Can't wait to see them in Glasgow in December..All the reviews of the tour so far have been great. And got to agree with Phils' earlier comments, DC's a legend and will be missed when he stops touring....He may be older, and in the twilight of his career, but always gives 100%. Time to stop knocking, and appreciating these great artists as they come to the tail end of their careers.

Toto Bob...& Nik,,,,You guys make excellent points.... Occasionally on n other sites like Blabbermouth, Classic Rock etc etc....there's a line that people just tend to cross...that can border on the ridiculous and downright venemous. Nik made the point about DLR and DC,,I remember reading an article last month on line about Coverdale,(not on this site I may add) and while most posts were

I'm with Terry K here guys..It does sound like in ear monitor issues ...and trust me..having used them myself..if their not spot on..can cause HUGE pitching issues with the vocals......I've seen this with MANY bands over the years.... I actually ended up going back to on stage vocal monitors which I prefer (call me old school!)..Maybe that would be BK's best bet for future gigs....

I'm not so keen on extended solos myself to be honest..but they're always done this since I first saw them back in 1980 Would prefer more songs but some people enjoy them more than others I guess Can tolerate them if they're kept pretty short....

Again....DC seems to be in tremendous form (backed up by the many many videos I've seen from the tour) No doubt you'll get the usual suspects slagging his vocals off, but FFS when he's singing great let's embrace it and give him kudos. From what I've heard from people who've been to the shows he's sounding as good as he ever did.... Can't wait till Glasgow in December.....

Only gig I've ever walked out of last time they played the Glasgow SECC........Just a wall of noise .. and I mean the worst sound I've EVER experienced at a gig....I thought my ears were going to start bleeding.... A shame really as I liked their music and had seen them at Donnington years before and enjoyed them. Never again tho.....

To me...The Darkness are decent musicians..BUT when JH starts singing it becomes a joke.......Horrible voice! Ive been fortunate (?) to see them twice live(not thru choice I may add)..The first time with Def Leppard in Glasgow, and we all thought it must be some sort of joke.... And to me...I reckon that's what they began as..a piss take in the vein of spinal tap and somehow along the way

All the videos I've seen from the tour have been excellent! DC sounds in GREAT voice-probably better than I've heard him in years, and all the reviews have been tremendous. I know he's had his critics over the years but to me he seems to have the fire back and maybe the criticism he received from certain quarters recently has made him more determined to prove the critics wrong.(Classic Rock

Think there were time constraints on that particular show due to venue cut off times..The other sets on the tour have had maybe 4 or 5 more songs listed, so although there are the usual solo spots, theres also more in the way of songs played. 2 hours is pretty damn good!

Whether you like the new album or not ( And I DO like it..Would rate it solid 8 out of 10), just saw some live vidsof the first few dates of the US tour, and I've gotta say the band sound fucking immense! DC singing great, singing more in the mid range that suits him so well, and the harmonies from Reb Beach & Michelle Lupi great! It's also good to see that they've COMPLETELY overhauled

Agree with you on Dave Everley Ramsay....He tries to be funny and ends up sounding like a twat. Can''t say the same for Ling though-How many interviews have you ever read by journalists that openly criticise an artists ability DURING an interview with the actual artist He may have raise other pertinent points, but some of his questioning was disrespectful in the extreme and downright obnoxi

Quite frankly, I can't believe the negativity directed to Coverdale around this. Have any of you read the interview in full?...Dave Ling was being a total dick......questioning his ability throughout, and asking him how he felt that his voice was now shot?!! DURING a fucking interview??!! Granted DC took the bait, but can any one of us say we wouldn't have reacted in such a manner.... (

Defo not disputing the original version being better Thinny, but I do like the energy of the new version-Will need to hear the rest of the album though before making a judgement on it. Still remains strange that he's taken this path....Would have been far better if this had been released as a "bonus" album alongside an album of all new material. On that front of earnings however b

I'm not getting the despair at the vocal mix on this at all...It's been over layered with harmonies and there's' NO auto tune as someone suggested To me it sounds fine......and rocks...While I'm not too happy about the lack of NEW material if the rest of the Purple album sounds like this then I think it will be pretty decent. The one thing I can't understand however is that surely Coverdal

Like that cover a lot Timstar. For me, it would be a choice between Whitesnake's 'Lovehunter' or 'Come an'get it'--If pushed to one as you say then probably 'Come an'get it' Great cover and a tongue in the shape of a pussy-Now THAT'S Rock and roll right there!!

Enjoy the album, but have never classed it as a proper WS album-more a DC solo album. On that basis, not a patch on 'Into the Light', or 'Northwinds' tho......

Looking forward to it-Forevermore delivered big time and Coverdale knows exactly what he's doing. On album he sounds good (still) and yeah live can be a bit hit and miss nowadays but I'll still be there supporting the legend who's kept me well entertained and written some damn fine music over the years.
