Yeah...the logic doesnt make a hell of a lot of sense to me either. He struggled to sell tickets on his own tour so I dare say he'd struggle even more if he was a headliner for a MelRock fest. His own fanbase struggled to want to see him, I dont see how a larger fanbase of other bands would be in any way interested. As an update of sorts, since the Melodic Rock fest here in Melbourne a few wee

Im interested in the WASP and Mark Slaughter but agree wuth the others. Shipoing costs to Australia are a little too high. Could you ship them without the cases? Maybe thatd drop the price? If not I'll have to pass....sorry.

The latest Rick Springfield Australia tour was cancelled because he got a oart in that Meryl Streep movie i thought. Nothing to do with too nany shows and lack of ticket sales (if we are supposed to believe the official line).

The main problem I have with this is that I have over 2,000 physical cd's (that I know of without going through my parents garage) and when I want an album I can just go to my rack's and look at the spine for what I want........these sleeves are packaged in such a way that I wouldn't be able to do that so I'd have to guess roughly where a cd is and work back from there. I store mine alphabeticall

His voice sounds good on this one. It's not as "whiny"as in the past. They have dfefinitely done something to his voice in the studio with effects and compressing but he actualy sounds OK (not great). I have one more listen left on my stream so I might give it another listen today.

All personal tastes mate and personally I love it. Maybe thats a repsonse to the relatively disappointing albums they have done since Endgame (for me) but I hope you enjoy it. If I was to rank Megadeth albums right in order they would be: 1. Countdown To Exticntion 2. Rust In Peace 3. Peace Sells 4. United Abominations 5. Dystopia 6. Youthanasia 7. The System Has Failed 8. So Far So

One of the perks of wprking in the reviewinf / interviewing field in the past. New album is excellent and a huge improvement on anything the bands has done on the last 3-4 releases. Kiko is all over this album wioth his solo-ing. IMO he's probably the bes tfit for Dave's writing since Marty was in the band. His Brazillian background shines through and there are some very latin / melodic ph

That's a fantastic thing you are doing Tom. Ive already got my VIP ticket booked and am buying a 2-day pass for my wife and sister to support the event so I dont need to take up your generous offer. It's completely up to you and Andrew how to choose a worthy recipient of your ticket but i have an idea. I work at Royal Childrens Hospital here in Melbourne and some of the things i see and storie

So I was looking at the releases schedule for the rest of 2015 and given we are now in December I dont see too many releases coming out that are going to shake my top 15 for this year....this is what I have come up with. 1. Stryper - Fallen 2. Eclipse - Armageddonize 3. Europe - War Of Kings 4. Toto - XIV 5. Pyramaze - Disciples of the Sun 6. Revolution Saints - Revolution Saints 7. Rive

I'm there regardless of who is on te line-up. I agree with the general thoughts that a band like Black Majesty / Vanishing Poiunt would be a very welcome addition as both bands might be heavier than normal but have great melodic qualities which Im sure most melrock minded people might like. Of course, I'd expect the usual local-based suspects on MRR to be part of it, but with bands like Radio

I'm pretty sure whatever Andrew has up his sleeve will be awesome given the amount of time and effort he's put into this. Given this is the first show of its type Down Under, you can bet he'd pull out all the stops to make this as big and successful as possible.

Radical Records in Dandenong right? From what I hear there isnt an embargo on this album so if any store can manage to get it i from their suppliers then they are free to start selling, I think Radical only got a few copies in though and they are gone though.

Great band and the new album is fantastic. It's typical Black Majesty but why change something if it isnt broken? THis band should be much bigger than what they currently are in the melodic metal world. If you like Dream Evil DEFINITELY check out Black Majesty

Great chat with a great man. We covered a LOT of ground but I'm tipping most people here will be interested in a 21 Guns update. Keep your ears and eyes peeled because there might be a bit of news on that front in the not-too-distant future. I'll post links to my chat when its online in the next few days to hear for yourself what Scott had to say on that front!

Really? The Radio Sun were spoken of quite regularly and quite highly around here when the album came out back in April 14 (I think). Rightfully so as they are a fantastic band and that album was excellent on all fronts. In fact a few of us who write for publications even included it in our Top Albums of 14 lists. Besides all that TRS have got A LOT of fans around these parts not only on the

Wow....2 members both leaving Megadeth and announcing it within hours of each other. I wonder if Dave Mustaine is working on getting Menza and Friedman back into the band given today's developments. http://chrisbroderick.com/blog/2014/11/25/i-am-leaving-megadeth http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/drummer-shawn-drover-quits-megadeth/

Brad Paisley is a great guitarist. IMHO he run's rings around a lot of the players that are hero-worshipped around these parts. I'd love to see him and Keith Urban in a more rock oriented band as both are great songwriters amd monster guitarists.

For God's sake. Hot Sauce if it's THAT much of an issue for you why don’t you just fade away and go make your own site where you can put up album reviews the day the promos come out. Even better why wait for the promo? Maybe you should just hang around the studio while the album is being recorded and write a review on the spot...or even better maybe you should write the material with the art

Here's my rant on this topic..... Andrew is running everything on this site on his own with no help. Sure that may be his choice and who's to tell him it's right or wrong. I'm lucky in that I’ve been working in this industry for quite a while in terms of doing reviews / interviews / news / etc for the magazines and websites I contribute to. I can tell you that those sites that have review

The samples sound good and promising for now....but you just know that Mark SLaughter is going to ruin them once he starts "singing" over the top.
