I think it's pretty clear to see what they are trying to do here......push it back to November so it comes out about the same time as the new album. Seems like a smart move to be honest. DVD sales can piggy back on the back of the new album hype and help push along ticket sales for the up coming tour at the same time.

I love Conception. In Your Multitude is a great album but I think I prefer Flow a little bit more. Still what a great band. Khan and Tore Ostby were perfect together. I just wish Conception hung around a bit longer. The silver lining though is that Khan went on to do some excellent Kamelot albums and Tore gave us the mighty Ark which in my opinion is very underrated and the best thing Jorn has

Thanks a lot for the input. I'll definitely be putting some of those questions into the list. Completely agree with One Cold Winter's Night being released on blu-ray...if ever there was live DVD begging for the blu-ray its that one (and the Evergrey live dvd would look/sound amazing on blu ray) As for your last question (below your name) apparently Roy Khan is singing in a wedding band (ha

Was all set to buy the Lou Gramm book autographed from his site but it's only taking US orders! Seriously what is it with artists refusing to sell to fans outside of the US or Europe nowadays. Rick Springfield and the debacle around the recent acoustic cd is a major case in point. Then people wonder why some fans hit torrent sites for the albums / books!

Disagree with your statement on Slayer. Jeff Hanneman ( RIP ) wrote pretty much all the songs worth giving a shit about as well as many of their other lice set staples. Also without Lombardo it sounds like a completely different band so for me they are the 2 key members.

Very sad news indeed. Slayer for me was always about Lombardo and Hanneman ( RIP ). So with Jeff now gone and Lombardo most likely not returning I hope Kerry King does the honorable thing and puts the band to rest. Here's my interview from earlier this year with Kerry King where we discussed all things slayer and especially Jeff. What you don't see on the interview is when I bought up the topi

From Rikki ROckett's wiki page: "In late-1993, Rockett discovered that the then guitarist richie kotzen of Poison was having a relationship with Rockett's fiancee at the time, Deanna Eve. Kotzen was fired due to this incident. In VH1's "Behind The Music",singer Bret Michaels said he never wanted to speak to Kotzen again."

Metallica did "in the round" on their Death Magnetic tour and it worked really well because lmost every seat was a great view. I also saw Prince "in the round" last year which has n ow become my favorite concert ever (along with Springsteen a few weeks ago) and Im thinking besides an awesome show, the "in the round" concept added a lot to that night. More artis

I love Edguy but (for me) their best album were their first few where they were one of the best power metal bands going around. Vain Glory Opera and Theater Of Salvation are some of the finest albums I have ever heard in that genre. Mandrake was stellar but started a shift towards the more melodic metal....still loved it though. From there on in whilst the albums were good, I dont think any of

Hi Folks....had this "Helluva Party" song in my head for a few days now and cant for the life of me remember who the artists was and the album name. Thought I'd throw it out there as it was relatively recent and a pretty popular album around these parts. Can anyone help out?

Here are some of mine from some of the "biggest" albums. Im sure Im missing a bunch of other albums but off the top of my head: Guns n Roses - Appetite for destruction (Rocket Queen) Bon Jovi - Slippery (I'd Die For You) Extreme - Pornograffiti (Its A Monster) Mr Big - Lean Into It (Voodoo Kiss) Motley Crue - Dr Feelgood (Time For Change) Aerosmith - Pump (Monkey On My Back) Wa

Get Thrashed was actually pretty easily available here in Australia of all places. I've ordered the Jason Becker movie from his website a few months ago. Chipped in a lot more just to get the "signed" copy. Not that I really care about it being signed or whatever but more than happy for the money to be going to his charity and ALS research.

Hope not as I found Rob's playing very tasteful in D2 and he seemed to fit in nicely with the band. If he has quit I wouldn't blame him. D2 isn't the most "prolific" of bands nowadays in terms of recording and Rob strikes me as someone who wants to be kept busy. Still, if Rob is out then I REALLY hope they somehow rope Andy Timmons into rejoining the band!

I'll be there but I really doubt John Waite is going to pull a decent sized crowd. Even here in Melbourne its the same lot of people that follow this scene so Im tipping MAYBE 150-200 maximum. Still, cant wait to see him. Edit: I forgot to add I may not even be welcome at his gig given I like "super white music" made for "super white people" :)

Fair enough and that's a perfectly justifiable opinion, but your initial post said: "Where was the real british Rock in the opening party of the olympic games?" ...and given the names mentioned so far I think your question has been answered. They couldn't possibly feature every great British act in the ceremony and for what it's worth I think they did a great job with the acts the

What is your problem? Sorry to say but as much as we all love bands like maiden and Sabbath etc...they aren't on the same scale as these bands and weren't that big of an omission tbh. Overall, a very good opening ceremony. Well done London.

I asked about the recording status of the band and he said they were just about done as a recording entity because of all the lawsuits flying around. Also said it's a shame because he really thinks the current incarnation of Toto is very strong and implied (under better circumstances) they'd love to record and get out on the road for the 35th anniversary as well as supporting a new album AND help

Massive fan of Testament and all things Skolnick. Cant wait for this release. Formation OF Damnation was a damn fine disc and from what I have heard this picks right up where that left off.
