Here's a recent quote from Stiff Little Fingers' hjake Burns on their own Pledge Music success "We started down the road that we would normally go down, you know, we’ve got a lot of songs, we want to make a record, let’s go and talk to EMI. We talked to them, and a couple of other record labels, and to be honest they weren’t that enthusiastic. Not just about us, but about themselves

I love "Astra", especially "Rock & Roll Dream". It has a couple of weak tracks on it, but is overall my favourite of the early albums. My fave Asia album overall is "XXX".

Nice publicity stunt. Just cause you play it in galleries don't make it "art". Call me when they'ce crawled back out of their own asses.

Just seen this, and it's bloody brilliant, mixing espionage with superheroes to great effect. My review is here (along with music reviews) http://cool-stuff-you-will-like.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/film-review-captain-america-winter.html

PV rocks, and I'm sure the album will be good, but that is very sucky as a cover, no class at all.

No one wants to hurt him, but when you try something this foolish there will be people who need to point it out - no yes men here! It was a silly thing to do - hopefully he will try again with a relistic figure.

My favourite tracks are "We Will never Die", "Inferno" and "A Shot At Rdemption", but it's a very strong album overall. The ballad "All the Nights" is rather weak, and "Mannequin Show" uses exactly the same tunes as "Oops I did It Again", but apart from those it;s great.

here's the Fireworks review: It’s been a while since we last heard anything from under the Kick umbrella. Originally it was the brainchild of Chris and Mike Jones (following their excellent Freefall project), noted for their shrewd recruitment of vocalist par excellence Nick Workman. When Kick finished, Workman moved to Vega, and Chris Jones joined, I believe, the police force, leaving Mike

XXX - Superb, upbeat, creative. Gravitas - Middle of the road, laid back, quite dull. It has some catchy tunes, but my GOD it doesn't get out of third gear one single time. So disappointed.

the album is out in february. They are similar to The Answer, but I think they have more of a metal edge to them, specially live.

I like both of these albums, though I prefer Goodnight L.A The Hard Rain albums are both first class, and well worth tracking down. It's a great shame we will never hear those tracks live again.

Just curious as to what people's single favourute Queen song is. Mine is "Princes Of The Universe" I have a fondness for the "fast" version of "We Will Rock You" as well. I know it's hard to pick one for such a prolific band, but give it a go!
