Great album. I've had it for quite a while now to review. Personally I think Vain Glory Opera, Theater of Salvation, Mandrake, and Hellfire CLub are their best albums which I dont see them ever topping....but this one is right behind them in my opinion.

I thought $30,000 was a bit steep. Having not followed the kickstarter drama (or what he's done to earn the wrath of people on here).....how much was he initially asking for and more importantly what has he said/done for people to agree he's a dick?

Herald Sun here in Melbourne is reporting that ACDC could be about to retire due to health concerns with a band member. I really hope this is not true but i heard it a few weeks ago and now it's getting picked up by some pretty credible sources also reporting the same. The story as i have heard is that they got together to rehearse for their 40th anniversary tour and Malcolm Young has fo

Cant say we didnt see this one coming. Made no sense to have RH on at mid-week, in a venue thats hard to get to depending on where you live, right after festival season. A little more due dilligence should have been done in this case. Disappoinitng as it would have been a good show. I wonder how it was selling in terms of payers anyway?

Does anyone know who the actual musicians on the upcoming Live in Poland dvd are? I'm trying to find info about who played on it but not much luck so far. Either way I'll be a first day buyer. I think Im one of the weird breed that actually preferred the Joseph Williams era of the band to the Kimball era.

Given (in my opinion of course) the 2 singles are probably 2 of the weaker tracks on the album....you are going to love this.

Ive got a copy of the new album for reviewing. Can honestly say I havent enjoyed an Edguy album this much since Rocket Ride. It's a little heavier than what they have dished up on the last few albums and whilst the hard rock element is still intact there is also a definite shift back to their heavier style from the Mandrake / Hellfire Club discs. If you like Edguy, you ae going to love this ne

Pretty sure we could get close to selling out the Corner Hotel here in Melbourne for HS. Make it a festival kind of thing with The Radio Sun, White Widdow, and maybe Juke Kartel. Build it and they will come Sir.....and of course some of us work in the press down here that can help promotoe it through our magazines, websites, and radio shows, podcasts, etc. If its a one-off thing in Melbourn

Having said that, even though I've never met him in person, Pete from HS is one of the nicest guys on social media and always takes time to connect with people when we drop him a line.

The best meet up I ever had was with Steve Lukather. I interviewd him when he was in town (Melbourne) for the G3 thingy with Satch and Vai. The interview was in the lobby of his hotel and I really only had 20 minutes but once we got talking we were there for the best part of an hour. I was at the show the night before and told him how much I liked it and covnerted my wife to be a fan on the same

After much asking around and snooping I found that quite a lot of people here in Australia all get their shirts from the same guy (off Ebay) in Bulgaria. Having bought quite a few of this guys shirts over the years, I can vouch for their quality. You'll be hardpressed to find anyone with a better range than this dude. Here is is his Ebay seller store link: http://www.ebay.com/usr/headbanger.b

Good band. Seen them a few times times and they always put on a great show (even if a lot of their songs are too long and can do with a heap of trimming). It's good to see a local Melbourne band doing something a little different so I wish them all the best.......BUT (and its a pretty big BUT)... The only thing I can see that will really get in their way is the attitude of some of the band

Agree Andrew but Im trying VERY hard not to gloat as you never know when this might come back to bite us. We looked very formidable in this series but to be honest i dont know if it was due to the Aussies being THAT much better than a few short months ago OR England just played inexplicably badly and well below what they are capable of. As much as Im loving this series whitewash, I know in

Just read this on the WW facebook page. RIP George. I never met him but I had seen him around the traps and he was (by all accounts) a great man and a top drummer. "It's with heavy hearts we are very sorry to let you all know of the passing of our beloved friend and drummer George Kristy. We are still all in shock and trying to process the loss of such an amazing person who brought great

Personally i think Andrew has done a great job in putting this line-up together so soon after MRF3. Im sure everyone can name a band or 2 or 3 that theyd really like to see that didnt get announced but theres probably a lot more to consider that you dont know about. For example id love to see Rick Springfield or Treat or TNT or Gotthard but realistically they would probably be too expensive to

Who cares? the guy put on two absolutely scinitilating sets this week and was loving every minute of it. Having met quite a few musicians in my time with the interviewing and reviewing things I do, Paul Laine was easilly the most humble and down-to-earth person I have met and it was a pleasure seeing him live here in Melbourne. Wow...THAT voice!

I cant wait for the Melbourne gig. As much as I love Paul's work and back catalogue I'm actually looking foward to seeing The Radio Sun do their own set a lot too. Hats off to Stevie and Co from the Radio Sun for putting this together. One of the finest musicians this town has to offer and (more importantly) one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet so I'm really hoping this is a success for him.

I interviewed Kamelot and spoke to Tommy a few months ago. It's still in the works just a matter of him finding big enough breaks in the Kamelot schedule to lay down his parts. From the chat I take it that the music is all done (and possibly recorded) it's just a matter of sorting out the vocals and a few other fixes.

Hey all...I was going through an old hard drive that had some mp3's from years ago and came across some Arti Tisi stuff. It was labelled melodic rock so I gave it a quick listen. This is actually really good stuff but I know next to nothing about Arti Tisi. After listening I relaised no one aroud here has really spoken about this stuff too much which is surprising as I would have thought a lo

The best Edguy bonus track is on the King Of Fools ep. The Savage Union named after their fan club. I remember speaking to Tobi one time and he mentioned Savage Union and Holy Water were 2 of his favorite Edguy songs. Cant say I disagree with him tbh.
