Let's get into the party spirit... What's your favourite Christmas songs by Rock bands? To me..there's a couple of excellent contenders from this year. The Terrorvision Christmas song 'Our Christmas Song' is superb! As is the Cats in Space Christmas single! Both fine examples of how songs USED to be around this period!! Hat's off to both bands. Sadly, neither of them getting

Looking forward to the new album....Just a great band with great songs. Also looking forward to hearing the difference in the remastered versions of the songs.

Jorn needs to get back to that Coverdale/Whitesnake melodic sound style of songs....The heavier Dio'esque sound of recent years is played out.... Better songs would help also. Having said all that, there's not many better singers around...He just needs that one album of real quality eg a Ready an Willing/Come an Get it/Slide it In type

Surprised it's another 'Remaster'...The album was remastered just a few years ago so not sure how this would sound much different from that? And as mentioned earlier in the thread where are the new guitar tracks AV laid down for it? Would have preferred a total'Remix' by Chris Collier but doesn't look as if that's part of the package (Maybe selected track?) Will need to know more details

Hughes irritates the shit out of me. There's no doubt he's a good singer but that constant showboating and screaming at every opportunity makes me want to slap the fuck out him. He's like the Rock version of Mariah Carey. Shame really, because if he just concentrated on the actual singing part he's more than decent.

Believe it may be getting a full 'remix' by Chris Collier and apparently Vandenburg spent time over at Coverdale's place adding tracks/fills. It's my least favorite WS album because of the shitty/tinny production....Hopefully the remix will give add some depth..If it's anywhere near the quality Collier brought to the Slide it In remix then we're onto a winner. For some other interesting new

Who's been the best singers/front-men you've ever seen ? Let's go for top 5. For me..... 1) Danny Bowes: Have seen Thunder many times over the years and have NEVER seen a poor performance by DB (Or Thunder for that matter). Consistently hits the notes...effortlessly..To me..THE best vocalist out there still. And such a great front-man...Always get's the crowd going and you never leave a gi

Surprised by Rebs comments. He does sound like he's whinging while Doug's response is very measured and professional. Maybe it's came across different than Reb meant it to but he'd have been better, in my view, to not air this publicly.

Very high hopes for this album. Tracks I've heard sound great and haven't read one bad review! DC sounds like he's singing more in his natural register which helps. Live..Could be hit and miss..but that happens with age, and one thing for sure..you never leave a WS concert feeling dissapointed. Once the touring days are finished would love him to do an album with Bernie Marsden and get back t

Restless Heart now has additional guitar parts added by Joel Hoekstra. Plus some other additional add ons here and there. I always liked this album but felt it lacked a bit of edge which apparantly it now has. With regard to the Coverdale/Page album, try as I might, I've never been able to get into that one at all! Would love a 2019 remix by Chris Collier of Ready & Willing and Come an'Ge

It was Coverdale and Vandenburg who mentioned it recently. AV had recorded extra guitar parts for a remix apparantly. Never enjoyed this album due to the production and Vai's sole guitar so hoping a remix with the extra guitar parts improves on that.

Kept his voice within its natural range throughout his career. Plays really short shows ( Which irks me to be honest ). But always delivers. The Master.

I've heard that Kalodner also tried it on with Tawney Kitaen ..She claimed this in an interview..and after that relations soured dramatically with him and Coverdale. Having said that, back in the day he responded to a message I'd sent him and was very engaging and witty in his response, which was appreciated. Still..as someone said to me recently..Beware of anyone who names themselves twice on

I've said this a number of times in the past and here I go again (see what I did there?!). What are some of you guys hearing here? It's not Live from the Heart of the City standard vocals, but NOWHERE near as bad as you're saying. The vocals are fine in the videos..They're typical phone recordings.... I don't care what gig you go to..If footage is from a phone the vocals are rarely great. I'v

Hi garyt... Not sure if they're replacing....It was AV himself who claimed he'd added guitar parts for all the songs then DC gave away that it will getting the full remix treatment. It's the one WS album I really struggle with because as good as Vai is..the guitars sound so wrong with little depth 9Not helped by the tinny production). Hopefully the remix will really beef the sound up

Brilliant package! Both UK & US versions are excellent, but the 2019 remix is off the scale!! With the new album due and then a remixed Slip of the Tongue (with extra A Vandenberg guitar parts) and a remixed Restless Heart (with extra guitar from Joel Hoekstra) it's gonna be a good year for all lovers of the Snake fellas.

Motley Crue (with Killing joke supporting) at the Glasgow SECC. The sound for Killing Joke was teeth juddering..Just awful. Hoped for better when Crue came on but a total joke......Could feel my ears starting to burst (and we were at the back!!) I like my gigs loud but this was at the levels that it was a wall of sound and couldn't make out any instruments. Truly truly dreadful. La

Still don't get the Coverdale negativity. Yeah he's hot and cold live at times (though last couple of times I've seen him he was VERY good). And on the studio albums he's not going to sound like he did on Ready & Willing or Slide it In. BUT he still sounds fine. Compare him to many of todays so called modern singers and he still leaves them in his wake. As I've said previously,

Picked this up the other week-Just wonderful. The 2019 Remix by Chris Collier is superb-Brings the album right up to date and is punchy as hell. And the 1984 Glasgow Apollo gig (I was there) is great! With the extras/dvd it may be a slightly pricey package but well worth it. Also heard a few tracks from the new Flesh & Blood album and think people are going to be pleasantly surpri

Totobob You've summed it up perfectly mate. I LOVE the first 2 albums and was so looking forward to the new album. But you're spot on..very few rockers..little edge...and a very lack-lustre affair. Maybe it will grow on me but based on the first 2 and seeing them live I was hugely disappointed in DTN. If the new album had been the very first thing I'd heard from this band I don't th

Not for the price of tickets it's not....I'm with Lutty on this....PR's has had a reputation for YEARS of playing really short sets....He may be a great vocalist, but the prices they were asking for a set that short were ridiculous. Would love to have went to Glasgow show but not for that money.

Yes..They missed a trick with JSS..Saw him with the band in Glasgow, and the energy (and vocal ability) he brought to the band was terrific... .I remember thinking when I left the gig how good a move it was bringing him into the fold.... Just shows you.. But to any fan of the band, and musician out there, we all know you were an important part of the Journey history books Jeff... As regards
