Marillion! When Fish was still drunk like a fish, he wrote the best songs/lyrics. Clutching at Straws was his creative high, and personal low. Now in his solo years, the man is a happy camper and his albums pretty much suck.

Bark at the Moon. Based mostly on Jake's playing, the guy is and will always be one of the very best players out there. The songs on it are also some of the most memorable Ozzy tunes.

Voodoo Highway for sure! I love the debut, but never found anything as good as the VH album in the bluesy hardrock department. I love it to death and can play it all day long, never gets boring. The songs are great, Ray and Jake are on fire, and the last song (In a Dream) is an emotional goodbye to Ray Gillen. Dusk also has a special place in my heart, especially after reading the making of

Lou Falco of the band (wicked) Maraya. Incredible voice! Last I heard, he was playing in a second rate funk cover band. What a waste... And what about the vocalist of the first Cry of Love album? Forgot his name, but a great singer. I believe he's a drummer in a coverband now.... Such a shame.

Saw the new video ("Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)"). Without the images, I almost wouldn't have noticed Kahn was no more. It sounds like the past 4 albums. Very good musicianship, a great vocalist, a wall of sound. But all of this cannot hide the fact that it is also very standard powermetal. Too bad, I really hoped this new singer would bring something new like the way Kahn did wit

I went to see Lillian Axe play last friday and was really impressed from what I saw and heard. The band was in top shape and the setlist couldn't be any better! Lots of classics and some new great songs. The biggest surprise was that former vocalist Derrick Lefevre joined them on stage again because Brian Jones couldn't make it cause of a medical condition. Derrick saved the tour, what a great
