Well, what a fantastic night. RK was on top form and really looked to be enjoying himself, throwing shapes and interacting with the crowd, while being ably assisted by his backing band. The guys voice just seems to get stronger and stronger, too. Great setlist with a new song, 'Cannibals' being included. As for his playing...simply mesmerising. My one and only gripe.....why open the doors at 7

Good man. I've missed his last few solo shows and I've yet to see TWD so, I can't wait to see him this time round. Last time we saw him was on the 'Peace Sign' tour.

I can't think of anything I'd like less than the new U2 album, even if it is free!! Over-rated, IMHO.

Fav Survivor albums in order of preference... Caught In The Game Eye Of The Tiger Too Hot To Sleep Premonition Vital Signs. I'd rate Escape, NOTC, Hysteria, Living In Oz and Everybody's Crazy above Vital Signs in the AOR stakes.

Is that really the case? He couldn't be arsed to learn them? If that's true, he's an even bigger knob than I already thought he was.

We saw him play Firefest in 2010 and it's one of the best gigs I've ever seen. He lifted the roof of the place that night. JJ and the band were on top form and the crowd lapped it up. The setlist was perfect, too. To hear the opening riff to Caught In The Game as a set opener was orgasmic. Perfection from start to finish and a memory I'll never forget.

Totally agree with plumber. Just not the same without Brooke. Just brings something extra when he's in the band.

Did anyone go to either, and if so, how were The Dogs? I'm hearing good things about both gigs. Gutted I can't make the sold out show at The Underworld, tonight.

Not at the moment, Terry. I've had one quick listen and enjoyed some, but not all. I'll have to give it another spin at some point.

Think Terry and Melodinikos_74 got it spot on. Always had a soft spot for Arizona but, China White is a huge track. Heavy as f**k. A classic album which, in my opinion, they've never bettered.

I don't see the problem with the track. It fits nicely on the album, has a great riff and personally, I love it. Saying that, 'Shame' is a great track, too.

Yep, loving it. I'm a big Firewind fan so love Gus anyway. Great album, full of awesome riffs and some stellar guitar work. The instrumentals are great, too. Liking the tracks with JSS and Jacob Bunton.
