Not seen these guys mentioned here although I think they were on the front page some time back, anyway I picked this up cheap without hearing a note of any of there stuff and whilst its not ground breaking it still pretty good and catchy as hell. I like it enough to check out there other disc. The Girl With Guilty Eyes

Your in for one hell of a time saw them last night at the Leadmill in Sheffield and it was a fantastic show. Ty Taylor is one of the best front men I've seen for some time and the crowd was well up for it I haven't seen a crowd so animated in a long time. It was one of those gigs that when it ends you stand there and think where did the last hour and half go it just flew by. Enjoy.

My vinyl copy arrived today and I have to say the whole package is simply stunning if this is the standard Rocktopia deliver going forward count me in. I've not heard any of it yet i didn't even bother with online samples so tonight I'll be cracking open a cold one kicking back and dropping the needle.

Definitely will be buying this however I notice that the ticket only CD is on general sale on the website, A bit of a poke in the eye for those that bought a ticket and thought it was exclusive as it has been in previous years.

This is a concert live release, watch the gig and buy it on your way out so yes does sound a bit raw given there is no time to play around with the sound. I have both the Shepherds Bush and the Bournemouth issues. Check out concert lives website they are always doing offers I got mine for £5 each.

This is what Dave Ling had to say on his web diary The breaking news of the sudden closure of the UK office of Roadrunner Records astounded me so much that I almost had to remove my glasses, rub my eyes and re-read what was before me. Roadrunner have the best artist roster, the most efficient promo staff and a reputation and kudos that is second to none. This excellent story at the Metal Ham

Maybe it's just the economic climate and people are being a bit more selective in what they are attending this year. Perhaps in previous years they've waited until after the summer festivals to buy tickets and this year have decided one festival is all they can afford and have gone for Firefest. Then again I could be wrong.

I have that much confidence in the firefest team I would buy my tickets ahead of any band announcement. Name the date and venue and I,ll buy them like a shot.

From Classic Rock Sammy Hagar has accused Van Halen of using tapes of Michael Anthony’s vocals on their reunion tour with David Lee Roth. Blabbermouth report that Hagar has said: “Those vocal harmonies on the last tour were Mike on tape. Mike should’ve reamed them for it. Wolfie don’t sing like that, and Ed sure as hell don’t. Go on the Internet and listen to Ed’s voice live
