needs to be more distinct. I can barely make it out. (Production, while not Tokyo Motor Fist bad, could be better.) Also, the chorus reminds me of No Time To Lose Ya, off of "Somewhere In CA". Overall, it's a decent, modern Night Ranger song. However, I'm hoping for better songs.

Hey all, I work on a auto industry radio show, and I'm trying to find Christmas car songs to use in it. The only one I've found is Brian Setzer's "Santa Drive A Hot Rod". Do you guys know of any others? I figured this would be the place to ask!

The same applied to Trixter's last album, and didn't Steve Brown produce that? I don't know where the hell this bad production came from.

Now I get why Def Lep hired Steve Brown to fill in for Vivian Campbell, that time. His backing vocals on this sound just like those Viv does on the Def Lep tracks.

Does this mean they will have a different bill for the summer shows, or are we to believe that dates will be added?

I actually work at SiriusXM and have been hearing about the channel for weeks, now. (I know many of the producers, including the morning show's producer.) While it is not dedicated, solely, to rock music, there is certainly a LOT of rock personalities/celebrities on it. As far as I know, this is only the beginning. The channel will certainly grow and evolve, greatly.

Not to sound controversial, but did Elliot sound live? I saw them at Mohegan Sun in May & Jones Beach in July & I would bet serious money that he was heavily canned both times. (I have seen them MANY times in the past 10 years. I know what current Joe sounds like and how he phrases things. This summer he sounded too good & phrased things in ways I've never heard him do, before.)

Always a GREAT show! Just saw them in NYC, last night. It was a very small theater, Town Hall, and the guys ROCKED IT...BIG TIME!

I took your lead/hint of a recent Brad interview & found this. Unfortunately, it sounds like we might have to wait until next year, since Jack is having vocal trouble! http://www.classicrockrevisited.com/show_interview.php?id=1175

Hasn't it been confirmed that Styx had Lou DePasqua, offstage, adding extra vocals, during the 1996 reunion tour? Is is safe to assume that he stuck with them for the 1997 tour. I recently saw a video of them playing Queen Of Spades, in 1997. While I am certainly NOT suspecting any trickery, I noticed that the big, high note after the solo sounds like it might be another voice. Perhaps Lou han

I swear, I am 110 serious when I say that I thought the same exact thing! When I first saw that commercial, I literally thought to myself, "WOW! That's grittier and more rockin' than anything one his last few albums!'

Let me be clear, while I do believe, now, that he was using a tape in Pensacola, I DON'T believe he normally does. That "Yes I Do" comment is too clear and properly miced to be picked up. However, the way he moves the mic & has sounded in the past, leads me to believe he's usually live. My only question, now, is, "Why is he using it on the 1st night of a tour, after havi

I hate to say it, but that seems to make things pretty clear. He was sounding so good in Pensacola because he was using a backing tape for his vocals. Also, now that I look at that video closely, there are points where he pulls the mic from his face, a bit, but you don't hear any change in the audio volume, like you should. It looked like he's not used to using the tape, from the motions he w

Was checking out videos of Def Lep's return to the stage, from last night. Joe Elliot sounded probably the best I have heard him in years...so much so that I'm skeptical that they are not pulling something. I KNOW they swear up and down that they have never used any tapes vocals, and I tend to believe them. But doesn't this sound EXACTLY like the recorded version? (Compare it to the live videos f

Interesting. Even though the band has less original/classic members than ever before (2 now?), it's obvious they are determined to bring back the dynamic/sound of the classic era.

OK! I'll just say it. I'm purely speculating, but might Axl sound better because he's using more vocals tracks? That could do the trick.

I don't understand what the point is of even hiring the guy. We all know they use piped in backing vocals & even some recorded keys (on songs like Only The Young, etc.) So if it's already on tape, why the hell do we need a live guy, who will only be buried in the mix with the tape?

Night Ranger are recording their new album in Nashville, right? Does that mean that we should expect a country feel/sound from this album?

I highly recommend reading the full article (linked-to on that Ultimate Classic Rock page) or listening to Breuer's podcast. You will love Brian even more after it. Breuer insists that Brian had a hard time understanding the fact that he does draw people to AC/DC shows, and that it's not just Angus. The guy is a total legend and seems ridiculously humble/cool.

I totally see what you mean, and agree that it's the case for many. It really is a weird thing. I admit that, in some respects, my age is a major factor in my acceptance of these "Single original member, classic rock bands". I'm a 28 year old, die hard 70s & 80s rock fan. I know a ton about bands like Survivor, Foreigner & Boston. However, having only really gotten into thes

How does the rest of the album compare to "Love & Bullets"? To be honest, I love the Danger Danger sound, but the chorus seems weak and a little clumsy. (It doesn't flow as well as a good, catchy chorus should.)

I thought he said that last year's tour was going to be the end of the "big arena shows", only to take that back, because he said this band had him all energized?

Great performer & solid songs, but way to much pre-recorded content. I remember, when I saw him in September, finding it quite easy to notice when he was singing live & when he wasn't.

Many of you might remember, that back in 2012, a network called HDNet (now AXS TV) aired the entire M3 Festival LIVE. I personally, recorded the entire Night Ranger & Warrant sets, and have kept them on my DVR ever since. However, now my family is ready to get a new, more kicked up DVR. Accept, the catch is, I am told there is no way to save what is on the DVR or transfer it to the new DVR

Actually saw night 1 of their short acoustic tour, last night. I too usually shy away from the acoustic stuff, but I agree, they do it damn well. The harmonies were dead on & the songs shined. Also, Kelly's laid back banter, between songs, was kinda cool. It gave the show a looser vibe. If you're gonna check out 1 acoustic show, Foreigner might be a good one.

I recently saw an article where they said that they pushed back it's release, so they could film bonus content for it. I think they're gonna include a lot of behind-the-scenes tour footage.
