Love this song. I DJ in local pubs and often use it as a slower track at the end of the night.

yes, it is very comparable to that. very heavy at times, a real rocker, but with plenty or soft and atmospheric stuff as well. I have it on order, but when I saw it had leaked snatched it up. Fuck it - I've paid for it already! The quality of the leaked copy is perfect, btw... An amazing accomplishment for the band, and sticking a 25 minute track after 70 odd minutes already... that's

This is a stunning album. Must have listened to it 20 times now and it's hard to find any fault. Some real standout upbeat rockers: You're The Best Thing About Me Life is A Highway Shape I'm In Somedays I Only Wanna Rock & Roll Call On Me These five will boing round your head for years to come. 2 great ballads as well

Lonely Robot, the new project masterminded by producer, guitarist and vocalist John Mitchell (It Bites, Frost*, Arena), is set to release its debut album Please Come Home on 23rd February 2015. A lyric video for the track ‘God Vs Man’ has been launched. John Mitchell had this to say about the first full track to be released from the album: “God vs Man, the human race seeks to control and

I agree that Europe have gotten very stale, lost what made them so special back in the day. the sound is harder but lacks the soul and passion they used to have. This new song is quite boring, and to be honest they're a bit dull live these days until they crank up the old stuff.

Excellent piece of powerful prog from John Mitchell, with many guest artistes. http://cool-stuff-you-will-like.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/cd-review-lonely-robot-please-come-home.html

Loved the books and TV show as a kid, and the new film didn't let me down one little bit. Go and see it, it's wonderful. My review http://cool-stuff-you-will-like.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/paddington-film-review.html

He is finally making the music he loves, as opposed to trying to sell records by appeasing his fans. Shame it's shit. I was a massive fan of the music he hated making.

Understandably similar in tone to the other two, but plenty of big hooks, cool solos and awesome vocals (to me, anyway). Not going to change anyone's opinion if they aren't already a fan, but brilliant if ypu already are.,

That's a great track. Sounds like a 70s track, all quirky, funny and with a crunch where needed.

Before this issue I had never heard of The All Sports Band - there's a great one page article on page 29. If you want to see what an attempt to do a 'Village People go AOR' was like in 1981, here's one of the tracks. It's passable, I suppose, bit ultimately forgettable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8BABFbEvkM

Gerry Laffy has certainly been around the block. From his early days with UK glamsters Girl (with future Leps guitarist Phil Collen) to his more recent and very impressive solo albums, he's been there, done that and ripped the t-shirt. What you may not know is that Gerry is also something of an artist, and he's been generous enough to give us a couple of original pieces to give away to you lot.
