For as much as I love MB20, I've never really liked his solo stuff other than a song here and there. This isn't doing anything for me.

Ill admit. If I see a cd at say best buy, or even on amazon, and the cover is really good, it makes me want to look into the band. If it's bland, and only has a few colors, then I pass. I think artwork being good helps a lot. They say don't judge a book by it's cover, but if bands made artwork great, it may draw more fans into. I think the fact that so many are going digital, that bands don't wor

If you want to be specific, melodic metal is anything that is metal music with melody. He loves Maiden and Priest, but I'm pretty sure 98% of their songs have a melody, just like 98% of all songs do. Only ones I'm pretty sure that wouldn't fall under the melodic metal genre would be those hardcore bands where it's just random music thrown together with a guy screaming at me. Most rock and metal b

Uhm, you do know that Maiden and Priest are pretty melodic too, right? Melodic is anything with a melody, the only music that doesn't really have melody is that hardcore stuff. Maiden, Preist, and most rock and metal bands have a melody, therefore, they are technically melodic metal. Besides, Helloween is considered power metal, and it's funny how you like them cause I LOVE power metal, and t

Melodic rock? Okay, did you know that technically, Melodic metal is a sub-genre of melodic rock? Metal came from hard rock, and metal is a sub-genre of hard rock therefore, melodic metal, is a subgenre of melodic rock. Besides, if you're throwing Andrew under the bus for not sticking solely to melodic rock, why not complain when he puts bands on there that are prog rock?

Tell me, how is power metal, a by product of heavy metal? How is Sabaton a by-product of say, Iron Maiden? They're not really. Two totally different styles. Yes, there has to be a heavy metal to have a power metal, so in a way it is. Someone is having a bad day. Work of Art is melodic, but when I need something melodic and heavier than work of art, I turn to melodic metal, I like it. Sue me.

I'm the same as most of you. I'm really loving this. Much more melody and more hooks then Lightning Strikes Twice.

Someone should show him Theocracy. There's a modern metal band with melody, and really good vocals. I do agree though, a lot of American modern metal is screaming into a mic.

I pre-ordered the Within Silence CD from Amazon and paid for guaranteed release date delivery, which is Tuesday here in the States. Would they ship it out on Friday to guarantee it here by Tuesday? Anyone had any experience with this?

I wanted to see this in Louisville, well I still can, but I'm not a fan of Nightwish or Delain. I'd be paying $30 just to see Sabaton. I'm sure they'll be back. It's their 3rd US tour in a year and a half I think. Maybe they'll be headlining next time.

Agree with you two. Seen them 3 times in the states, and got MLLAM all 3 times when it hadn't been played the previous 3 or so shows lol. I am glad to see Promises and Paper Sun in there. I know they said they'd be doing some stuff off Euphoria, Promises and Paper Sun only? But they said they'd do stuff off other albums too, so hopefully, Rock On is one that will rotate out.

From what I read in an interview with Joe, each member sings lead vocals, but only for a verse or two on one song. That's how I understood what I read a few weeks back. I don't think they take full lead vocals.

Well, if you take their word for it, which I know taking band members word for it usually doesn't work out, it's their best since Viv's been in the band, and I thought Euphoria was a good record, and Sparkle Lounge had a few good songs on it. I'm a big fan so I'm excited to hear it.

I like a few of their songs. They seem to put on a good show too. They're playing here in May with Nightwish and Sabaton at a small venue. Trying to get a few friends to go, but the ticket prices aren't helping. Lol. But yeah I like quite a bit of their songs.
