Agree with you on Dave Everley Ramsay....He tries to be funny and ends up sounding like a twat. Can''t say the same for Ling though-How many interviews have you ever read by journalists that openly criticise an artists ability DURING an interview with the actual artist He may have raise other pertinent points, but some of his questioning was disrespectful in the extreme and downright obnoxi

Quite frankly, I can't believe the negativity directed to Coverdale around this. Have any of you read the interview in full?...Dave Ling was being a total dick......questioning his ability throughout, and asking him how he felt that his voice was now shot?!! DURING a fucking interview??!! Granted DC took the bait, but can any one of us say we wouldn't have reacted in such a manner.... (

Think it's a pretty cool album...Maybe not as rocking as previous but good songs, and gets better with repeated plays

First review of the new Snake album- very detailed and is making me look forward to this more in anticipation than dread now. http://rockguitardaily.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/whitesnake-purple-album-critics-be.html

Anyone have any idea whether these guys are going to be doing another record? Absolutely LOVED the debut and know they got some good support slots on various tours when it came out

Defo not disputing the original version being better Thinny, but I do like the energy of the new version-Will need to hear the rest of the album though before making a judgement on it. Still remains strange that he's taken this path....Would have been far better if this had been released as a "bonus" album alongside an album of all new material. On that front of earnings however b

I'm not getting the despair at the vocal mix on this at all...It's been over layered with harmonies and there's' NO auto tune as someone suggested To me it sounds fine......and rocks...While I'm not too happy about the lack of NEW material if the rest of the Purple album sounds like this then I think it will be pretty decent. The one thing I can't understand however is that surely Coverdal

Like that cover a lot Timstar. For me, it would be a choice between Whitesnake's 'Lovehunter' or 'Come an'get it'--If pushed to one as you say then probably 'Come an'get it' Great cover and a tongue in the shape of a pussy-Now THAT'S Rock and roll right there!!

Enjoy the album, but have never classed it as a proper WS album-more a DC solo album. On that basis, not a patch on 'Into the Light', or 'Northwinds' tho......

Looking forward to it-Forevermore delivered big time and Coverdale knows exactly what he's doing. On album he sounds good (still) and yeah live can be a bit hit and miss nowadays but I'll still be there supporting the legend who's kept me well entertained and written some damn fine music over the years.

I've said this many times to people, but having listened to the new Thunder album, and watching this guy perform live, I reckon that he must now take his place up with the GREATS of Rock music....ie with Rodgers, Coverdale , Plant etc Indeed, in my own opinion, Bowes is better!- Constantly delivers live..never misses a trick..and got great presence about him on stage. I know the others are

Loving the new album..Best songs & lyrics for years..and best album imho since LOJD. Danny Bowes remains one of THE greatest vocalists.

I like Ousey, but for me his vocal is completely the wrong fit for a blues based band -I can't listen to the Snakecharmer album because his voice grates on the songs...yet I like him on other projects better suited to him....

Hughes is an enigma to me..... Sure..The guy can sing..BUT..His constant screaming sounds fucking terrible.....I recently got the Jon Lord tribute album and his excess screaming is a joke! He ruined Purple in a live environment and is doing the same again.....Someone needs to give him a right fucking slap. When he chooses to just SING he's great..but he always ends up ruining things with

I believe the album is still in the final stages of mixing so doubt whether anything will be out there as yet. From what I understand from various musicians/people linked to the band the feedback is that its epic and far surpassses Forevermore ( which I thoroughly enjoyed) Proof will be in the pudding but really looking forward to this one. With regard to the songwriting, I'm guessing t

I know it's not really Melodic Rock but wonder if there are any fans of Colin Hay out there. He's a fantastic songwriter and love his voice, and also been lucky to catch him live a couple of times...terrific.
